If you're referring to the larger icons. Go into your full list of contacts and you'll see a star at the top right of the screen. Tap the star. It should turn green.

(Q) Facebook notification.

On my beloved Arc I got Facebook notifications on the lockscreen. On my new Xperia S, I don't get that. Any ideas? Getting nice SMS, MMS and email notifications on lockscreen, but no Facebook. ?

Sorry still not used to the auto correction. You can turn the notifications on settings and the tab security. There you can find lockscreen settings with facebook notifications. Hope this was more clear

not working for me either, there's a notification in the notification bar, but not on the lockscreen
To me, it's not working like Arc. Sometimes I have notifications sometimes nothing....
For me it works for fb messages sometimes or not. Not working for other notifications though
Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk
i have the same issue here any luck with the lock screen problem?
I tried everything. I tried timescape, i tried sync everything and settings here and there. I only get private message from facebook in both lock screen and "top-bar".
But not notifications.
I also had a arc before. So it's realy anyoning that it dosn't work.
Nobody got a solution to this? There was a new facebook update a week ago but that didn't fix it. So if anyone got a idea please share it.

[Q] Changing Email Background

I posted this in the international section and thought I would post it here as well. Is it possible to change the background of the email app so that it reads as black on white instead of white on black? I saw you could do this with the messaging app and the GMail app has a white background.
Go into a specific email. Menu key, change text and background

Me neither. Neat feature.
I have to say that I really am enjoying this latest version of Sense. It's a LOT less intrusive than past versions, and doesnt seem to have any major impacts on battery life.
It's like they took out all the crappy nonsense no one liked, allowed android to shine through where its better, and kept only the useful features of Sense. I like it.

For apps with long lists of items like music or messaging, you can scroll through by letter or date by using two fingers at once.
On the call screen before making a call. Press menu and you can open a fullscreen keypad for dialing
I know most probably know this but:
Once you fill up all 5 screens you can attempt to add another app or widget and it will populate a new blank screen for you. Also if you pinch to zoom at one of the home screens, it will give you an option at the top to add a panel (screen).

[ONSCREEN BUTTONS]Recruiting! Small app, need developer, i have everything else ready

Hi, as the capacitive buttons on both Xperia Ion and S is hard to hit, some ppl have installed onscreen buttons, but it bothers me that it will make me screen-view smaller.
I have an idea that can make both these priorities happen!
Minimize-able on screen buttons (as on provided pictures)
Features:
Press Left arrow = Minimized with opener to right(Button4)
Press Right arrow = Minimized and button placed to left(Button5)
Press on the minimized buttons and the onscreen buttons will appear again(Full)
The main idea is to keep this a simple as possible small app so that every 2011+ xperia user can take profit of it!
Any app developer is welcome to join! Just either PM or post
Odp: [ONSCREEN BUTTONS]Recruiting! Small app, need developer, i have everything else

I searched for this too. Using Titanium Backup you can "Freeze" the app labeled "Power" under Backup/Restore. This will get rid of the notification button, but will also remove the "Battery" list in your android settings. I just downloaded a different battery app or widget to replace it.

Download the MoDaCo Toolkitfrom here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2245765
Then select enable button options. If you long press a notification you then receive a prompt to either force close or disable notifications. Thats what I did works great!
