Android 4.0.3 BUGS on Sony Tablet S - Sony Tablet S

I've updated my Sony Tablet S through S.ony AiO tool v3.1 2 months ago to Android 4.0.3.
There was some bugs that i don't know why and how to fix, I've done the factory data reset several times but those bugs were not gone.
1. When I go to Youtube app and tap the search box, 1/3 screen flashes constantly, each 15 mins after getting out the home screen, and get in Youtube again, it's still like that but only in 5 seconds and then I watch normally.
2 . Sometimes, when I was in some apps, it automatically press the back button or home button on the screen when i do nothing and the app exits.
3. Sometimes, when i do somethings seems "heavy", it restarts.
Can I flash back to Honeycomb 3.2.1, if yes, how?
Thanks a lot!!

If you have root then yes. Also there is a new 4.0.3 known as release 1a. Be sure to preroot before install, if you want go maintain root.

[Q] Tablet will not turn on wifi

Shortly after Team DRH's last update for their ICS 1.2 I installed it no problem and it ran for a few weeks. Then I left the tablet alone for a week or so and when I turn it on now the wifi is not working, it just says "turning on wifi" but never actually does. I've followed the reflash instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=23147934&postcount=4 and I can re-install ICS endlessly. But even after following those instructions, and even after RayWaldos NVFlash for dummies, it still always says "turning on wifi" but doesn't.
When, during the above flashing, I let the stock tapntap boot, wifi works no problem. It's only when i install a ROM that it stops working. I even tried installing Gtabcombover and it gave me the same "turning on wifi" problem.
I did try searrching the forums, but I see no mention of this anywhere.
Thanks.
If I can be more to the point: does anyone know of a way to completely reflash stock everything? I thought I was doing that, but obviously not enough.
Or do I need to crack open my case and push that Dirty Little reset button?

I was able to use the DHR NUFLASH.. It worked real well for me.. download the right file (bootloader 1.1 or 1.2) to your pc, for your g-tab.hook up your USB cable Turn on your tab wile holding your volume (-) key , the logo will come on and then go black. Then go to the nuflash- win file, you downloaded to your pc and run.. The instructions are on the DHR site are vary good I read them a few times before I tried. Its worked great for me.. I'm a noob. Lets just say its just about makes the gtab un-brickable...

Well the good news is that after reading your post I went straight to the DRH website and lo and behold they had just posted Beta 1.3 that morning. I redownloaded their Full Stock CWM 5504 NVFLASh file even though I already had it, and the Beta 1.3.
I flashed the stock file and let it boot just like they said but the setup process began a FC loop and would not complete. I simply rebooted and the setup was able to complete. The I installed the Beta 1.3 with no Gapps and it worked like a charm. Wifi was working and everything, except there was no Market. So I did a wipe/FR and installed again this time with Gapps and everything is back, wifi, market, all good. And I have noticed that it all seems to work a ton faster and smoother.

Changing Firmware - small problems

Hi,
Originally my phone was from the UK Carphone Warehouse (CPW)
I have upgraded it from 2.2 to 2.3 etc...
The last time I did a firmware upgrade to ICS was a few months back and I didn't have any problem doing it.
After the upgrade, I had a few bugs. I used this file - GT-I9100_XEO_I9100XXLPW_I9100OXALPW_I9100XXLPW.tar and the main bugs I have are - The screen won't lock and when I press the Power Button, it will turn the screen off but when I hold it for 1 second the phone closes down.
So today I thought, lets see if I can change my firmware to a CPW version, so I downloaded GT-I9100_XEU_I9100XWLP7_I9100XXLPS_I9100XEULP5.tar and installed that. It went through the usual stuff and upon restarting I was getting an "android.core" crash. The screen stops working and after several reboots nothing change. I also booted up and cleared the cache, and this didn't do anything either.
I have just reverted back to the first ICS upgrade but still has not screen lock or when I press the power button for 1 second it closes down.
I wondered if anyone else has had these problems or could recommend to me what may fix it.
I appreciate all help
Thanks

GPS after Condi's: unable to fix <-- Returning to stock for RMA?

