Everybody likes weather & clock widgets, so I was thinking of making a small guide of different weather widgets here on Xperia forum. I hope it will be easier for you now to choose a nice weather widget for your phone.
Enjoy!
You can also post your screenshots of weather widgets here, so people can see and choose which one they like.
Ps. I will add more weather widgets later and pictures of weather main screen, but now I must go to school/college.

Weather Eye is nice minimalistic weather widget and good predictions but it has no clock and it couldn't find my city (only my neighbour city cause it is bigger).
Its free on Play Market (free): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.citc.weather&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5jaXRjLndlYXRoZXIiXQ

I've tried a lot of weather app's and so far i think WeatherPro is the one that has proved most accurate. I dont however like the WeatherPro widgets. As i like the clean minimalistic look of Sonys Androidbuild (is it called build?) i use SiMi Clock Widget.

I am a recent android convert, and wasn't a decent weather app. I am coming from bb and used berryweather. I entry my home location to be found via gps and update at regular intervals. But I also wasn't to have a bunch of cities saved to scroll through.

^^^ 1st of all, welcome to the Android World.
I have beautiful widgets which is pretty cool.
It has a weather widget which shows the weather like the one on HTC Phones.
Just Google it, Yahoo it or Bing it.
I'm quite happy using the GenieWidget.apk pulled from the nexus one, this gives you 3 widget options to add to your homescreen, news, weather, and news with weather combined.
cheers,
=)

Beautiful Widgets coalited with The Weather Channel works great.
another BW fan here!
I like weatherbug elite...it does what you are describing!
Beautiful Widgets for me, great app and very customizable.
Fancy Widgets... all the way mate.. it looks amazing and its free
since you're on ur XDA app ... maybe this link will take you to the Market... market://details?id=com.fancywidget.androidClick here
weatherbug elite is nice, i dot use widgets but when i open the app it shows a lot of info. they have a free version.
Before I switched to this vibrant I had a 9700 bold and I used berryweather. The home screen thing was neat, and there is nothing exactly like it, but Weatherbug Elite does alot more, the radar is much much better, but you can't customize it like Berry weather. I love in Berry weather , it showed an arrow which way the storms were going, that was nice, but android is 1000% better then 'the industry standard" blackberry.... haha
i like stock froyo news/weather app/widgets
In terms of raw info, weather data, and speed of map data, I have found My-Cast to be the very best. It's clearly the best on the iOS platform, but on Android, while presenting almost as much info, isn't nearly as refined - it's simply another animal altogether, but still very good. I love to scroll through the weather maps.

what app/widget is this one? looks clean enough. right now im using the weather channel app
How about "The Weather Channel"
+1 Beautiful widgets! yeah you have to pay. but i think its hands down the prettiest UI.
I use the free WeatherBug app. It now has an animated radar so you can see where the storms are moving. This one and Tide Prediction are my two favorite apps that I use while boating in South Florida.

That's stock Froyo app/widget which comes with news also. It pulls data from weather channel and has by hour forcast too. I think its the best
For a simple 1x4 widget (other formats are available), I'm pretty happy with the uncreatively-named "Weather Forecast Widgets v2" by Francois Deslandes.
I like a simple weather/temp list for the next several days, and it can be easily configured that way. You can select NOAA or Google servers (I find Google to be more accurate, which is kind of lame when you think about it...)
http://www.cyrket.com/p/android/org.koxx.forecast_weather.v2/
Still, I'm going to give Animated Weather a shot, it looks pretty cool...
Weather and toggle widgets on the market. The clocks and weather are customizable and the animations are great. There are so many ways to change it to your aesthetic preference.
Vibrant vibrating nicely now,Kthx!
Is anyone else experiencing this on their phones? When clicking Beautiful Widgets that would normally launch say Alarm & Clocks from hitting the time, or Calender from hitting the date, or the weather from hitting the weather, it doesn't launch - or takes multiple presses to launch? Anywhere else on the screen I touch will respond, just the BW area doesn't. BW recently had an update via Market, so I'm not sure if this bug is new. I've reached out to the developer, but have yet to heard from him, and wanted to see if anyone else was experiencing this too...
I was just curious how many people keep the standard HTC flip clock with weather on their home screen by default ?
I used to like it on my EVO 4G the first couple of months, but then got sick of the HUGE numbers, made me feel like an old man with such a big clock on my screen, and changed to Beautiful widgets clock instead, I run some custom clock skin, and custom weather, to give me that all black and white look. I wish we could make the HTC flip clock smaller, the big one makes me feel like I am blind, and need large granny numbers to see it.
Opinions ?
I like the clock but it takes up too much screen real estate. I'd rather have another row of widget space.

I agree, if it could be shrunk down just a tad smaller, and allow for 1 row of a news widget below it, would be perfect.
I currently run a clear engadget news ticker under my beautiful Widget clock. I transferred this APK, from my EVO 4G, and it works perfectly, just like the stock engadget news ticker, expect with no border, and it's transparent background.
with the clock and current widget size their is more than enough room for a third row of apps, if they just shift them down slightly and take away the app name it would be perfect, leave the name in the app drawer but we all know what the icons do by now it's not like we need to read the name on the any of the home screens

Would be perfect if I could have three rows below the big clock. One for a news ticker running right below the clock, and then two rows for app icons.
I love the clock, I've always left it there on all my HTC phones. I like a clean home page so there's only my Handcent and K-9 mail icons other than the clock. I like the left page also so I leave that intact and then add a couple icons to the right page.
I always use it...kinda why I could never get into non-Sense ROMs.
Really old screenshot from the EVO, but multicon was/is my best friend...unfortunately it doesn't look quite as good on the 3D.

