How can I add details to downloaded mp3 files? - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

So have an app to download music like I'm sure many of us to but there are details that are missing such as track numbers and genre that I would like to add. Especially track number so that music player plays the album in order. Is there a way that I could add the missing details?

I use an app called itag pro its awesome look for it

Meridian ~ my favorite player, which has your requirements covered, plus some:

I've uploaded all my music to Google Play Music, and it does it's best to fix it. But you can edit it from the interface. I just stream all my music to my phone. No need to hold up space.

I use mp3tag, its free, which lets you search amazon and add all of the missing info and covers. Very easy to use.

Need help for Music download, organize and play

Hi guys,
I'm looking for 3 apps.. one in particular..but 3 in general..
- for download music, I need one app that allows me to see the bitrate of the song before i'm gonna download it..
- for listen music, i already know about poweramp and n7player.. do i miss some other good programs? For me the most important thing is that the player must have the best sound quality and let me play entire folders.. in windows I was use to play music with mediamonkey..
- for organise music, the most important app i'm looking for.. I need an app that recognize something like "a% - t%" (artist - title) and automatically edit the id3 tags of multiple songs.. I mean, one app that just read the filename of the song and automatically tags the file.. in windows, with mediamonkey I was able to tag the id3 from filename and viceversa.. I already tried DroID3Tagger but the app freeze when I try to edit the id3..
Do you know the app(s) i'm looking for?
P.S. sorry for my english......

MixZing Media Player
I would look outside the play store for older versions because the newer versions have video ads

musiXmatch Lyrics... stand alone or in conjunction with something like PowerAmp via a plugin.
Tunewiki displays lyrics, although I just got an email from Tunewiki saying it won't be available anymore after June 28. I just installed and it displayed lyrics to music that was playing in Google Music app, but the lyrics didn't scroll in time with the song

Google Play Music.

I've started using Google Play Music as my media player. But when I buy something and "keep it on device" I can't find where its downloaded too. I've searched all through my phone. Sometimes I use the HTC music player nut I can't access anything I've bought from the Play store until I download it to my computer and copy it to my phones music folder. It's pretty frustrating. Does anyone else have this problem? Or know another work around? Thanks in advance

GPM does keep the tracks on your device, but not is a format that can be accessed by other music players. It caches music in /data/data/com.google.android.music/file/music as mp3's with numeric filenames like 10.mp3, 11.mp3, etc. and the indexing of track Title/Album/Artist to the cached mp3's is stored in /data/data/com.google.android.music/databases/music.db
That's just plain stupid..... I paid for the music and should be able to move it to where I want on my own device. I love Google but they do some stupid things. Such as that and not letting you merge 2 separate Google accounts. Thanks a bunch though

Yeah it's stupid. You're better off buying from Amazon.

Kinda stupid, I agree. However, if you're storing music on your phone, you might as well plug in your phone, and just copy the music over to the folders you want, which will preserve file titles/tags.
I actually like Play Music .... but this closed music management is terrible. You can not choose where your music is stored and you can't open your music with another app. As it has been said above, there is the possibility to read out the music.db. So I've written me an app, that copies my MP3 files from Play Music to the sdcard and extended them with the ID3 meta data such as title, artists, albums and coverart. Now I can play the music with every app and theoretically even share.
Of course the whole thing is only one solution for rooted phones. But it makes play music a little more comfortable.
I even found a way to save music from AllAccess, but I'm not going to publish this App Version in the foreseeable future because of legal problems.
I would also like to create help thread here in XDA, but unfortunately I must have 10 posts written , before I can create am own thread in the developer forum.
Here is a Link to to the Play Store: Unfortunately I can not post links yet. Search 'Play Music Exporter' on Google Play.

[Q] Recommendations for a music player

Hi all,
I have an extensive music library - and I'm currently using both Play Music and the default Music app to play the songs.
However it appears that no matter what settings I choose, whether I skip songs or not, both apps with only choose certain songs to play out of the 500 or so I have stored on my SD card.
Do you have recommendations on a good music player (prefer only music as don't watch videos) that doesn't just have a set list of tracks but actually shuffles when it says it is.
Thanks,
Linz.
Poweramp is pretty good but you would have to pay for it
yup, PowerAMP rocks!
there are music players like PowerAmp, N7player, PlayerPro, etc... all have trial versions, maybe you should try these and decide by yourself.

im more of a clean design guy with a serious music library ocd,
always used shuttle+ since it keeps my library sorted with artist and album pictures, its latest beta gives it a more material design feel, and has never let me down.
On the 'free' front, I have used Vanilla Player and would recommend it. It's very capable of handling large number of files, and playlists.

On the 'paid' front, PowerAmp seems very popular. Personally, I have used 'Gone Mad Music Player' and found it very capable too of handling large number of files & playlists.

Both of these players support ReplayGain, which was an important feature for me.

Ascend mate 2 recommended music player?

So I've been having issues and I want to use a descent music player.
Pretty much all I want the ability to do is forward back and forth tracks and be able to sort/view by folders.
PowerAmp does it but it's not free and after a while expires which is lame.
There's also MusicPlayer - Audio Player by Mobile_V5 but it's full of ads which is stupid and... it doesn't have a simple button where you can repeat a song. It has the folder view, recent view, etc.. which is all neat and simple. However the ads and lack of repeat button...
I don't are about shuffle I don't want shuffle. I like to pick my folder which I name a genre and then play what's in the folder. Then just go forward/back when i want to.
Gone mad music player (GMMP) is awesome