After installing Condi's rooted ICS, I'm unable to get a gps fix, even when GPS Test shows 10 birds. When and if it finally gets a fix, it's after 30 minutes, with 60 metres error.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S, so I've already tried every trick in the book to fix it (FasterFix, clear / download A-GPS, the works), and nothing helps.
IF I have to send the tablet for recovery, how can I return it to stock?
Thanks

Delete super user and busybox
Flash stock ics rom from recovery.
Reset to factory from recovery.
Or to be extra safe flash your stock 3.2.1r2. then use aio unroot if root is still there for some reson, lol. As you can allways reroot 3.2.1 where as you cant reroot ics from within ics.
Was the gps working before root etc? You could try reinstall ics.

Thanks for the reply!
I actually gave it one last try... I left it under clear sky for 2 hours, and let it hard fix. So, it finally fixed, and now it fixes in ~2 mins (TTFF) with ~10 m accuracy. Not excellent, but at least it doesn't justify sending it to RMA anymore

Android uses your region to determine approximate position and assist with obtaining the first GPS fix. Once you have a hard fix, it updates values so it will always get a fix faster in the future.
It's entirely possible that the problem was simply that it thought it was on the other side of the world after updating to Condi's ICS.

How stable is the firmware 4.0.4 for I9100G

Hi
I have a 4.0.3 france firmware installed samsung I9100G.But lately the no lockscreen problem (holding the power button will not bring the options and just shuts the phone off),ringtone and a few other problems started to annoy me really bad.
I'm thinking to install the 4.0.4 german firmware from samfirmware but how stable is it? is there any problem with the 4.0.4 or anything special i should know about it?
i have reflashed the 4.0.3 but those problems didnt go away.
thanks for any helps.
Go back to GB.For me that is more stable than ICS or JB.

If the firmware is official, it should be stable. So, your choice: or GB, or ICS.

updated to 4.0.4 but nothing changed.
ok here are the problems:
- The power button options are not showing up. if i hold the power button it just closes the phone directly.
- The screen lock doesnt work. Wont lock the screen with any option there.
- The sim lock doesnt work. If i put the sim lock on (put a lock on the sim) the phone starts normally but wont let me call or text. So i have to disable the lock on the sim to make it work normal.
Now these are the problems i have seen so far. When i got the phone it was GB and there was absolutely no prob until updating to ICS. So whats the suggestion, should i give a try on custom firmware ICS or go back to official GB? if you say custom firmware then which one?

It's always recommended to perform a factory reset after upgrading your phone software

For me the samsung stock roms are like windows o/s.
GB=xp
Ics=vista
Jb=w7
A crude comparison......but vista was a pile of crap.....

1. If your phone is not rooted, root.
2. Create file /efs/imei/keystr, containing the word ON.
3. Make sure the file has rw-r--r--, or 644 permissions.

5. Profit!

ok thank you very much bro. that did it
i first rooted the phone from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1679778 with the option 2.
then used this little guide:
- Download "Terminal Emulator" app from market
- open it
- type into the command:
su
echo -n ON > /efs/imei/keystr
sync
Go to home, force close your terminal app, shut your screen off, and when your turn it back on your lock screen should? be there.
Obviously you must be rooted the "su" command
And for Signal Problem Simply do not put any pin on your sim ,,,

WOW! JB4.2 for my Neo V. Installing now. Will report back.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
My Feedback
1. Booted after installing ROM. Seems to get stuck on the blue "CyanogenMod" bootanimation. The circle stops turning. Remained like that for around 20 seconds. Pressed the Power switch to try to turn the phone off. Instead of turning off, the bootanimation circle resumed turning and booted normally.
2. Turned on wifi. It works.
3. Tried to reboot into Recovery to install GAPPS. Seemed to have gotten stuck with phone saying rebooting but circle was not moving. Pressed the Power switch again and the circle resumed turning. It rebooted but when I saw "Xperia" I pressed the Down Volume switch to get into Recovery, just in case.
4. My phone has now booted up normally (no stuck bootanimation as mentioned in (1) above) after installing GAPPS. Will take it for a test drive.
Further Feedback
1. After rebooting tred to get into Play Store. But can't connect. Wifi is working.
2. Created a Settings shortcut on the Home page. After which I can't return to the Apps drawer. Pressing the Apps Drawer icon has no response. A couple of times the phone dialpad appeared instead. Scrolled left horizontally. The phone froze. Can't get back to the main Home page.
3. Finally pressed the Power switch and selected Reboot. The phone said it was rebooting but the circle was not turning. Waited 20 seconds and pressed the Power switch. The phone turned off. Pressed the Power switch again and got back into Recovery. Restoring a nandroid backup at the present moment.
