I just got these from Amazon and the charger that it came with is JUNK!
It has sliding pins and no instructions on how to charge the batteries.
I used the samsung battery charger to charge it, when the charger saids its charged, I put in the 1st battery and saw that it was only 89% on the phone. I hope this means that the samsung battery charger will only charge up to 1650mAh and there is extra juice on these Ankers.
I will continue to test it out and will update.
I bought these too. To use the charger, slide the pins to the right so that they line up with the copper contacts labeled + and -. I think when you have the contacts on the top right, it is the right most, and then second from the left. Slide the bottom of the charter down and stick the battery in with the pine touching those 2 contacts.
Now, that being said, the light indicated on my charger stopped working after 2 days, so I just leave them in overnight. Also, you can't charge them in the att phone or you get a boot loop. But the batteries themselves seem to last.

How is these batteries working out for you?
It seems WAY too complicated to use the charger which came with it. Does it matter if the left pin is connected to + or - as I can easily flip the battery around.
I am now charging it with the charger which I got with the GTMax batteries, its slow (Output 4.2V 350mA), but it seems to be charging it to 100% instead of the battery charger from Samsung. (Output: 4.2V 400mA 600mA) (89% for some reason, I have not tried again)
I am getting decent battery life out of it as of now, but have not try it enough for a good review. The product does say that the battery will perform better after 4 charges. Since I have 2 of these, they are lasting around 30 hours each,. its taking me time to cycle through it. Is it reallt 1900mA which should last around 15% better than the OEMs.
I will post my findings when I have tested this enough.
I dont know the rest of you, but I like not charging with the phone charger at all. Its takes seconds to pop in a new battery and I am good for another 20-30hours depeding of the battery. No time off for my phone Also, I dont want to change the backing for extending battery which diminished the thin aspects of this phone. (I just carry a spare and it will for SURE last at least 24 with heavy use; greater than 6 hours of screen time if not more)

30 HOURS!!!! Wow. I am lucky if I get 8 out of these or the stock battery. Are you using bluetooth?

It does matter. The right hand pin (when you are looking at the front of the charger) is +.
When you hold the Anker battery face forwards and upright, you can see the +- markings on the battery. This is the direction to use in the charger. I have not yet bought (or seen) the adapter from Seidio which is supposed to their charger work for this sized battery.
I was originally getting 12 hours until 0% battery left. After I shut down all the background syncs, wirless, gps, bluetooth..etc, and installed juiceDefender, I was able to get to about 20 hours with the OEMs. That means, 20hrs with minimal use and it would be dead/unusable at that point.
Then I follow the rooting and de-bloating the i777 and it gets my phone up to 30 hours until dead with normal use. This is around 3 hours of screen time. It would be great if I can ge to about 40 hours..
After a week of use, these batteries seems to last. I think they are as good as the OEMs or maybe 5-10% better. I have also notice that the weight on these ankers are a bit heavier too. Not sure if that means it contains more juice or not.
I have JUNKed the charger that came with it, as its just not user friendly. I been using the GTMax wall charger and its been fine. It take like 6-8 hours to completely charge. (I have not tried again with the Samsung wall charger as the 1st time only charges it up to 89%)
If you are like me, who don't like to chain the phone to the wall and prefer to swap out batteries, then these are good. I hope it there are a lot of cycles life with them.
I travel a lot and with every swap, I get abother 30 hours of moderate use (3 hours of screen time). Under heavy use, I get about 20 hours (4+ hours on wifi)
Hello Everyone,
So my first day using the Amaze I loved the phone and hated the battery life, with barely using it, bluetooth, wifi and gmail sync all off (no fb) I got about 3% by 5pm. So I am looking for extended battery and dont feel like spending $21 on Anker, specially that all Anker lovers are members since May 2011 or so, kinda fishy, so I looked at alternatives.
I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this battery:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/HTC-Sensati...063195?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item3a6efb415b
It may be the same one Anker uses from the same manufacturer in China, I am guessing though, since they are both 1900mAH. For my G2 I got an extended battery from Hong Kong for $4 or $5 and it was excellent except that the door wore out, so I have no worries buying chinese/hk products on eBay.
Thanks!
I'm using an Anker battery and its amazing. That battery looks very generic. I wouldn't trust it.

