When i change my wallpaper p.ex. for a yellow one, i still have the light bar displaying the Blue Light from the Blue Theme...
I think that this app makes the lightbar display the colour based on the Wallpaper and not based on the Theme...
Gotta try the app
This thing works ! Great job stracian! Now if you could add an option to crop the pic it would be great.

Well app works great.

Works well for me. You can also change back to another wallpaper the regular way and keep the colour led's. Nice option for unrooted users.
Thanks!
EDIT:
When using dark pictures, like black ones with only a few colour elements the average is very dark, resulting in the bar lighting up at lowest brightness. Not really a problem for me, just wanted to give some feedback.

You download the apk file and once done, you tap on the file and it asks you for installing. Did you allowed installing unsigned apps ?

I can't install this, it says "application not installed". Any suggestions? I have installing unsigned apps enabled.
Never mind. Installed, but I better like the default leds.
I installed it, but I didn't like it so I unninstaled. But now when i change my wallpaper the colour stays as it was when I had this app.

Hello,
I am working on an option to allow us to change the grey task bar color when ToucWiz is installed.
Thanks! This is badly needed as its an eye sore. Now if I could only dump the Samsung email program and get back to the AOSP version Id be a happy guy running Touch Wiz.
This should be in themes.

Some help: change colour of these pngs:
traybar_bg.9.png
traybar_handler_normal.png
in:
\system\app\SystemUI.apk\res\drawable-xlarge-mdpi\
Be careful tho, the traybar_bg9 is a .9.png
Lights out mode:
Code:
View v = findViewById(R.id.view_id);
v.setSystemUiVisibility(View.STATUS_BAR_HIDDEN);
But it may be to much for you

any progress? i can't wait to get it back to black...
Can you give us an update on your progress?
There will be no update from this troll. Read some of his other forums. He doesn't know what he is talking about. There are only a handful of devs who I would listen to when rooting. Doc being one of them. Make sure you know you can trust the source before moving files around.

I came across a minor bug: when I turn the Data switch off it's button remains highlighted with blue for several minutes, though the notification about data traffic being turned off appears in status bar. The switch turnes blanck immediately in the two cases:
1. If the Data is swithed off when the 3g-icon is present in the status bar (which is primarily not).
2. If any other switch in the panel is turned on or off - the Data switch goes gray the very moment the other switch changes it's status. In any othe case the switch stayes highlighted tough the data traffic itself have already been disabled.
I'm not sure if the issue is specific to Xperia Pro or it affects the hole family of Arcs/Neos/Pro. But I gues it is worth some attention to be payed to.
@kirill_k
I checked the behavior on my device and no issue. It works fine.
I already replaced the icons with diferent ones, because I do not like so much the look :$ But the functionality is superb.
I have question, to change the label from "Auto rotation" to just "Rotation". Which file I need to modify?

Hi.
Have been reading in t I have upgraded my Xperia S to 4.04CH, and it is a joy.
However, google / Sony have not optimized the usage of the screen of the smartphone, so the number of icons & apps available on every screen is limited.
Is there any way, that one coul "rearrange" the icons and free space on the different screens.
To illustrate i have taken a couple of screenshots.
Yellow boxes are items that ought to be moved
White boxes are umused areas that could be brought to use.
Anyone have any idea of how to do the above ?
Furthermore - is there a way, to get the phone to display a number 0-99/100 instead of the battery icon ?
Hope you have got some ideas
Thanks

you have to have root (and recovery is essential as well if you don't know how to use adb) and modify system files to achieve that. look in the Themes & Apps section, someone has already done that and made the flashable zips available for download.
regarding the home screen issue, again, you have to modify the apk file itself; edit the layout then rebuild the apk and flash/push it back to you phone. there's also a modded home screen app in the Themes & Apps section, though i haven't check what has been changed, so take a looky there.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1724602
But you need root

Preaty sure you can achive what you want with any third party launcher, most have the option to sett the grid size of the hs.
As far as battery icon goes, il take the question further and ask: does the uot kitchen work with sxs files?
I know how to change which apps are shown on the lock screen, but is there a way to change the icons for those apps?
I'm using Apex Launcher and I've changed some of the icons for apps on my home screens, but it still shows the original icons on the lock screen. It would be nice if I could change them so that they match.
Is there an app that I can use to do this?

Actually, I'm pretty sure it says that he knows how to change what programs go there, but he wants to change Icons for certain things. E.g. he wants a different icon for the Dialer instead of the stock one, he doesn't want to change it so Dialer isn't there.
You'll have to use themes to change icons though afaik, so you're probably better off looking for that OP.

Read the very first thing I said: -
"I know how to change which apps are shown on the lock screen, but is there a way to change the icons for those apps?"
It's not possible unless someone mods the touchscreen (probably quite difficult).
Your best solution would be to change the actual app icon - there should be a png in drawable-res/??? (??? = resolution of sgs3) that is the icon. you can overwrite it with winzip or whatever (make sure the size is the same though).
Axtually, just use a different lock screen app.

s3 lock screen icons
.,
it is possible i think. Just use xposed framework and download icon themer module.
Xposed framework: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
Icon Themer: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40603494
Requires Xposed Framework!
Hey guys,
this is the first project I'm sharing on here, so be gentle
After stumbling across the Xposed framework one or two ideas came to mind and I made a module out of them:
Hide the "Swipe to unlock" text from the lock screen on my Xperia Z1c
Enable the CRT off animation
Prevent the screen from turning on when unplugged from the charger
The first two things work nicely on my Xperia Z1c, the third however I could not get to work.
APK and source for the first version are attached.
I don't know if this is of much use for anyone else, but I would be glad if someone could help with the third option.
Update v2:
The third option works now, the new version 2 is attached.
If activated, the screen will not turn on when connected to (or disconnected from) either charger or dock.
Update v3:
I uploaded a new version (attached) which adds the following options:
Hide the camera icon on the lock screen
Hide the carrier label on the lock screen of some Xperia devices
Hide the sparkles effect on the lock screen of some Xperia devices
Update v4:
I uploaded a new version which adds an option for disabling the analog clock face above the list of alarms on some Xperia devices.
Update v5beta2:
The new version adds preliminary support for Lollipop (untested).
You're welcome to try it and give feedback.
The module can also be found on the Xposed repo: http://repo.xposed.info/module/net.feichti.screentweaks
You say the "disable screen on on unplug" doesn't work, I haven't had a chance to check yet, but I've looked at your code an found the following
Correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as i can see on line 56 on ScreenTweaks.java, you are getting a value as a string from pref and checking if it equals "on" or "off". Why not just save a boolean?
secondly, line 39
mPrefs = new XSharedPreferences(MY_PACKAGE_NAME);
Don't you need the file name as well? Again, sorry if I am wrong about this
Otherwise, sounds like a great mod, will try it now
Hey hamzahrmalik, thanks for your reply.
The setting on line 56 is for the CRT animation, and it's that way so I can select to not do anything (don't change system default).
The other thing is correct, because I want the default shared preferences for the module package.
Well, looks like I was looking in the wrong place.
The setting for not turning on the screen works just fine if I connect a charger, but I was always testing it with the dock, which is something different.
Dock aware don't-turn-on coming soon...
thanks for work
