Hi guys. I want to install a custom rom on my device. My main preference is good battery life. an ICS styled rom would be good. thanks in advance

Bald Eagle is a nice stock based ROM, I have no complaints about the battery.
Use a modified stock ROM for battery

tried miracle v4 but they have ripped it off of all useful apps such as cam music player n all, and downloading seemed annoying!

Adrenaline rom from imbawind. Then flash the ics theme provided on his thread. But make sure u read all the method for flashing.

I have been using CM9 by the GalaxyICS team since the first beta, but it isn't too much stable for my use and camera is still missing. I would be pleased if you could suggest me a very stable and smooth ROM. Any suggestion?

I use Adrenaline ROM, the XWKT7 edition. I usually change ROM every week or two, but with this ROM I'm so happy that I actually haven't flashed any other ROM after a month of using

I've tried many, but let me ask you what type of rom you're looking?
Fast and high customizable? Miracle v4
FAST and with great battery life? Adrenaline ROM.
I only use stock based because cm7 rom always have poor battery life, so I would advise you Adrenaline Rom.
Revenge sunday is best..
I've try it n it's much more better than cyanogenmod 7.2 nightly cooper..

i would suggest miracle v4..its the best for balanced performace and battery.. speed is uncomparable to other roms and super smooth..but its up to you to decide which suits ur needs.

imo if you dont mind a crappy battery life, laggy camera and no fingerprint you should be fine, if not, none of the 4.0 , 4.1 based roms will work for you , not till the devs figure out the zoom kernel +libs port stuff , i recommend you a good 2.3.6 based rom , imo neutrino is the most solid one, again that's just my humble opinion, but you can try out and see for yourself to compare

use topsmarts GB rom... very good battery life, stable, fast... near perfect!!!!!
I flashed the 10.2 cayngmod and its a bit blurry vs the touchwiz rom
qnd fir me its a deal breaker
I realy like cayngmod. ..this issue exsists for a long tume at least a year ...is there a fix I dont know? (I have searched the forums)

No there isn't, you'll have to live with it or go back to a Samsung rom.
what about dual boot kernel..will it retain the camera quality in the samsung rom while from time to time I ll switch to cm?