I'm curious. Does your Anker battery drop from 100% to 94% in a matter of 10 to 15 minutes even without using the phone? I've finally had a chance to better compare stock and Anker batteries and I am getting better life out of stock; but it seems to be in the first 8% that makes the difference. The stock battery remains at 100% after a full charge for a good length of time, then slowly drops thru the 90's even while in use. The Anker battery literally drop 8% in minutes even without use, then slows to a "normal" rate after that. Could my battery just be defective in some manner?

Mine does that as well. I bought it from eBay and told the seller. They sent me a new one and it happens. Mine goes from 100% to 92%. Then when I have about 20%, my phone will beep and say it has 14%. The battery is very strong at 14% but when it drops to 13%, then I have to charge it. But the battery gets me ALOT longer battery life than stock.
Anker Battery and Charger
I have been using the Anker battery on my Amaze. The battery charges in like 2-2 1/2 hours. The charge holds for up to 6-7 hours. I read review on Amazon that these batteries hold charge when you charge them with Anker charger and not while its inserted in your phone. I ordered the Anker Battery charger and have been charging the battery ever since. You will be amazed how long the battery lasts. I am a heavy user and the battery lasts for 8-9 hours now. And when I disable the background data during night, I don't have to charge the battery till next day.
Here is the link for the charger. You can also charge the OEM Battery with this charger.
http://www.amazon.com/Anker-Multi-P...CV7O/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1328071542&sr=8-2
So based on all the positive feedback I didnt get the 2x battery + charger from the Chinese seller. Instead I opted for Los Angeles based Anker battery and paid sales tax and got the battery and charger in 2 days for about $21, almost triple the cost of the other one from ebay from my first post in this thread, which actually came with 2 batteries.
So I performed a scientific experiment today took notes and times and made sure things are going smooth. Fully charged the stock and Anker to 100%. Turned on all GPS, WiFi, Data Sync, Bluetooth, Screen Brightness to get the battery to die as fast as possible. Turned on Netflix and started watching Frazier on both batteries until they both died.
Here are the results:
Anker = 183 minutes to auto-shut off had 2:30 minutes of phone call in the middle, not counted in the 183 minutes.)
Stock Battery = 189 minutes to auto-shut-off (had 8 minutes of idle time in between two episodes of the show, not counted in the 189 minutes). The stock battery is about 2 months old, abused and recharged repeatedly in the car, charged when 50% full, disconnected and reconnected over and over in the car etc.
Both phones were in the exact same spot and connected to external speakers. Both experiments were started immediately after the phone was disconnected from the charger. Both were done on the same phone. So based on my experiment, I feel I simply got a second battery for $21 with a mediocre charger. Definitely NOT an extended battery. The Anker is definitely NOT an extended battery I would say its 1800mAh. (look up on eBay there are many 2800mAh batteries with "effective capacity" of 1800mAh). Just as I thought its simply a rebadged cheap $3 battery with white label and a made up brand name and I was duped, should've bought a $3.49 free shipping battery on eBay. Also the battery is about a hair taller than the stock battery so you have to kinda force it in the Amaze as it says right on top Sensation although it was sold as Amaze 4G battery, I don't care though.
On the positive side, the CHARGER can connect to your existing charger, pretty cool concept, although it may sound useless but its really useful in the car where I don't have 110v but I have a car charger that I can plug into this charger and use a second cable to connect the phone to this charger, this way I can charge both batteries while driving, one on the charger the second inside the phone connected to the Anker charger then connected to the car charger.
I should've bought this 2200mAh battery, probably better than the Anker.
I bought the Anker 1900 from amazon about a month ago. Like someone mentioned, if you charge the battery in charger, you will get better discharge rates.
Keep in mind this is done after I have done a five full charge/discharge cycles on the batteries.
Moderate & High use
Using daily roads manager (GPS, Camera 720p Video Recording) 40min|120min per charging cycle
Bluetooth,Wifi, and GPS always ON
Screen Brightness at 2% or 100%. on 2% 2/3 of the screen on time.
Accounts Sync set to Hourly
Text/MMS (<200|>200)
Youtube (30min|80min)
Moderate use Includes 8-10hrs on standby while I slept
Stock Battery
Charged to 100% on the phone
-Holds 100% charge for more than an hour on standby
-Drops to 92% after 20min drive to work
-Record uptime 20hrs with moderate use
-Record uptime 10hrs with heavy use
Anker 1900
Charged to 96% on charger, topped off to 100% on the Phone
-Holds 100% after disconnecting for about 10mins on standby then starts dropping fast.
-Drops to 92% after 20min drive to work
-Record uptime 23hrs with moderate use
-Record uptime 11hrs with heavy use
Charged on the Phone fully to 100%
-Drops to 95% before even getting to my car within 10 mins on standby
-Drops to 82% after 20 min drive to work
-Record uptime 8hrs with moderate use
-Record uptime 4hrs with heavy use
While I haven't performed qualitative experiments as several of you have, I can honestly say that after using the Anker battery long enough for it to go through numerous "cycles", it definitely lasts longer than stock. It still drops very quickly from 100% down to mid-90s within a few minutes even without using the device, but it used to drop to low 90s in that same period of time. Anyway, regardless of the odd characteristics, it seems to be a very good battery.
BTW, if you pay anywhere close to $21 for just the battery, you're getting ripped of by that retailer. You can easily find it online for $15, and you can often find 2 batteries with the charger for $30. (Actually, Amazon has 1 battery & the charger for $19 right now, see http://www.amazon.com/Anker-1900mAh...LR66/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1328364737&sr=8-1.) I wasn't that patient so I got one battery and the charger for $28 back in early January, but I honestly wouldn't bother with the charger if I had to do it over again. But that's just me, others have reported it as being great benefit so it probably depends on your situation.

