Walkman doesn't see music files - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hey all,
My walkman app doesn't show all my songs in the Music folder on my sdcard.
But when I check with ES File Explorer they are definitly there.
Any help would be aprecciated.

Delete android folder from your sd card and reboot.
Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk 2

didn't work
Sent from my LT26i using xda app-developers app

there are like 400 songs in there but walkman only displays 260
Sent from my LT26i using xda app-developers app

Go to settings, apps, all
Click on Media Storage
Clear Data
The walkman will rebuild the music list, but it will take at least 30 minutes before any songs will show up again, with many files even longer.

Make sure those songs are playable with the Android framework. MP3, FLAC and Vorbis are all supported, some AAC variations might be supported too.

They are, I played them all before, ot started when i restored a nandroid

I got it fixed, I had to open app then convert to browser. Changed my profile pic in browser mode and saved it. No more FC in app when opening profile!

Ah I see. I used to use xda premium, but I found Tapatalk a lot more efficient, especially since I go on multiple forums. Like the new avatar man.
Thanks. Hey woodrube said to ask you about adding audio to boot. When I was running Gummy it had audio on boot so I would just drop a song in /system/media and rename it boot_audio.mp3 , fix permissions and move stock to another folder. I'm on RemICS 1.3.1 now and that doesn't work. Is there anyway to add audio to boot?

reset to factory settings or flash again a new rom...
I tried many things removed apk and data folder, reinstalled and then FC,then I again uninstalled app through setting app and moved signed Phonesky.apk to /system/app/
I set permissions and rebooted.
Google play now shows most apps and no more FC.
Edit:I used stock firmware.

Use titanium backup.

Picture location

Ok I have another question. I transferred all my pics from my last phone to the DNA and they don't show up in the gallery app. They show up in quickpic though. Any wait to get them to show up there?
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using xda app-developers app
If you're rooted, try using file explorer to move the pictures from wherever they are to the gallery directory. Otherwise, send them to yourself and download them to the phone again.
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using xda app-developers app
Try clearing cache on the gallery, or restart the phone and open it.
Make sure there isn't a .nomedia file in the directory of the pictures.
If all else fails you can move them to the default picture location, and you don't have to be rooted as the guy above me seems to think.
But the default gallery app seems to be really good for me about detecting pics.

Download an app called rescan media from the play store, it'll fix your problem. :good:
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using xda app-developers app
Thanks everyone. Ill try a few of those
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using xda app-developers app
I didn't say he had to be rooted, I just said that it would make the process easier. He can just as easily send himself the pictures from the other app and download them to his gallery. OP, you should try whatever suggestion you think works best.
