Help! i just successively upgraded my s2 via kies to ICS 4.0.3
after two days, suddenly i cant connect to my wifi or any wifi any more. it just detects, and when i choose connect nothing happens. can anyone help me regarding this matter. i googled everywhere and cant see a problem that's similar to mine. Thank you.
Did you do a factory reset after update? If not, might have to do it.
What's your Rom details?
Swyped from my Samsung Galaxy SII
Factory reset sounds a bit drastic. Try wiping dalvik cache first.
If that doesn't fix it, you might do a factory reset.

3 days ago, my galaxy tab 10.1 stopped being recognized by my laptop.
This is after 3 months with no issue.
My tab is stock with Touchwhiz and that is it. My version is a 32 gig wi-fi NA tab.
It just suddenly stopped being recognized by my PC.
I tried that turning off USB debugging in the development tools but that didn't help either.
I am about to smash my tab but before I do that, anyone else have this problem and find a way to fix it?
Cheers.
hi.. does it give an error in your computer? mine faced the same issue and wouldn even charge.. it randomly now works.. am planning to get the cable changed..
No error or anything. It charges fine but won't be recognized by PC or USB in car either.
Bump and a question:
Anyone find a reliable 3rd party usb cable for the galaxy tab?
Clear cache and davlik cache, try again.
If that doesnt work datawipe/factory reset, then try again with stock. If that works, flash whatever you had on it then try again. If it fails after flashing, you know what that means.
If that doesnt work, its a hardware problem. You need a replacement.
Where do I find the cache and dalvik cache?
I have the touchwhiz version of honeycomb and going through the menu I see no such options.

Same here, I'm using the Stock ROM and my wifi keeps reconnecting it self even the signal is strong, and I still try to look for the solution. Please let us know if you work out the best solution to fix this problem.
I was having this problem, a firmware update for me did fix it though, but I couldn't connect to my home network for more then a couple of minutes and wifi fixers wouldnt do anything. But any other network was fine.
My home network is hidden so I think that was the problem, the phone not liking hidden networks.
Is yours hidden or not? Else I'd say try a factory reset if you havn't already.

Ok i think that i found solution. Hier's the thing:
First install original first firmware i mean on ice cream sandwich via Odin. After that do wipe and reset allsou clear cache.
Thats the 1st step.
Second go to sammobile and dowoad the latest version of jellybean. (Allsou via Odin).
XXDLI4 ( i cant post a links because i dont have 10more posts.
After installation do wipe / factory reset + clear cache.
Do not install jelly bean on jelly bean .( i dont know why but you must do like i said )
1st: ice cream sandwich + wipe factory + clear cache
2nd: jelly bean + wipe factory + clear cache
fix!!

Edit!!!
This is even better, delete all your saved connection in wifi settings..forget yours to.
Than connect again.
This is the original text from thread that i found:
"Mine never pops up. (Anymore) It did for one day after I used Wi-Fi once and the connection was saved to my Wi-Fi list. Then when I had Wi-Fi turned off & wasn't using it, that pop up would appear. Once I went in and deleted the saved connection, I haven't had that popup return. My wife did the same with the same results. "
This worked for me, plz answer if u fixed this prob.
Hi guys,
i really need help with my galaxy player 4.0. I have no idea what is wrong with it but mostly all of the apps are closing unexpectidly. I tried:crying: to do everything; facory reset and tried to clear data of everything but nothing works. After the factory reset it said factory reset complete but when turned it back on, its back to the same issues. I tried reseting it s many times but nothing is working. Also if i delete these stuff from my computer and unconect it, nothing changes and when i connect it again, everything comes back magically.
it will be great help if wnyone can give me a solutuon. Please

Hello, my friend has a wierd problem... His S2 shuts off whenever he's trying to connect to his own Wi-Fi... I don't really know if there's a fix for this, or if it's because of his Wi-Fi I'm thinking of rooting it and putting a new soft on it. But not before I know a definitive answer
try clearing cache in recovery. if not, a factory reset should fix it.
Hi,
I have an official firmware 4.3 Galaxy S3 UK Variant with no modifications. For about the past week the phone has decided to drop the connection to my Wi-Fi network if I got more than 3 steps away from the router. My router doesn't seem to be the problem since I have no such problems with any other devices like my laptop and the Galaxy Tab. Seems a strange problem since I have no idea why it has surfaced.
Any help will be helpful.
Reset router, factory reset phone, reflash latest firmware in that order.
After that it's hardware.

Thanks for the reply. Done a factory reset which may or may not have fixed the problem, will have to run with it for a while to see the effect. Did have a look around this forum and others for a solution but couldn't find anything apart from disabling wi-fi power save.