I did get the $18.99 with charger and yes I was ripped off and paid close to $21 because my wonderful state of CA charges me an arm and a leg for sales tax. Also there is only one seller for Anker on both eBay and Amazon thats laptopmate, same price both on eBay and Amazon except that on Amazon is free supersaver shipping meaning you have to spend $25 to get free shipping but on eBay you don't. Laptopmate ships from a house neat los Angeles which maybe someone who bought a lot and imported from China and now selling them on eBay and Amazon for good profit because I don't see it being any better than the $3.49 and $6.02 batteries I posted above. When I got an extended battery for my old G2 it lasted me over twice as long but made the phone larger.
Seems charging this battery I'm the charger that came with it will give you the best discharge rates. Below is light use, with Wifi,BT, and gps on the whole time. Used it only for dash cam for about 2 hours off and on.
When I tried charging the battery on the phone only, I'd be lucky if I can hit 10 hours.

I bought this battery for my HTC Amaze 4G (I love this phone!!!) and on my first full discharge cycle, the charge dropped from 100% to 95% in 3 minutes. It seemed to skip 99% through 96%. It then continued to discharge rapidly until around the mid 70's when it kind of starts to slow down.
By the 50% mark, it seems to discharge at a normal rate. During this cycle, I had my Bluetooth on for the 1 hour drive to and from work +1 drive into work on the day it ran out completely. Talk time was around 15 mins in mixed Bluetooth, handset, and speaker phone. About 3 hours of surfing, facebook, gtalk, Globe and Mail news app, and watched a couple of Youtube videos. I sent and received email and calendar notifications (sound+vibrate) almost every 30 mins. I turned off Wifi if I wasn't near any hotspot. I used Bluetooth tethering for about 45 mins. It was in airplane mode between 2 am and 6 am.
By the 20% mark, the discharge rate was very slow. It took another 3 hours before it reached 4% when the phone automatically powered off. Before it did that, I was able to take a picture of it with my webcam (attached) where it shows it has been on for 28 hours.
I am getting the same from my stock battery, and am happy with it anyway, so honestly, I cannot tell if this is really a 1900Mah battery inside. I will keep using it for a week. If it does not improve, I will switch back to my stock battery because that seems to discharge at a more constant rate.

