Hello respectful devs..
Well, I recently lost my phone and totally new to this android world..
I wanna buy an android phone..
My budget is about 235 usd or Rs. 13000..
For which phone should i go ??
I shortlisted 2 phones - Defy+ & Neo V
Please guide me to get the best out of my budget with more developers support and more HD games and apps..
Thank you..
Defy+ is better....
go for it..
What's the current price of neo V. I don't think it will be under 13k. I recommend not to go for Sony.

Yes. Defy+
Defy has bigger Rom dev community, neo has custom kernels.
Performance wise there is nothing really to split them. ( had a Bayer defy prior to neo)

hello ! I want to buy a new android phone . I am considering X10 and Neo . It is difficult to choose . X10 has a 4' mon , cool looks , yet it only has 320MB ram and a unreal dual touch . otherwise , Neo has larger ram and a real dual touch but 3.7' mon and normal looks . but XDA also does lots of things with X10 (2.3 ROM , BOOTLOADER ), but Neo not .
I don't know how to choose between them .could you help me ?
( I'm from Hong Kong , however my English is so poor , i hope that you can understand what i say and forgive me . Thank you )
I'd get the neo since it's newer and will have an unlocked bootloader. Also the chipset is newer and better. It will receive much further updates why go with an older model if you don't have to? Unless maybe the price diff is substantial. I bought mine a couple months ago, and only because I got it used for 200.

X10 all the way.
SE are releasing official android 2.3.3 this year and the the devs at xda have recently bypassed the bootloader so custom kernals are on the way.
Very exciting times for X10!!!

I am afraid that the devs of X10 at XDA will not keep going to develop X10 ... and ram don't enough to run android ....
Neo definately. Sure the X10 is getting 2.3.3, but thats it. And yes, the X10 bootloader is cracked, not unlocked. The neo is newer and will recieve more attention, plus with an unlocked bootloader, which many devs will do wonders.
I would say the Neo is the right choice but I doubt it will get attention from SE

I'd say go for Neo,
Its newer with many capabilities,
16M color, true Multitouch, Bravia Engine, and 2.3.3 out of the Box !
Just 3.7" does not make any difference !
For sure Neo is at the starting line and from now on there will be custom roms. It will have open boot loader though.

Go for the NEO for sure, the only question would be how much you want to spend. Obviously the xperia will be cheaper and yes you can play and mess with it, upgrade and install new roms, but like stated before me, the neo comes with 2.3 and its a bit quicker (have not used one personally). Also, if it matters to you, sony will have more upgrades than the xperia. Hopes this helps
Neo is the X10 plus. There will be no doubt that there will be developers developing for the Neo, it's just a matter of time. Plus you will have the better chipset, Exmor camera w/front facing cam, HDMI out, Bravia Screen w/16 Million colors and a fully functioning Gingerbread out of the box. Plus, "support" may be better than the X10.
xperia NEO : it has mulitouch,16m colors,sony bravia engine,8mp camera with led flash,secondary vga camera for videocall,android v2.3 and 1ghz snapdragon processor,FM radio too,HDMI output .
xperia x10 : no multitouch , no 16 m colors , no bravia engine,8 mp camera bt no led flash , no secondary camera for videocall , i knw it will upgrade to 2.3.3 bt still running on 2.1 , no FM radio , no hdmi output .
now u can decide .. this is big different between x10 and neo ..
u should buy NEO instead of x10 ... bcs neo is better thn x10 ..
neo is also good looking smartphone
buy an iphone!! naw im just kidding, dont bash me now
Neo is more powerfull, X10 will be outdated soon or is already...
Obviously Neo is the right choice, but I would go for the Arc

I totally agree with NEO, it is have much better specs than x10, and also latest sony technology(BE Mobile + eXmore<- if i got the spelling right.. )..
screen wouldn't gave much difference since they are almost the same resolution(if I'm not mistaken).
Hey Hi!!!! Guyz i am selling my x10 mini probably next month and going to buy a new phone which would be i think Xperia X12 (Xperia Arc)......But i am confused to know that HTC Desire HD is also a good choice.......So i can't able to decide what to take in......
Here are the link of both phones specifications -:
Xperia X12 Or Arc-:

Need community support? choose desire
Need the beautifull phone? chose arc. By the way, it has open bootloader
Go for a dual core phone....I prefer a MOTOROLA ATRIX 4G
Sent from my X10mini using XDA App
Well guyz i visited a shop today and taken alive review of both i recognize sum facts....Well as per the further updates i should choose HTC desire HD...becoz it has 768 MB RAM rather than Arc with 512 MB RAM...And HTC got good support and easy n fast upgradeable's..
As per the Xperia X12 ARC i saw that Arc with bravia Engine screen which make it AWESOME photo-master phone.....And videos are truly like freaking AWESOME......Every thing is good in its case excepts two things
First -: Slow customer service
Second -: Honeycomb would or would'n be in it as update.
Btw Atrix got 1gb of ram

android 2.2 and 2.3 don't support dual core CPU..
If i were u I would buy the Arc..

Hello everyone...I have right now a x10 mini(E10i) with nAa-11 kernel and MiniCM7 2.2.0 installed(thanks to nAa)
So because x10 minis have small internal for apps and also have small processor and ram it can't handle heavy apps and games and this a big disadvantage by my opinion...so i want to buy a new phone...or a tablet for personal and family use as the laptop died...so what do u suggest me??
1)Xperia Neo V
2)Xperia Mini(not x10 mini)
3)Motorola XOOM
4)Something else(either phone or tablet)
I am going to give 350 euro for buying a tablet or 200 euro for buying phone...
I will also keep my x10 mini just for calls, sms and apps and games(not heavy...without a2sd ofcourse..)
Also(sorry for 2nd time) please post only if you choose the 4th option at the poll...Thanks for reading and voting...
I suggest motorola xoom , because motorola xoom have great performance
If phone I suggest neo/neo v

Hey guys. I am an user of HTC Wildfire currently and was planning to spend around 17000 INR on my new phone that I am planning to purchase. So, according to my budget, I thought Sony Ericsson Neo V would be the best option that I found so far. I wanted an advise whether to go for it or there can be better phones that suites my budget ?
Thanks in advance.

Instead of buying a Neo V, i would recommend you to buy Xperia P or Xperia L (not Neo L).

I have a Neo, and i want to tell you that for gaming is not good, it's very laggy. But if you want a phone for multimedia and camera (like i'm using it) you can buy it, it's a good choice, especially because of the micro HDMI port which is awesome.
buy a newer one. it's 2 years old already.
It's old but nonetheless serves my everyday use. Also, it has great devs working on 4.2.2 and now already 4.3 version of android. I'm really thankful to them, they extended my phone life and made my neo V amazing.
I agree that if you're looking for a new phone you may consider other options, since it's "old" as for a phone refers.

I own a Xperia Neo V.
Neo V is a very cool phone from Exteriors & Hardware also but it's a single core & very few internal memory, small screen size & no longer provided with software support. I'd recommend you to get a Galaxy S2 (Very Active Development), Galaxy S Duos, Galaxy Grand or Galaxy Mega, Nexus (4, 7 or 10) device or any other phone...
Bottomline:
Don't buy Sony phone, their software support is worst!!
You can see Sony forums filled with complaints & problems on the internet.
Now the choice is yours...
All the best!!
