Since the name you are looking for starts with "com.google" you are going to be looking for a google proprietary application. "com.android" would be the open source side. Most likely you are looking for a google app. Apktool the apps and look around.

You're looking for google apps, if you want to find it, do the leg work yourself. I am not tearing apart apks because your too lazy to do it. This is my last comment on this thread. good luck.

You mean by changing the LCD display density in the build.prop? That is a very well-known mod, and even noobs know of it. I don't know why you are uploading a whole ROM with just a tiny change that anyone can simply do by themselves.

I just thought it was common practice to open up the zip file and change it to your liking before flashing. Seriously, though, why a whole ROM? If you *had to* post something, a few kilobyte file that'll change the build.prop file to a specified something would be more appropriate.

If this is truly the case, then this post is technically a spam link.
Why don't you guys report The Thread?SUM
Well you guys can type as easy anything you want you are entitled to reasoning.
i can decide to upload wherever i want my files to be ok. whether small or big and use any method to do so.
And moreover if this is not for you to try or use or just walk on and continue to work on
something else ok.
Any if you think its a spam just go ahead and report the thread to the MOD to have it deleted or something ok.
Isn't it easy to click the report button, just as the thank you button?.
Have a nice one you all.

Is everything you do just for a simple 'thanks' ???
The spirit of XDA is not to upload simple stuff and claim you did wonders, just so you could trick people into clicking the 'thanks' button.
If you really want to contribute, then do it not for the 'thanks'. But really share quality work to others, and the thanks will come on its own. It's what a community is supposed to do...

hey Guys,
So i am trying to find the New google now apk or modded apk for TW ICS. The Newest I've found is the M7-Velvet APK. I would like to get all of the newer cool features because thats what Im mainly missing now using the Padawan 9 ROM with OC kernel.
From my understanding there has been any development in the versions because If I remember right Google change some things in Google Now that make it impossible to port.

Post hasn't changed; why create a new thread?
I didnt see that nor did it come up in a search, im not a noob. Although there is a post setup already a new post might create some development on it.

Could someone point me in the right direction for disabling the camera shutter sounds on the new Sense 5 camera on the EVO LTE? On 4.0/4.1 I had a mod that created an option in the camera settings. I've searched high and low and haven't found anything specific to the new stock ROM.
I've unpacked the new Camera.apk and replaced all of the .ogg files with blank ones, then repacked and replaced the apk, but the app crashes as soon as I launch it. I've tried replacing it with a modded Camera.apk for another device (Droid DNA) but that didn't work for reasons that are probably obvious. I've also tried decompiling/recompiling it using APKtool but I get a Java FileNotFoundException every time I try to install a framework.
Any ideas?

Thanks, I was really trying to not sound like one of "those" people, but since searching within XDA threads is apparently down I was hoping it wasn't already covered in 117 pages. Guess I'll go page by page...
EDIT - Found it, thanks!

Go to Original Development and look for the 4.3 firmware/recovery/rom thread by Captain_Throwback. Read the first 3 posts. There are links to directions on how to edit /system/customize/CID/default.xml and build.prop prior to 1st boot, plus several other useful mods and upgrades.

Hey there, I'm currently building a rom based on aosp and would like some help or being pointed in the right direction for including xposed modules in the build? I have attempted to look on Google and the forums and i believe I'm using the wrong terms or just missing it each time.
Thankyou in advance to anyone who can tell me what to search, or even point me in the right direction.
For some reason the forums say this is the wrong location to post a question, I'm not sure where else this is meant to go, so I apologise if breaking rules.
------------
Solved
Xposed cannot easily be included in ROM without issues, but you can easily edit the source to resemble the required xposed mods I.e navbar size etc.
/frameworks/base/core/res/res/
/frameworks/base/packages/system-ui/
You can include xposed but without activation the usual way of putting the apk in folder and adding to XML file with app list
Or similar
Thank you

I was going to say.
Rule 1:
1. Search before posting.
Use one of our search functions before posting or creating a new thread. Whether you have a question or just something new to share, it's very likely that someone has already asked that question or shared that news.
