Foxfi is driving me nuts..... - Verizon HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE

Foxfi works using wifi with proxy but after I use it for 10 minutes or so it stops moving data and I have to turn the connection off then back on. Anyone else having this issue? Also when I try to start the Bluetooth connection in foxfi it tells me its unable to open Bluetooth. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you download the foxfi add-on to use the proxy it works.

FoxFi (with proxy) has been working well enough for me, with random data stoppage. The stoppage does not appear to be a time-related. Sometimes FoxFi will work without issues for a long time, and occasionally it will stop after just a few minutes. I have not been able to determine if I am doing anything specific to cause the stops.

You could try and use this. I used this when I want to check out google videos. It has the same problem as what you're having.

Tried OTA Rootkeeper with a Touchpad with Cyanogenmod 9. No go. Also tried renaming the Superuser.apk as suggested in another thread. Also no go. Hoping someone posts a modified .apk soon. This would be nice to have working.
Use supersu and disable root
It's in the market

Nothing. Twc app must check some file somewhere
Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk 2
Did you reboot?
Try renaming the su binary
It's in /system/bin and /system/bin
Or possibly rename busybox as well
I don't have the app
Edit: did you wipe data on the twc app? I'm pretty sure once it detects your rooted once it will prevent it until its wiped

Yes I did both. Did it work for you?

Simple, my 17 year old figured it out. Rename super user.apk, to anything else. Reboot. Wipe data in the twc app. Worked for me. All other root apps still work fine too.
Now, how does app know if I'm on my home network? Why not at my office on office wifi network? Yes,I have time warner internet, but what if I was on another provider, would the app still detect my TV cable box and how?

That's essentially what the application above does. I think the recommendation to wipe the app's data is what helped too.

[Q] Internet pass-through (CM9)

Could someone tell me how to share my PC internet (to use internet pass-through) to my SGS 2 (CM9) via USB?
P.S. I would use WiFi, but my DSL Modem doesn't have one... :|
Won't work, get connectify and install on your computer/laptop, it should have wifi.
Connectify gives you multiple options to connect, avoid adhoc ones. Choose the last option.

You should be rooted and have iptables for it to work.. Maybe something is missing there? Try searching for how to reverse tether you will find many guides with manual steps to take (via shell), my advice would be to go through them and see what's not working for you there and that would probably be the case the app is failing.
Good luck!

AT&T hotspots telling me to open the browser and accept the terms and conditions to access free wifi ..
any ideas on how to get it to auto connect as it once did?
I think that was att bloatware app. If not the same, a similar app, AT&T smart WiFi, is on play store, seems like it has issues with battery drain though.

I flashed that wisp file and made sure all the permissions were correct when it rebooted. It still does not auto login to the ATTWIFI locations. Then I added those lines to the wpa file from another thread and still nothing for me.

Must have attwifi ssid in the list of saved WiFi networks, after that it will auto connect and login every time. Will show a notification when it connects.
Worked like a charm, thanks!

I've used FoxFi in the past and it worked well until I got my Mega. I've heard that a fix is to boot into recovery and clear the cache partition but it is failing for me.

Stop the native WiFi tethering client running and use Mobile Hotspot from the play store. Use the one with the green droid peering at you from the bottom of the app icon. When settings fail just ignore.

No bueno. With that app I still get "Mobile hotspot is unavailable. To enable mobile hotspot on this device, go to att.com/mywireless or dial 611". And the little green dude spins forever when I click "Ok".

ok. No tension. I will try next only for you..
If you are on ATT, it comes with a Mobile Hotspot app....unless you turned it off.
Once you go in to the app, it will have to be configured and assigned a name. You will be given a password to use.
It works very well. I use my Mega as a hotspot for my wifi Tab 3. Just have to remember that while it's on, you will be using your data!
