i got this new htc desire c from uk hutchinson 3 network that need to be unlocked to simfree to work here but im having difficulties opening it can someone plz help me opening it i have no phone right now because of this

i have just purchased a htc g2 (hero) which is sim locked to t-mobile, i'd like to know if there is any way of unlocking to use a vodafone sim card and also how to remove the t mobile branding from the software.ive been told to put a generic rom on it???
