(Q) MIUI V4 Wifi icon? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there a way to change MIUI V4's wifi icon in the status bar? I know you can use StatusBar themes but all I want to do is change the WIFI icon to cm9/ics's stock one, rather than theming the whole bar/notification drawer. Thanks!

Quite simple. U can use root explorer to do that. Extract miuisystemui.apk from system/app. Look at folder drawable hdpi. There's all the status bar icon. Change to whatever u want, of course the name should be the same. After that, zip it again. Change extention from .zip to .apk. Replace your stock miuisystemui. PLEASE MAKE A BACKUP.

Download my theme. Check my signature. Dash Black or AOSP Gingerbread. Download the update.zip. The extrct its contents. Copy all files from folder framework to /system/framework. You re done.
Only thing is that you will have smaller icons. So I suggest you apply icon pack.
i think you may push only android.policy.jar and services.jar in framework and settings.apk in app system folder, but theme that you use must support 9lockscreen mod(must have pngs for all 9)...works on my g3

You will also need framework-res.apk with the PNGs for 9 lockscreen mod. And those jar files. Then done.
is it possible to pick a different picture for the lockscreen? Or do I need an app like wigetlocker for that?

It will be easier if some one just give a link to "clean" version of this mod.
It is ok if you have chosen one of the above given suggestions but if no, try using the Kyrillos' ROM 8.2, it will be having 9Lockscreen mod.

Easiest thing to do is use UOT Kitchen and cook up your own theme... its called searching I think
how about use UOT Kitchen?!
URL → http://uot.dakra.lt/kitchen
can you please tell me how kichen work? How can i change the menu after i select my menu???
i dont think u can have transparent stat bar in any froyo
You can, all you need is a transparent png for the background
i mean, there's no chance to cook in uot
but still can use any transparent png (modif framework-res / systemUI)
Actually to get Transparent Status Bar, you have to edit the png's in SystemUI.apk, and not framework-res.apk.
Statusbar_Background9.png (something like that)
Make sure you add the PNG to MDPI and HDPI folders.
Op/topic was on 2.2.x, systemui.apk only exists in 2.3+, the right place to edit it in 2.2.x is framework-res.apl
I see... That I didnt know.
Thx for clearing that up

UOT Kitchen with ICS???

Has anyone got the UOT Kitchen working on the Galaxy S2 running one of the ICS ROMS (either ported or leaked stock) to be able to change the battery and status bar icons?
I'm trying to create a plain white set of icons and white circle battery to match more with the Google notifications for Music, GMail etc. instead of the TW grey that Samsung uses on their ROMS.
I choose the mods, upload framework and tw-framework, get the zip but it errors out in CWM???
Any ideas???
Is it possible yet?

I don't think it supports ICS yet, also you need to upload the SystemUI.apk because ICS uses that now for almost everything UI related.
I think i read on the i9000 board that you have to select emmc in the edify section. Havent tried it yet though.

I've tried it with uploading 2 files (framework and system) and it would not install the zip. I've also tried it with uploading 3 files (above plus the tw one) and uot kitchen was not able to generate a file.
I tried to change the battery to a white circle one with numbers. In to see if there is a solution to this.

This is what I'm getting too.
If you change to EMMC and upload framework and tw-framework only, it DOES create the zip, but when you install it it only changes some of the icons (the downloading file icon for example.) Not the signal strength, wifi, alarm clock or battery though.
I tried it just gives some error and doant let u download it like ntfs or some other code

Go to this site : http://uot.dakra.lt/kitchen/ , click on statusbar and click enable transparency , then mod it to your preference, click file upload, then upload ( framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk ) from your rom , then wait for your file, download then flash the zip file ,reboot and you should have your transparent status bar . Or just flash an MIUI ROM...

Nova launcher & cm theme icons

Hi there
Im using nova launcher ans cm9. Today i installed a cm9 (Theme chooser) theme with realy nice Icons. If i edit my lockscreen icons i can select the new once under "System Icons" but if i want to change Them within Nova launcher i cant find them.
Where do i find them or how can i make them available?
Thanks for helping

Lock Screen Icons to use in Nova launcher
You can find them in your ROM zip file under /system/framework/framework-res.apk/res/drawable-hdpi/.
Use 7-Zip to extract drawable-hdpi folder. There are lots of PNG files in that folder.
I suggest you find the ones you want and then put them in a folder like Icons then copy the folder to your SD Card.
I hope this will help.
