Hey I am having a little trouble getting sweep2wake working. When I swipe across the keys the phone locks up and reboots. I have a pastebin of the last_kmsg. My source is there too. Any ideas on what is causing the reboot will be greatly appreciated..

Hey - I recently downloaded Das BAMF 3.0 RC3 with Imo's leanKernel on Extreme, and everything seemed to be running smoothly (at one point my touch screen did not respond, but a battery pull fixed that, ha). Just recently my app animations (for example, when I go to the app drawer, the apps 'fly' in and then 'fly' away when I close them) is VERY laggy, and they were not before. I did not update or change anything... I am using LauncherPro and WidgetLocker, but always have been. I have been trying to change settings around but no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions or know how to fix this? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
EDIT: And scrolling them the apps is very fast - it is just them flying in and out. Very strange...
EDIT 2: A completely other problem I am having - when I try to reboot, it doesn't reboot, it just shuts off. Is this a serious problem or something small that can fix it, or is this a known issue with the ROM that I will have to deal with until they fix?
Hi, yesterday I upgraded from Paranoidandroid 3.68 to the new project Paranoidandroid 3.99 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397762
But I have an annoying problem - The touch button backlight keeps randomly turning on and switches off only when i click on screen. This only happens when I use it, it seems to be some kind of response or something. I have gone in settings>buttons>backlight and disabled it yet this does not disable the random turning on of it. Anyone know how can I completely disable it without installing custom kernels? Or what is causing it to randomly turn on all the time.
That's due to the touch key backlights. On 4.2.2 (PA 3.68) there was an option to disable them. On 4.3 it was removed by CM so a lot of other ROMs don't have the option either. What I've done on other 4.3 ROMs is to install the device settings apk and use that to turn them off. I haven't tried it on PA though.
I'm on mobile so can't give you a link... Search through my past posts from a couple weeks back. I posted the apk and instructions a couple of times, once in the PACman thread, once in Q&A. I also saw the steps quoted in Q&A by someone else too, you might come across that thread.
Oh wait you could probably even go to my 'most thanked posts'. It might be one of those. See how you go.

Hmm, thanks! But I did that, installed whole custom settings apk and launched the custom settings and turned the backlight off in there too, but it's exactly the same. Also this rom already has backlight button setting in options, so it didn't do anything new as far as i can tell.
The key backlight turns on randomly after like 5-30sec of pressing on screen. It's not like the usual backlight turning on keypress but it turns on after some time instead.
Edit: Backlight keeps turning on even if i have the default 3sec deley. the backlight would turn off after 3 sec and then back on after like 10sec until screen turns off or i press again on screen. Weird, maybe rom bug? I cant post on rom thread because i don't have enough posts
Edit 2: OK I have linked it to screen brightness. Every time screen brightness changes (from adaptive lightning, screen timeout and app/game setting) the key backlight turns on. I have no idea how to force the key backlight to stay off though, so thats why im here
Oh wow. Good job narrowing it down to that, I imagine it wasn't easy to figure out what was causing it. Have you read the rom thread for the last 15 pages or so? See if someone else is having the same issue. Also read the OP and following posts, for known bugs /FAQ. You should have read OP before flashing anyway but read it again
If you don't find anything else, try to get a few extra posts and then post in the thread. You seem to know what you're doing, so try helping out a few other people on Q&A maybe.

The latest(todays) build fixed the issue. Thanks for help!
Okey so I've had this lag when I want to turn on my screen (takes like 3 times sometimes hitting power or home button to wake the phone). I have a pattern lock screen. This has happened on beans21 so I did complete wipe and flashed beans22. Still same thing.
Is very annoying when I need phone immediately. Anyone had this problem? Any one know a fix?

Beans incorporated the zero wake lag mod into rom a few builds back. I'm not on that rom anymore so I can't tell you exactly where to look, but search the thread, or dig through the settings, it's there somewhere.
I edited my Android policy jar file on trans nebula to incorporate this, it's great and doesn't kill my battery. There is zero wake lag thread in the dev section that explains it.

Guys thanks that solved it thanks I just forgot about that

Hello XDA,
I've come across a really annoying issue for me.
I've downloaded android revolution 40.0 and was advised to run boeffla kernel with it as the stock kernel drained the battery too much.
I installed boeffla kernel and it was working fine, all the tweaks worked!
Now there's only 1 issue that needs to be fixed with this kernel/rom. The home button is very unresponsive when the phone is in sleep/standby mode. Things I've tried:
Using different governors
flashing boeffla kernel obviously
changing CPU speeds
Different options within the boeffla app.
Does anyone have any idea why the button reacts so slow as it does? Is it rom related or kernel related?
Any advice on a possible fix would be very welcome.
Don't be shy :silly:

Hey guys I'm currently running Hyperdrive15. I think there is a conflict between the hyperdrive tweaks and wanam that I can't figure out. After doing some tweaks in wanam now my power menu causes my phone to hot boot. I can't find an option for this in wanam to reverse it. I even tried to write the epm script in tasker but when it runs the command it hot boots. It is driving me nuts. Does anyone know what is causing this and how I fix it?
