hello,
i want to buy a gps receiver, but don't know which one is compatible with my XDA? Can you also tell me if there is a serial from a different make i.e. ipaq that would fit in the XDA?
Do they all work well with Tomtom II?
thanks for your help.
Ipaq gps will not work as it is wired differently, any nmea compliant gps will work with xda, I found the Haicom hi-203e to be a good unit and leads for charging xda and powering gps are available for just about any pda you can mention. Tomtom will work with any nmea compliant gps unit. www.globalpositioningsystems.co.uk
im looking for a bleutooth usb dongle for my ba but i no idea what im looking for are there any specs i need to know? does it matter if its v1.1 or 1.2
I was thinking of trying to put a Archos 70IT 250GB HDD in my truck for GPS and to keep my Music Library available at all times.. I am trying to decide what GPS module i want to get.. Now Garmin introduces the Garmin Mechanic for Android and if you buy the ecoRoute Module will give you all the cool little specs on your vehicle.. I have a few questions about these..
1. Since the ecoRoute connects over BlueTooth would this interfere with a BT GPS Module? I know based on the specs of BT it can handle 7 concurrent connections but not sure Archos can handle all f them..
2. Anyone tried to connect to multiple BT items at once?? Headphones and GPS maybe?
tested with BT GPS and for mobi tether as the same time. No problem here

What software do you use with your elm327?? Also how do I know if the device will work with my model of car(s)?

I use Torque with the device. It also recognizes the GPS, which is an iBT-GPS. The elm327 will work with anything with obd II, including CAN bus, with very few exceptions. elm327 is actually a chipset, which is incorporated into lots of different devises. I found this site with a quick search. It's for a usb adapter, but it has a list of compatible vehicles. It should be the same for bt versions. There is a ton of info out there.
Hi-
I have a zt-102, running android 4. As it doesn't come with integrated bluetooth, I would like to buy a BT dongle for it so I can use BT accessories with it.
Any ideas which BT dongles would work with this hardware?

I've got an unused Lumia 650, and my plans were to use it as a navigator on my motorcycle. The display in the sunlight and the GPS are fantastic compared to my (old) Samsung devices.
BUT
the software compartment is very lacking. I've found no good navigator apps, right now the best solution is to use Waze by connecting the Lumia via wifi to my phone for the online data.
I was wondering if there's a way to do the "opposite": making the Lumia "sharing" the GPS via bluetooth (as if it is were an external GPS) to the Android phone.
It may be that i'm not able to search for it, or that there's nothing that makes it possible.
So here i am asking to the experts: is this a doable solution?
As a programmer myself, if there's not a ready app, what should i look to develop it? (provided that it is worthy)?
Suggestions?
Tips?
Thanks
yes, it has