Well I have an Anker but I didn't get it for $7.99. That's a great deal. I have 2 of them and they host last a fair amount of time.
I just ordered this external battery you might like something like this, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008Y4VTJU/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00
My shopping research pointed me out that this would be best for me because:
1. Pocket size battery perfect for on the go to.... anywhere!
2. Charge it in the wall with your htc charger instead of camping by an outlet with your phone if you need to be on it.
3. 5600mAh battery (should charge the amaze about 3 times)
4. Higher voltage (in amps) for faster charging than many other external batteries... I recently bought another external battery off ebay that doesnt even output enought power to charge my phone on standby becareful about this!
There were many others on amazon by anker and powergen, that are I guess name brand?? who have 100-300+ count of customer reviews if thats what you are looking for, I decided to try this brand because it was the best price for the value... Ill let you know how it is when I get it in the mail if you'd like
If you choose to go with this brand check the dimensions they have different width x length x heights for the same size mAh battery (this is the slimmest but longest one of the 5600 mAh) and check the picture for a micro usb port some of their descriptions will say they do but then have a MINI usb port!!

Anker is a trusted brand as is Mungen. I don't know about any of the others. I'd be suspicious of any battery that was that cheap and suspect it to be a fake. High-quality batteries will usually cost 15-20 at least.
5600 mAH is the charge it holds but the efficiency will always make the effective charging power less. Depending on the native voltage/amps of the device, you will lose anywhere from 20-40% off the maximum rating from things like heat.
Higher voltage in amps will also shorten your battery's lifespan. Not by much but that's the tradeoff you get for the convenience.
I just have 2 anker batteries I switch out constantly on my amaze. If I'm stuck somewhere, my Amaze will be heavily used and it only lasts about 4 hours under heavy use with my Anker. It's good to have another one and another battery is less bulky than most chargers.

Just got my ezo battery today it works great, solo charging is almost as fast as the wall charge and I can charge 2 devices at once.
I'm using an "EC" brand 1900mAH battery that I bought for 7.99 in July of this year right after I got my AMAZE4G. I bought it on Amazon.com, and yesmin my experience it does last longer than the OEM battery. I have no idea how much longer it will last, but so far, so good.
I bought an Anker 2200mAh battery 6 months ago, and found that it lasted longer than the standard battery. After only 6 months however I'm finding that it's running down much more quickly - it will lose 6% charge per hour when the phone is left completely idle.
I've just bought a new Samsung battery and it only loses 2% per hour, so clearly the Anker has degraded quite badly after only 6 months.
Does anyone else have experience of the Anker high capacity batteries? Is this normal?
check the accessories section
It's faulty, anker will replace it if you contact then.
People are in search of an extended battery which fits the original case.
While I know that most of these batteries are scams, I am in search of a brand who can deliver a bit more power to our beloved note 3.

