Hi! Is there any mod for Google earth to fake dual core cpus to make the 3d city available? Due the single-core restriction user without dual core can't see the 3d buildings on e.g. hd2. Any idea? Thanks!

No, because most devices have Dual Core processor. So, I doubt that people have came up with a hack for that.

You could always change the build.prop on your device to match the product of a device that's dual core

So I downloaded "android system info" and under cpu on processors I am getting a "1". Same thing when I downloaded the quadrant app. What are y'all getting?

There is actually only one processor...which has dual cores, right?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Yeah. Quad Cores are still single processors with four cores. But all in all still a single processor.
Ok that cleared the android system info app but in the quadrant it had "core:1" is that also the same? I was getting worried that maybe only one was working. Thanks for the replies.

1 processor, 2 cores.
However, dual core phones only use one core at a time so it will only show it as 1 until the load increases to the point where your device starts using the 2nd core.
You're a genius! Lol thanks for the clearing that up.

Does the Photon run on both cores at all times......or does it run like the EVO 3D and use one core for everyday use and both cores during gaming???

It is dependent on load. But there is a script shabby wrote to turn it on when ever you want to.
Also is the Qualcomm S3 processor in the 3D better than the Tegra II?? Would you trade a 3D for a Photon???

Wouldn't touch a 3D with another mans testicals. Tegra - I think is a better SOC.

Dungeon defenders runs flawlessly on this phone. Even my shift oc'd to 1.8g would hiccup. Drains the battery though lol

Download system panel from the market, allows you to monitor your system including load on both cores, available ram, etc. also doubles as a task killer

I suggest you wait for LG Optimus 4 X HD even if it is an LG phone. It will have quad core which will definitely attract a lot of developers.

S2 of course! The second after nexus to have maximum number of recogonised roms ! Plus you get all the gaming experience and stuff!
Im not big into gaming but god quadcore sounds nice...battery,performance,phone specs get my attention....lg isnt bad but its support is bull****, gx2 is a high end model with quadcore technolgy and still doesnt have an ICS update..I want a phone that gives me the wow factor. Its true though, technology is always involving

G2X is a dual core mobile not quad core. And also, it has an unofficial CM9 with almost all the things working. Plus it has MIUI.

I agree . Getting a G2x dual core won't enable you to run Mac on one core & windows on another
For android it matters, eligibility of roms , smoothness of UI and apps and availability of maximum number of custom roms.
Rest I suggest to go for your mind and heart, choose a device which is suitable to you and your style

I'm surprised no one has still asked this but any news? I mean chainfire 3d allowed tegra 2 dual core games to be played on a overclocked single core nexus s smoothly. And now that nvidia has literally abondend tegra 2 and moved onto tegra 3 so should we?
Any news?

BUMP! GS3 is being released and this is becoming even more necessary!
Any news?
Check the CF3D thread, I'm pretty sure that Chainfire himself stated that this would not be possible due to the advancement in the technology of the GPUs.

No, normal behavior. It only comes on as needed. (well, should.)
Should come on when the load on the processor increases more. Check the Times tab up at the top right of that screen after you've done something processor intensive like loading up a game. Will probably show a few stats for the second core as well.
Forcing the second core on is not recommended either.

yep. second core is only used when needed. like a computer, the phones first core is primary but if it feels it cant hold up it will turn on the second one.
Some processors are designed to use all cores at all times.
This one only uses the second core when it's under heavy load.

You need a kernel that has voltage control.

ICS could definitely use it. My games are more choppy and laggy since ICS. I know GB couldnt utilize second core because the kernel didnt support it. Youd think it would try to use it with the Sense lag... Lol
In my experience, undervolting doesn't do much to improve battery life. All these new Sense kernels are fun to play with, but they haven't done a thing to improve performance for me. And I've tried all the recommended settings that are supposedly great.
And yes, they may work fine... But I can't say any of them were noticeably better than stock. In fact, most were worse.
But, the flasher in me will continue to experiment. It's just what we do.

Yea but how do you use it? I see people saying like I do 75 across the board does that mean they are just hitting the -12.5v till it equals 75 total lower volts?
