I have searched forums all over the internet and on here and asked this before but now one answered.
Surely I can't be the only one bothered by the fact that when using your device in landscape in a car dock that the incoming call screen and the call screen are portrait this is rather annoying and one of the devs out there must know how to mod the framework for this. Please If someone could help it would be much appreciated.

Hi,
I'm posting this because I have found no answer after frying Google search or xda search engines.
So is it possible to enable TabletUI on CM10?
I tried with manually changing lcd density from build.prop to 170 as suggested on an article found on internet, but after reboot it gets stuck on black screen and wont boot.
Im somewhat experienced in modding the android system files, if needed.
Any clues? Am I doing something wrong?
All help is appreciated

If your rooted there is a flash file that can turn them off. I havnt seen itin a while you have to search the forum. Then download honey hide to hide the on screen status bar. Or try downloading cypher ROM. It has both to play with

The only way I know that you can get the keys to work on HC is with JMZtaylor's kernel but it's not completely stable. The occasional bootloop happens.
I flashed the Aokp ROM on my xperia U and got some interesting results. On flashing the non-play version the notification bar was missing and a lot of things were clearly broken. And on flashing the play version the phone now detects an external mouse or something. First I thought some accessibility feature had gotten turned on. I checked and nothing. The touch still works but a stupid pointer shows up on the display which I can navigate around with. But typings a pain and I could really use any suggestions anyone might have.
One of the reasons I think it has something to do with the external mouse thing is that the pointer gets affected by the pointer speed settings in the language and input tab!.

Odp: Xperia U screen trouble due to non existent external mouse
Reflash stock fw. This always help. But don't flash this Rom again because there will be same problems. Just flash other Rom.

It may be a problem due to your hardware, ie with your touchscreen.
Perform a touchscreen test by typing *#*#7378423#*#* on your dialler