Today I tried the MPJ 4500 mAh battery with NFC (it works).
I used a free app from the play store to fast discharge all the batteries.
The MBuyNow was tested twice, the first test has been done on the first discharge of this battery, it came with 60% and it charged itself from 58% to 100% in 1h and 13m with the stock charger. The second test was done after 10 cycles of charge/discharge.
The stock battery was tested once in order to have some comparables.
The MPJ battery has been tested one time, after 17/20 cycles of charge/discharge.
So, let me describe the four tests:
Common factors:
- Both batteries were charged to 100%, then I rebooted the phone, unplugged and plugged again and waited the confirmation that the battery was really 100% charged;
- Fast Discharge has these settings: "High CPU load; Camera Light; High brightness display; GPS receivers; Operated Vibrator; Network Connection."
- As soon as I unplugged I started the "Fast Discharge" app with everything flagged on but "operated vibrator".
- I never moved or used the phone; I forced h+ network only (wcdma); accounts syncs were off.
- Phone has been in the same spot for all the tests to make sure that network and wifi signal was as costant as possible.
1) Mbuynow battery: - I received 13 whatsapp messages, 21 instagram notifications and 20 messages on facebook;
- Battery drained from 100% to 5% in 2h 2m and 9s.
2) Stock battery
- I received 14 whatsapp messages, 11 instagram notifications and 25 messages on facebook and 1 gameloft notification;
- Battery drained from 100% to 5% in 2h 17m and 53s.
Ok here comes the second and last test of the MBuyNow battery.
3) Mbuynow battery 2° test after 10 charge/discharge cycles:
- I received 29 whatsapp messages, 60 instagram notifications and 41 messages on facebook;
- Battery drained from 100% to 5% in 2h 11m and 42s.
Today I tested the MPJ battery.
I just finished the test with the MPJ battery, so let me explain what I did.
I turned air conditioning on in order to reach aprox. 20°, which was the temperature back in January when I tested the previous batteries.
Moreover I followed all the rules I used in my previous tests: same app to fast discharge, same conditions, same networks, same place ecc..
The only thing that has changed is that I am on X-Note rom, but on stock kernel.
Before writing the results, I have to say that the battery discharged to 5%, than I removed it from the phone in order to weight it. When I powered the phone on, the battery indicator showed a 15% battery remaining. I decided to run the test to discharge the battery from 15% to 5% once again. This behaviour happened another time and the battery was at 8% so I ran the test again. This means that I have 3 results, 2 partials and 1 total.
4) MPJ battery after 17/20 charge/discharge cycles:
- I received 19 whatsapp messages, 2 gmail Notifications and 18 messages on facebook;
- Battery drained from 100% to 5% in 2h 11m and 52s.
- Battery drained from 15% to 5% in 11m and 13s.
- Battery drained from 8% to 5% in 3m and 13s.
If you consider the total time, the battery lasted 2h 26m and 18s. If you want to consider only the first discharge the battery lasted 2h 11m and 52s. If we do a simple calculus, we can say that if 95% of the battery lasts 131 minutes, then 10% of the battery should last aprox. 13 min, which is not far from the 11m duration that the battery had in the second discharge.
After the test I weighted the three batteries and all weigh aprox. 50gr with 2gr of deviation.
When 100% fully charged the stock battery weights aprox 61 gr while the MBuyNow aprox 58 gr with 2gr of deviation. The MPJ weights 62 gr.
This is the link of the store I bought the MBuyNow from: http://www.ebay.it/itm/291005429861?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

This is MPJ official site: http://www.mpjbattery.com/mpj-4500m...sung-galaxy-note-iii-3-n7200-n9000-n9005.html
Below you will find some pictures and screeshots, I think I mistakenly deleted the screenshot of the first mbuynow test and of the 3rd discharge of the MPJ, but I was smart enough to write everything down on paper!
In conclusion, this kind of test is not really precise in terms of mAh but I think that it can give us a way to compare these batteries with each other. The MPJ battery does not clearly have 1300 (40%) mAh more than the stock battery, but 8/15% seems to be a reasonable amount. The MBuyNow 3900 mAh battery can be considered a good - cheap - replacement for our note 3, but it clearly doesn't add any extra mAh or hour of usage.
Any other battery you want me to test?

