wipe cache trough recovery (if you have one installed on your phone)
and delete this folder using root explorer: /data/local/download/
(found the answer using the following keywords in the search tool : "market data download" ) here on 7th july post (ok maybe hard to find yourself, i knew the answer was in this specific thred )
Thanks but still is not working :S
http://media.xda-developers.com/images/smilies/confused.gif did you wipe dalvik cache too? under advanced in recoverymode? when you reboot your phone you should open the market and keep it open for 2 min (did work for me). also try to deregister and register gtalk. hope this helps
where is the option for the deregister ?
go to the market -> help articles -> android apps -> Troubleshooting -> Troubleshooting download issues. Do what is written There. So wipe dalvik cache didn`t help? '
NOPE, how can i exit the account in the market?
Ok. go to System Settings -> Accounts and Sync: select Google account - click "remove account "
after you open The Market and you should see The "Create a Google Account Dialog"
i think i know the problem, someone said in this forum "if you delete one of the apps to go with google talk (either provider or service) market will be stuck at starting download."
and i think i deleted one of the apps.. so how can i restore it?
That is right do you now which one you deletet? I have a backup of all system apps, and if you can wait till the evening, around 6 i upload it for you to the dropbox.

ill wait till u will upload
I think you need them anyway
I create a zip with all google apps. here is the link to my dropbox:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/46218116/google apps.zip
i need to install 1 by 1 ?
re:i need to install 1 by 1 ?
if you have a rooted phone and recovery on it you can rename it to update zip go to x or cwm recovery -> install update zip ... done if not install them one by one
i installed and im trying to download and appearing this message:
" Sorry!
com.google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectedly.
Please try again."
did you reboot your phone? if it still not work make a backup of your apps and flash your rom again. I think this will be the best. we try anything
I like what Bojler wrote aboute the "Market Thing" :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=19176314

I just finished flashing the new CM7 - Latest Nightly ROM on my Evo 4G... Everything went fine except for the fact that i can't find a way to download the Google Play Store app. Can someone let me know how to download it? I've tried looking for it on my phone, and no help. I tried downloading an app straight from the website. It said that it will download on the status bar, but nothing showed up.. Or if there is another app on this ROM that i can use to download app, someone please help me, thanks!

4: select the Google app's zip file

Resurrection Remix ics v2.3 - Google Maps Issue
Hi,
I have been following the posts on the Resurrection Remix ics v2.3 main development thread and the suggested steps don't quite work for me.
1. Using Root Explorer.
-Copy Maps and StreetView from System/App to Data/App
-Reboot device
-Access Play Store and attempt update which will fail
-Perform uninstall and reboot
-Install both apps from Play Store
*This did not work. Error: Incompatible...*
2. Using Titanium Backup
-Uninstall Maps and StreetView from System/App
-Reboot device
-Access Play Store and install both apps
*Same error msg*
I tried to Wipe Delvik Cache and Fix Permissions when attempting a second round of the above but did not resolve the issue. In all attempts, I did the FAQ Guide on Installing the ROM.
It seems these steps works for others but unfortunately not me. Hopefully someone could advise me further and any other information needed.
Thank you!

2) if ur on dpi other than stock 240 then try cahnging the dpi first to stock 240 then update market if it goes fine then rewert back to ur earlier dpi
Hi Sun90,
I did the steps you suggested and sadly it does not work but on a good note, a new version has been released and a fix is indicated.
I'll try that update and will check it out. Thank you for the assist.

I have just installed Android Revolution HD 14.0 but I cannot download any apps from Google Play.
The status bar just stays at "downloading". I have cleared data and cache. My google play is version 3.9.16. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any suggestions of a fix would be very much appreciated.

There are some further steps that should resolve the issue you are seeing, as market is also tied into some of the other Google applications:
After step 6 above do the following:
1. Also find applications 'Google Services Framework' and 'Google Play Services'.
2. Force close and clear data for both of these applications.
3. Go into your Google account and disable all the sync options so nothing is ticked.
4. Reboot your device now, do not run any of the applications.
5. Re-enable all your sync options under your google account
6. Re-Boot again, now you can go and try the Play store.
This should resolve both issues mentioned in this thread. It has happened to me on numerous occasion and this has resolved.
Worth a not if you have any of the other play store, Books, Movies, Magazines then it's worth deleting or completing above steps for these too.
Hope this helps.

Same as here.
I'm not able to receive video call on Whatsapp. So, I uninstall it from my device, and when I try to install it, it stuck at downloading. I cleaned the cache and data of play store but still, it is not downloading the app but every time shows that it is downloading the app, but in reality, it does not. Can you please suggest some more ways to fix this problem.

3 things to try.
1, reinstall play store app and services via apk from Apkmirror.com.
2, delete and reinstall your Google profile.
3, wait until later as it is most likely an issue with Google servers.
I have another problem with Google Apps.
After flashing any nougat based custom ROM, and then after installing OpenGapps arm 7.1 my phone stuck with a problem that Google services was stopped.
Try a different version of gapps.

You think full, mini, micro... ???
Hi .. I recently upgraded my phone xperia mini pro SK17i 's software from GB to ICS 4.0.4 and rooted my phone.
After rooting i installed Titanium backup and remove a few what i thought were unnecessary apps from my phone .
I think i also deleted the google.download.manager.apk i'm not sure but i cannot see this service in my "ALL APPS" (APP Manager) Its not at the bottom or disabled its just not there.
Since then i keep getting gapps stopped working and Google play stopped working .
i have tried
1. Rebooting (multiple times)
2. Clearing cache/clearing data for Play
3. un-installing /Re Install play
4. Download goomanager and downloading latest gapps packed and flashed the zip
5. Delete gmail account and restart and add account again.
Also i don't think there is prob in Google sync...
and checked out all the sites and forums for solution ... i still haven't gotten any solution to this.
i saw in a few places about QtADB and new ROM..but i have abs no clue about what it is or how to go about it
I jst want the Google download manager back and Google Play to work...
I have downloaded a new download manager for now. But was wondering if i can get back Google download manager without have to to do a factory reset.
First: You can ask these questions (for more response) in your phone section which can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=2054
Second: Wipe /system and flash ROM and GAPPS reboot phone and set it up then reboot again.. Should work now.
