Hi guys, are there any PC programs out there that let you edit exported SMS messages?
I'm currently using GOSMS PRO, I'm able to backup my messages in either .dat or .xml format. I also use SMS Backup & Restore and it also backs up to .xml format.
I can open the .xml file in a text editor and can edit the message contents from there, but the date format doesn't make sense to me so I was wondering if there's an editor that's GUI friendly?
I also know about apps like Fake Text or SMS Faker etc, but I wanna edit the messages on PC as it's a lot easier and faster.
compare xml and the msg in your inbox, look at the date etc and decode the format yourself, its the easy way you can do
from the ARC
You can save an change SMS by MyPhoneExplorer

Try This:
1. WhatsApp stores a backup of all conversations in the SD Card. It can be accessed by doing the following:
1. Install a File Manager such as Astro File Manager, on BlueStacks
2. Navigate to sdcard/WhatsApp/Databases/
3. The message history backups are stored here. Click down on the file msgstore.db.crypt,
select Copy from the options that come up. Navigate to
/sdcard/bstfolder/bstSharedFolder/ and paste the file.
4. This file can now be accessed on the PC by navigating to
C:/ProgramData/BlueStacks/UserData/SharedFolder.
2. Now the messages can be accessed by decrypting the databases (this link tells you how)
I Don't Know That Whether It'll Work Or Not. [Do At Your Own Risk. ]
This worked for me
1. Explore your phone files on your PC, search for whatsapp messages in something like this: phone/whatsapp/databases
2. Upload the last created message database you found to your Dropbox or Drive account
3. Install file manager HD in bluestack (This App allows you to copy/delete files from SD and cloud servers/dropbox)
4. Make sure to uninstall whatsapp from bluestack before you do next step
5. In the file manager HD identify the database you upload in dropbox
6. Install whatsapp, before they ask your phone number do the next step
7. In file manager hd move the message file from dropbox to SDcard/whatsapp/databases
8. Put phone in whatsapp and it will ask you to recover messages, accept, and it should work
while updating the bluestacks whatsapp, i changed my profile name and now no old history is available... how to get my old chat history, Please help.
better idea is install file manager make a zip file of watsapp folder and paste it to /sdcard/bstfolder/bstSharedFolder/
find that zip file on your pc from C:/ProgramData/BlueStacks/UserData/SharedFolder and paste it in your phone and extract it to your internal directory and done
Any ideas as to why when I create a new email folder on my hotmail account on a PC, it doesn't appear in the folders on my android app (stock kitkat email app)? Any way to refresh the folder list? I can find emails contained in any 'new' folder by searching for them on the android app, but I'm unable to actually get to the newly created folder.
Same happens when i delete a folder using my PC on my hotmail - the folder isn't deleted (or at least still appears) on the email app.
Many thanks for any help you can offer.

Are there any OCR photo to text apps that create PDF files that have copy and paste. It doesn't matter if it is PDF but it would be preferable. Even just being able to copy the text and export it to a word doc would be awesome. The problem I have now is; the apps I have used to scan my text books all convert the file to a locked state where I cannot copy and paste things out of to document, which I need for university. Google Keep has a feature that works well for allowing an image to have the text extracted but all you can do is copy the text and the format of the sentences are all borked and it does not allow to send to a doc, you have to manually open an office suite then click on paste, copy it to computer, fix all of the formatting and then it will work. I was hoping that someone has some idea of a better process to follow
I have a few different app/programs on my s21fe and connecting phone to pc unable to locate any mention of the files or the text files in it's file base.