I use fancy widget pro. Clock and weather on one row.
I don't use it. I have a clock on the notification bar and one thing I hate is redundancy. I leave my main homescreen blank so I can look at my wallpaper and each page is themed. One for media like music and youtube widgets, one for messages, one for social etc.

+1 for Fancy Widget Pro, but I use the 4X2 widget with battery % and no background most of the time. Once in a while I use the G-Tab Simi clock for a change.
I used to like it but prefer the simplistic style of Clockr...great app.
Fancy Widget Pro, got it free on Amazon 1 day. Great little app.
Going to flash shostock2 but I like some of the icons I have, especially the neon blue main dock items, the pandora one, the nicer FB and YT icons over stock etc. These are from themes on Go Launcher EX. Is there a way to export/save those certain icons to use anywhere/rom/theme? Searched and can't really find anything, as I know if you long press the icon it gives you an option to import a custom icon.
thanks

You can probably just tear open the theme zip with 7zip and look through it until you find the icons you want.
Also, that's a nice looking clock theme you have there...what is that?

I know took me forever to find a weather/clock widget I liked. It's the 3D Flip Clock & Weather widget, and the 3D Flip Clock & Weather white glass theme pack. Easy to set for multiple areas for weather, and when you click the icon (the cloud in this case) it brings up a forecast. You can change a lot with it too, from the look, to the images used for weather etc. Cool little option to have the battery meter there too and it's accurate.

Weather Station screen with Customisable Looks
Hi all, here's a Zooper weather station screen I've been working on for the last couple of months, I've made it for my Tab S with 2560x1600 screen but it might also work/scale on other tablets. The weather screen is one big widget and is intended for landscape use and looks best with a launcher like Nova or Apex.
This widget works and can be installed alone with Zooper, but in combination with ZW Utilities you will get an extra graph tab and a menu tab to change different settings and colors.
View attachment 3342179
Some of the available info and options
Fully works with C/F (and kph/mph) settings in Zooper.
Date works with AM/PM system settings (time stays in 24H)
Background of current weather changes with current weather type.
Feels like temperature for current weather.
Dewpoint for current weather and six day forecast.
24h barometer prediction (below pressure dial)
Sun and moon rise/set with arc and moon phases.
Current location and coordinates shown on world map.
Two weather forecast graph tabs for dewpoint/low temp/high temp/ and humidity/pressure/windspeed.
Change the weather prediction language, colors of sixteen different elements of the widget and map color.
Keep the weather condition prediction text in English, fitting and the same for the different providers or choose your local language (if provided)
Different screens and appearance examples

View attachment 3342183View attachment 3342184View attachment 3342185
Installation
The widget looks best with a launcher like Nova or Apex on a seperate home screen page without a dock, height/width margins set to none and the notification bar hidden.
The widget is quite easy to set up and only requires two programs:
Zooper Widget Pro
ZW Utilities - XDA
ZW Utilities - Play
If this is a fresh installation of Zooper Widget Pro or ZW Utilities, open the programs one time so they can make their file folders.
Unzip Weather_Station_Mokum020.zip
Copy Weather_Station_Mokum020.zw to /sdcard/ZooperWidget/Tempates/
Copy Weather_Station_Colors.zuw to /sdcard/ZWUtilities/ColorExports/
Open ZW Utilities, in Menu/Import tick: Replace current variables with imported ones, tap: Weather_Stations_Colors.zuw and exit the program.
Create a new Zooper widget (size doesn't matter) tap and hold it untill you can resize it to the whole screen.
Tap the new "empty" widget and load the Weather_Screen_Mokum020 template from the SD Card option (it will take a couple of seconds to load)
Set Widget OnTap Action to Disabled (Locked) and exit the program.
The widget should now be set up, enjoy!
Tips/Issues
When installed together with ZW Utilities, the first time it will show all tabs at once, tapping the tab buttons will switch them off.
Not all weather providers provide all the data shown on the widget exept yr.no.
Some colors can't be changed (arrows, lines, most icons)
The widget should work with automatic location but if it doesn't you can add your location manually in Zooper/Location.
You can close the menu tab while using the color picker stand out window to better see the color changes.
If you use the sliders to change the color, you have to tap (just tap, no movement necessary) the ring color selector.
It is also possible to set the exact hex values for each color in the ZW Utilities app itself.

@Mokum020 Where do you get these Tablet frames to put in screenshots? I would love to use the Tablet Frames for my screenshots. These widgets are sick btw. Thanks!

Thanks! I use a app called Perfect Screen Shot (PSS), it has frames for many devices (Tab 10.5 only in white so I use the 12.2 one) and different effects, you also can set it to transparent background so you can use it in for instance the Photo Editor app to make one presentation of different screens.

This is awesome! Thanks!
