Hey after flashing a JB rom, my phone wouldn't boot past the Galaxy S2 yellow triangle screen. Using a 3part stock gingerbread tar and repartition, I managed to get back to stock gingerbread. However, while I was flashing CM9 in Odin, my computer blue screened and obviously the flash failed mid way. I have now tried flashing a boot loader , kernel and the re partition rom. However, only the kernel flash passed. The others stop at NAND Start. My phone is now stuck at the yellow triangle screen and re partition won't flash. Any tips ?
EDIT now gets to FactoryFs.img before freezing and failing
Try this.

hi,
this morning i downloaded a i9305's stock rom in order to port it in my device (i9300) by using dsixda kitchen port tool. i ve flashed the edited rom and i got bootloop, then i tried to go to recovery i got black screen mixed with blue line (like a panic kernel). i pulled out the battery, flashed a stock rom by odin. the results are : touchscreen not responding, phone very slow to boot up
i tried everythings to restore it (factory reset, wipe dalvik cache, formated system, flashed original rom, full s/w with pit,pda,modem,csc....please help me
thanks
Allthough it is considered very risky try to flash stock fw with repartition ticked and pit file

yes i know but any solution ?
Stay a way from pit files if it boots .

so no response ?
no one can help me ?
You have asked got reply's tried most that can be advised all that is left is a paid for service repair .
jje
If you haven't tried already - I would repartition with pit first. (Make sure repartition is ticked)
If that fails then its possible the bootloader has been somewhat damaged. how far does the boot progress?
would need a sboot.bin that is within a tar file to flash via Odin - bit risky though!
edit
(can get sboot.bin.tar file from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1916796
but that thread is for phone s that do not go into download mode)
but research, so you are conffident about what your doing

Although I have flashed sboot.bin files on prev devices I have not done it on the SGS3.
I have left a clarification request on the aforementioned page

You're the second person I've heard that this happened to (Same screen corruption, touch not working afterwards), glad to know this wasn't related to my kernel. Seems that you have a wrong Melfas firmware going on on your device now.

if bootloaders and PIT with repartitioned and a stock ROM and Modem all together failed.
then likely need to to open phone to sort it out
------->know some experienced doing it or
------>service centre
possible hardware failure

I'm not sure what your asking?
AFAIK most of the drivers are within kernel and some with in ROM.
so if you successfully flash it with Stock ROM (includes kernel and ROM and modem) then they return to stock .
if your flashing is unsuccessful/failed on Odin, then you could try the SDcard technique
But personally I would send for warranty repair.

No, not right now, sorry. By the way this is now a hardware problem, you won't fix it through flashing anything.

Some things are hardware firmwares and have nothing to do with the ROM, the touchscreen is one of them.

If it is stuck at nand write it means your hardware is corrupted. You need to have a replacement mate.

sir sometimes when i choose other rom it stuck at boot.bin. hmm
Then it could be a bad download. Try downloading other ROMs, changing cable, killing kies and try again.

If you touched the pit it could be dangerous. Make sure you know what you are doing. You can try other USB cables as they seem to be the culprit most of the time.

Congrats you have flashed wrong kernal..
Now do one thing..
Go to gokhanmoral. Com
If you were running ics download 4.1.5 odin flash able tar file.. Flash throw odin.
If you were on gb download and flash 2.3.5 tar file...
If this doesnt work you need to flash stock rom via odin from sammobile.com for your country..
Make sure you have mobile version GT I9100 AND NOT GT I9100G...

Do you know where I could find instructions on how to flash a PIT?
this is file come from sammobile.com website
providing u the right PIT file with flasher
http://www.mediafire.com/?ddfpfkk2pb8326k
connect ur mobile , open odin program and then press on PIT button and navigate PIT files then (as i think) choose the latest PIT file with name i9300 (ur mobile Model) and latest date and then hit start ..... good luck but i recommend u send it to ur Samsung repair center if warranty cover
good luck
stop!
before messing with pit files, which is extremely dangerous, flash a stock ROM through Odin and then do a factory reset from recovery

Exactly this^^^^....pit file flashing is an absolute last resort, not a first solution
did you tried flashing 4.0.4 stock rom with odin?
same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago, flashing 4.0.4 and after that flashing 4.1.2 fixed it.
try to do not mess with pit especially if you didn't backup your efs folder. it is not needed.

okay? the first thing to do here is just flash a stock ROM, no need for pit files
Mine was stuck before than samsung logo, on the model number screen. Almost 1 second or less after opening the device.
Then i flashed 4.0.4 and magically it opened without any loop or something. Its useless to flash 4.1.2 or any other jb stock rom, for some reason it seems not fixing the loop issue.
Again, there is no problem related with pit files.

It's all individual, what worked for you might not work for others. Don't say that flashing JB is useless, because it's not
I flashed stock 4.0.4 firmware through odin. The operation was successful, but I was still unable to enter recovery. What am I doing wrong?

Follow the steps to root and flash your custom ROM again as if you just got your phone. The same thing happened to my T999, and it took me 3 tries doing this to finally get back into Recovery.
try to flash in odin stock rom then root use cwm then try to go to recovery..
My cousin's having the same exact issue and we've been unable to find the proper rom. Can anyone please tell me where to get one? I've downloaded some "international" ones but when i try to upload it it keeps telling me failed, i've tried at least 4 or 5 different roms.
ANY help would be greatly appreciated!!
Phone is:
GT-i9300
using it in the US with StraightTalk in the US (been working like a charm for ~6 months, all of a suddent when into this weird limp mode)

Try several times before giving up. Sometimes it works after when the device feels that you've had enough stress and fear.
I mean the problem is common but it's solved in different ways or different repeats.
But it seems that your problem is a software problem that can be solved.

Hello there, I have a i9300, currently soft-bricked. I tried to flash stock firmware with odin, but I'm just getting the "NAND write start!!" stuck. I also tried to save the phone by Kies, but it did not work. Please help me, I can't afford a phone like this.
You need a new motherboard if Nand is damaged .
Suggest download another stock firmware and Odin flash to be sure Nand is damaged .
Which Firmware did you try to flash exactly ? I suppose MG4 or newer ?