Hey guys, I have done more than 5 cycles of full charge/discharge.
To make the next test as clean as possible I also made a fullwipe and waited 5 cycles to accomodate android to the "bigger" battery.
Later today I will run again the test, but after a week I can already tell you that the battery has not perfomed better.
It's probably around 2900 mAh, which is not different from the 3200 stock battery, but really far away from the 3900 mAh they advise for.
Anywaymy opinions might be placebo, so I am defo going to run the test later to give a last chance to this MBuyNow battery.
Keep us updated

I remember when I had the Note 2, I bought a replacement battery that supposedly had a higher mAh than the stock one. When I peeled back the battery's sticker it was the exact same mAh as Samsung's battery so it actually didnt hold any more power. I'm wondering if it's the same situation in this case. Actual battery being the same, but just the label claiming to be higher mAH

People dont bother with MPJ, duds too! I brought one for S2 and only got like 75% what they claimed
I just sent MPJ an email asking for a battery sample in order to test it out.

I decided to make the jump and ordered the MPJ one. I will update this thread with the tests as soon as I do 5 charge/discharge cycles
I received the battery 5 days ago and I am on my 3rd cycle. I will make the test on friday or on saturday, as soon as I reach 5 full charge/discharge cycles.
My first impression about this MPJ is that it isn't 4500 mAh, but it's lasting a bit more than the stock one. I don't know if it's a placebo effect and only the real stress test will say the truth. But I have to be honest: when I tried the MBuyNow battery I wasn't experiencing any better result, while now I feel that my phone is lasting a bit more.
Check this topic on friday / saturday for an update, we might have a surprise and a winner!
For three years I've used MPJ as my default battery (N1 and N3) and I've always found them to give me, say, 10 to 20% more than stock. After all this time, I don't think it's placebo. I notice the difference even when I forget which battery I have in.

Hello everybody!
Sorry for the delay but I had pretty busy days in the last two weeks.
- I received 19 whatsapp messages, 2 gmail Notifications and 18 messages on facebook;
In conclusion, this kind of test is not really precise in terms of mAh but I think that it can give us a way to compare these batteries with each other. The MPJ battery does not clearly have 1300 (40%) mAh more than the stock battery, but 8/15% seems to be a reasonable amount.

The test is conducted with the screen powered on. The results in terms of time that you see are exactly the time that the screen as been on. From the first post you can see that the MBuyNow reached 2h and 11m, the stock battery 2h and 17m and the MPJ 2 h and 26m.
This is my MPJ usage :
Currently using with amazing Echoe ROM.
Edit: just my print at this moment.
This is a good battery at least for me.
I had been using it for 5 months.

Super thanks, this comparison helps a lot.
Since you asked which other batteries people would like you to test, I'd definitely like to see how the mugen battery performs. Any chance of you reviewing that one?
So I bought the hyperion 6000 mah extended battery and received it 6 days ago. I've now completed the 4-5 recommended discharge and charge cycles and the results have been great. The stock battery did ok but by 3:00 every day I had to throw it on the charger for an hour+ to get through till bedtime. So my goal with the 6000 was to be able to use my phone all day however I wanted streaming radio, music, texts, email, video without having to worry about charging. I don't mind charging at night, just tired of plugging in during the day and when I have meetings I can't be plugged in. The hyperion 6000 mah extended battery gets me through to bedtime with around 30% every day without any charging. I'm very happy. I'm getting around 4.5 hours screen on time when I hit 50% left. So in theory I should get close to 9 hours screen on time if I had to go all the way down.
While the 9000 mah zero lemon would be cool, the hyperion 6000 mah meets my needs more than adequately without the bulk of the 9000. It's about 1/3 thicker over the bottom 2/3 of the phone and it weighs about the same as my note 2 did, and I actually like the extra weight.
Just thought somebody might be looking at them, or thinking about it. Here are the links below, I got the battery, back cover & tpu case. The cover fits excellent, as good as the stock back.

I gotta say, after using this battery for a while, it's exactly what I was looking for. I consistently get about 7-8 hours of screen on time and it lasts me the entire day. Definitely worth it

That's my experience too. I can abuse this thing all day long (10-11 hours, no wifi) and still plug in at bedtime with 40% left.
