Guys i"ve been having an issue with my wifi cutting in and out or functioning when it wants too. So i decided to call amazon where i bought the phone and see about returning it for a refund so i could get another s3. They agreed as long as i called samsung to see if they could help me with my issue first. Long story short after being transferred between 2 different samsung service centers, the guy that i talked to last said i needed to find out what region it was from. How can i find this out? He even googled it while on the phone with me and said he couldn't find anything. i've been searching somewhat and can't come up with anything. Little help would be appreciated.:good:

CSC nothing to do with WiFi .
You want to know where the phone came from and what firmware region . If you wiped the phone then only the seller may know the source unless a clue is on the box .

Hey guys,
I was just wondering since multi/megaupload are both down would it be possible to re upload one of the Individual CSC Packages from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278 onto a different website that is still accessible. specifically the vodafone australia ones. it would be greatly appreciated as i am still a noob at flashing
Actually instead of the CSC for vodafone australia, could someone just re upload the official vodafone au carrier software that normaly came from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1113928 because i need the whole file and im guessing all that use vodafone in australia will also really appreciate if anyone can help us Btw the latest version would be preferable (DUKJ1) but all are good
Do a search on here for Checkfus.
You can use it to download KJ1 (as this would also normally be available on Kies). I did this myself a couple of weeks ago in case I need to return my phone to stock for whatever reason.
I really need vodafone au stock rom. My phone turns off automatically. Any one can guide me to the specific links.
Many thanks

You got a free thanks due to my fat fingers As per my above post, search on here for Checkfus, download it (small app - couple of hundred kb, takes 30 seconds to DL), then use it to find/download Voda KJ1 stock. Flash this package in the PDA section of Odin (follow the guide here)

Is there a relationship between multiupload URLs and URLs on the various download sites? All the files must be up somewhere, even if megaupload is down.
Hi all. First, thanks to anyone who can offer any help. Second, whenever I use a rom based on CyanogenMod 9, my network shows up as Orange or T-Mobile. I live in the UK and should be on Virgin Mobile. My other roms pick it up ok. I can not manually find Virgin in network settings. Any ideas on how I can correct this. Many thanks to any ideas
I use a Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100
Flashed CyanogenMod 9 using the noob proof method of Odin that is described on the website.
You do not have CSC for your network .Enter network settings manually .
OR
Flash CPW carphone warehouse CSC as that covers Virgin/TMobile .

Thanks

I just entered these settings from the Voda website and I after i click "Save APN" it doesnt show up in my APNs list (which is empty btw)..
Do you have any other recommendations? I dont think it's a bad flash as everything else is working perfectly (i do full wipe before any flash)
EDIT: never mindd! i restarted my phone and now it sees a whole pile of APNs. yay!

Hey XDA,
I come here today seeking wisdom from the gods.
So a while back I rooted and flashed my mums phone:
Info
Samsung Galaxy S 3 - I9300 - UK - Orange
did all the usual CF Root with Odin etc.
now my question is, I recently noticed Samsung released stock 4.1.2 roms which I would like to put on there.
The thing is, I am abit confused as to which rom to go to as her contract is Orange, but 1-2 months the carrier changed to EE.
So which firmware so I go EE based? Orange based? ..?
Thanks for any feedback.

Firstly thanks for speedy reply,
secondly you mean they are ALL compatible in simple terms?
Any rom is compatible as long as it is for the I9300, you could even flash an Israeli rom.

Hey,
Does anyone know where I might find 4.1.1 stock Samsung ROM for my S3? I have tried sammobile.com and samsung-updates.com but both don't have 4.1.1
Thank you.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1704138
possible in the xda stock rom thread
Should be in Q&A section, but there are some in here (inc UK):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1646610
And on sammobile:
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/?model=GT-I9300&pcode=BTU#firmware
They have some Irish ones as well, but all seem to be network branded.

Not possible. I checked there before posting. I am looking for 4.1.1 specifically and any links I have found on the net point to hotfile.com which of course is closed down so I can't find the 4.1.1 version for Ireland anywhere. I am basically trying to get it so that I can use the network unlock commands.
Thanks anyway for trying to help.
