Wow this device is AMAZING!!! It's really fast and I'm getting about 13mbs here in Connecticut. Anyone worried about getting it really shouldn't be. But I noticed my homescreen gets blurry when I go from page to page and its pretty annoying to my eyes. Other than that I'm so excited to start flashing roms on this bad boy!!!

Yeah i just got my about 30 minutes ago and i love it, so much better than my sensation aha
The only thing I was pretty irritated by when I first got the phone was really just the screen. It blurs when there's motion and if you look closely enough, you can see the pixels. Other than that, I love this phone

I just came from a g2, I just gave it to my mom lol, I loved xboarders roms for that phone. He's mainly the reason why I got the amaze!

Umm.. I don't think so.
I hate that app anyway. It's fine for people to catch up on the forum while their are waiting for court or at the dmv or whatever... but so many people use that app to do the majority of their xda reading and end up missing like 90% of the content. Then they say "I did read and search but didn't see it" and end up posting in the wrong section. Seriously! Over half of the new posts that I end up deleting all say "Sent from my HTC Amaze 4G" or whatever.
I do it from time to time too but the majority of my posts are from a computer.
However I understand it because the convenience of it. I really do.
That's why I try to come up with ways for people to do things without the use of a computer. Such as the flash_image binary that can flash the kernel without using EKF. Android devices have been using that binary file for years now and I've been trying to push it ever since the Amaze came out. It wasn't until just recently that xboarder decided to put it in his roms.
Point is, if people want to be completely without a pc then why use a pc to flash kernels? Or if they do have access to a pc to flash kernels, why use the XDA app to post their questions? I don't get it.
Yeah really good point binary, going to try to root n flash a Rom soon, I'm about to turn on my pc for the first time in about two months lol

I just like to stay on one page. I don't like Youtube anyway. Too much junk on there plus I don't like ads. I don't get ads here on XDA (perks of being a mod.)

Hey guys, I'm trying to root my new EVO 3d with revolutionary but it doesn't support 1.50.0 only 1.40.0. Is there a new way or can someone point me in the right direction please. Maybe there's a way other than revolutionary? Thanks, I'm still learning here ......

okay so read the hboot 1.5 thread which is made already but only way for now is you need to unlock your phone through htc then thats it the thread will tell you the rest. btw dont forget to thank me for being the nice one to post you this.

I remember last year in the 3D forums some annoying girl kept posting all over the place, including the root collaboration thread. She got flamed big time cause she was giving some bs pointers on how to root the 3D.
She created a new thread, a place for thanks, and went crazy on all the smileys. Anyone remember her? Definitely will be a cat lady later in life lol

Not to hijack this thread but I remember!!!! The user name escapes me, but I remember her posting all that crap, along with spamming the IRC channel.
Right up there with a user with a name that escapes me at the moment, that claimed to get s-off on the 3D and swore up and down that a very dangerous method worked, and other users tired it and ended up with bricked phones. I did look back and it seems any reference has been deleted, but I do remember him earning his own "meme", but it was one of shame and disapproval.
Back on topic.. I would like to say thanks as well to all the devs hard at work on the LTE, and a future thanks to those that will soon join us! Without them we wouldn't know you can flash to boot, or do splash screens, or update radios via HTC's unlock method when s-off was the only way to do that in the past! Exciting times ahead!!!

I personally don't agree with giving a "thanks" just for the hell of it.
To me getting a thank means I helped out in some way or another.
This would also be the reason I give a "thanks".
Why just give someone thanks for no reason unless they've somehow contributed. No?
The more thanks you have the more credibility you have.
It's a badge that you can wear proudly.

I'm Mike from Tampa, Florida and just wanted to put it out there that I've been a member for a while now yet don't post a lot. I've done a lot of rooting and what not on my old first gen EVO and eager to learn more now owning the EVO LTE. Just figured I'd introduce myself. Hopefully one day I can put out a custom rom like the devs have on here. Btw, I thank you all devs for your hard work and all that you put out. You have made my HTC experience even better than when they came out of the boxes!

Thanks, will definately keep that in mind. Although I am pretty smart with troubleshooting and all, but I'm sure ill have issues where I need help. I had the LTE rooted the same day and twrp and meanrom up and running too... Just unrooted and relocked to switch for a white one tomorrow =))
