*#06# is the international code to get your phones imei.
How did you get information about your bootloader?
To check on stock sony firmware if your phones bootloader can be unlocked open your dial pad and enter *#*#service#*#*
Scroll through the service menu and look at bootloader status.

Not really big guys, only "thanks whores" who beg for thanks and it doesn't really make their thanks count bigger..
If you deserve it and someone want to press it, he will do because he want not because you ask him.
Same as if he doesn't want, no text will make him press it

I guess as the camera is diff, the libs will cause issues. Will not suggest to take risk.
All the old root methods are not working, looks like all old exploits are closed in 2.3.4. Looking for an exploit to root. Lets see. If anyone already rooted Neo v, please share.
I totally agree that it is a risk and I would not do it because I understand very little about the subject android.
but it is only a guess.
The issue is very large libraries because I do not understand

Sent from my MT11i using xda premium
if you are on t-mobile then your bootloader & fastboot will be locked by your carrier...
Dial *#*#7378423#*#* , then goto service info > configuration . At the bottom you should see this
Bootloader unlock allowed :YES or NO , IF YES UNLOCKING SUPPORTED IF NO UNLOCKING IS NOT SUPPORTED
If it says NO then you have to buy 5 credits to use a full SETOOL to unlock your bootloader & you fastboot(if it is locked too)
@vimjam : The link Unofficial Unlocking Method 2 does not work.
Can you please update the same ?

[Q] need help to unlock bootloader plzzz

hi i am a new user of xperia neo.....in my device bootloader unlock allowed says NO...now can anyone help me to unlock my bootloader ???? plzz someone help me ,which method i can use to unlock bootloader....and if my bootloader is lock can i use recovery mode on my device ????
Please read the stickies before posting.
Boot loader unlock no= no fast boot so you cannot flash custom kernels, but you can flash all stock ones including ics.
You can still root and install cwm, this will allow you to flash any rom for locked boot loader.

Actually no you can just read the stickies, you are going to murder your phone, you cannot downgrade to 2.3.3 you'll get the 0% battery issue.
Why people start messing with things without research I don't know.
Do your self a favor and read the stickies before you try anything else you will find the right way to root

Ok , first , unlock your bootloader here
Its kinda complex so read well and do everything right , and make sure u back up ur things (sms , contacts , apps) cuz they will be deleted , ur sd card (photos , music , etc) wont be deleted
When u finish , downlaod this and install it
After installing go to the directory u installed flashtool in , and u will see a drivers folder , open it and install flashtool-drivers.exe and choose xperia S when asked , dont choose anything else
Download this file and extract it to ur desktop
Downlaod this kernel here and put it in Fastboot folder (that u extracted)
Now you have everything , press shift+right click on the fastboot floder u extracted to the desktop , and choose open cmd windows here
Now copy this to the cmd windows [ fastboot flash boot ics14.elf ] , u should get this on your cmd windows (waiting for device)
Now shut down your phone . unplug it
And hold the volume up button , and while your holding it , plug it with the usb cabel , and keep holding volume up till u the led lights blue
Your phone will be rooted an you will have cwm 6 (latest)
Enjoy
If u want , u can check out my rom here
Hope i helped , if i did press the THANKS button
One problem...i have the unlockable bootloader:
2. In your phone, tap Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status. If Bootloader unlock allowed says Yes, then you can continue with the next step. If it says No, or if the status is missing, your device cannot be unlocked.

As you unlocked your bootloader via testpoint, Your bootloader is patched. So SUS or PCcompanion detect is as locked only, also your DRM data is preserved so you can use the Sony's track Id and PlayNow apps. Connect you phone Via SUS / PC-companion and Enjoy the Stock ICS ,587.
