viewpad 7 / commtiva n700 flashing power light - Viewsonic ViewPad 7 & Variants

had phone refuse to turn on and trying to charge gives a flashing power light, its the battery.....
if i swap it to another battery, the phone boots, if i connect the other battery to the other phone, then its power light flashes and it wont charge or boot.
guess if they over discharge, it wont attempt to charge them...
if i get time i will try to charge it the old fashioned way, jump leads....

[Q] Problem with my phone (charging)

Hi all!
I have problem, my phone battery is empty. I wan't to charge my phone, but when I'm plug in it is Connect in flash mode. Please help
Not sure exactly what your problem is, apart from flat battery, are you saying it goes into flash recovery mode when you plug in your charger??
If you have a Pro recommend taking battery out for a bit allways worth a try, otherwise the good question is does it do it power on normally with battery as sounds like somthing has damaged or stuck your back button. think it will still slowly charge in flash mode otherwise where you doing any rom kernal change when this happened?
Yes, When I'm just pluging with out pushing back button, it is pluging in flash mode. I tried to remove battery plugin the cable and than get it back, but it still pluging in flash mode
EDIT: No recovery, flash mode (when im flashing kernel or back to stock)
Your battery may have become discharged beyond the safe limit and so refuse to charge, does the LED flash 'red' or 'green' when you plug it in?
If it flashes 'green' then it is attempting to enter flash mode. If it flashed 'red' then you may need a new battery.
You cannot charge a lipoly battery that has been discharged beyond the safe limit as they have a tendancy to explode violently. Most batteries have a chip that disables charging once this has occured.
You can get new batteries quite cheaply, dont fall for the high-capacity 2000mAh lies.. Most are just 950mAh batteries repackaged in gold foil to look more impressive.

[Q] Unresponsive, flashing red power light

So I've just acquired a Commtiva N700. It's been sitting in a desk drawer for several years, and the battery is completely flat.
When I plug it in to charge, the red power light comes on, but it remains completely unresponsive. It doesn't even show up as a USB device if I plug it into a computer. After a while the power light will start flashing irregularly. Even after being left like this for a while, nothing happens.
I've followed the suggestion on one of the other threads of taking the back off, disconnecting the battery, leaving it for a bit, reconnecting and charging. I just get a flashing red light again.
I'm suspecting that the battery is so flat that the charger circuitry is refusing to charge it because it thinks it's broken, thus rendering it a brick.
Before I bin it (not worth replacing the battery on a thing like this!) does anyone know if there's any last-ditch recovery I can try?

Can't recharge phone !

Hy everybody, my huawei g play mini won't charge. When i plug it in to the ac, it turn on with bootlogo and red light led start to pulse, but it does anything. If plug it out from ac, it stay a bit and then turn off. I can't turn on it in bootloader or recovery mode, and even if i leave it to the ac for the whole night it seems to be always discharged . How can i fix this issue ?

how old is it ?
the lgs were known for battery just crapping out and bassicly going into a bootloop
you might try a cheapo battery first
I had a old Samsung stellar do a similar thing I had to jump start the battery with a cut off power cord wired into the batt and the phone once it charged some it would turn on.
if I ever let it drop below 10 % or so it would do it again
It is almost 2 years old. I read about jumping battery, but in my case, phone has an internal battery. I disassembly the phone and pull out the battery but I don't know how jump it

I don't know how, but right now my phone can start again in recovery and bootloader mode. Then dissassembled it, i plug out display from motherboard and plugged in to the ac. After a while it boot up again in fastboot mode and flash twrp recovery and see battery recharger !

Stuck in bootloop after battery drain

I forgot to charge my phone and the battery drained. Now the moment I plug in the charger, no light shows up, but it boots the MI logo and gets stuck in a bootloop over and over again. I tried charging it via PC and but it doesn't do anything, no lights or any indication that it's charging/connected. I can't seem to boot to twrp (that or I forgot the right combinations since it's been a while, vol up + power then volume down after 10 seconds right?). I can boot it to fastboot mode when plugged on an outlet but I can't boot it at all when plugged on PC, even when using a different USB. I tried disconnecting the battery and plugging the charger in, and it still went through the bootloop even without battery. Is this a software problem itself or is it a battery problem?
Can you measure the battery voltage? If it is 0V, or just around 3V, it might just be the battery. If you feel comfortable dealing Li-Po batteries, you may attempt to charge it a bit, just enough for the phone to pick it up. Be sure to know what you are doing to stay safe.
