Just wanted to gather people's opinions on what's their favourite/best Android security app?
On my Xperia x10 I always used Lookout. But when I installed this on my XS I noticed my battery drained considerably faster than before (I was previously satisfied with the baterry life on my XS)
Are there better options that do not drain the battery?

Avast for general security and theft protection (it's superb when root installed), and Lookout for location devices. Use the two together.
Oh, and get insurance. So worth it.

System panel paid version with monitoring enabled is what I use to track which apps if any are using CPU. Its the best tool by far for this.
How can I determine whats sucking my Battery in Miui? Is there a helpful app or setting? Using test build 8

There are 2 apps I've used. Spare Parts and CPU Spy.
I found a good one after all and was able to control some hogs. Android Assistant breaks it down nicely.

Hello, my battery started draining really fast recently, and in the usage statistics, it says 41% is due to cell standby, followed by 15% screen. Before the screen was the most draining factor. Anyone have an idea what's going on?

Hi everyone, a while ago my phone's battery started draining very, very quickly. Even with the screen off pretty much all the time and no apps running, the battery drained within 3 to 4 hours or so. So I bought a new, 3500mah battery (old one was around 1400). This increased the battery life but it still drained for no reason. I updated my ROM several times but it didn't fix it. Any help?

Which ROM/Kernel are you using?
A standard CM10.1 ROM with the included kernel.

thats a pretty steep curve. Can you post the second screen where it shows what apps consume the most batttery?
Android OS might be the thing thats using the battery. Also, look at the top and bottom of the graph. The first and last percent take way longer to deplete.

Du battery saver is using a lot of your battery. Get rid off it. All battery saver apps, except for greenify, use more battery than they save.
Edit, also Google adaway if you're rooted. You need an add blocker

Yeah, never ever EVER use those "battery saving" apps, speed boosters and such, all they do is bloat up your device.
