sorry to bump this but i really need this too, anyone knows a solution ?

Just use noled. Its a program on the play store that puts all your notifications on the lock screen. Can be a battery monster tho

that will keep my screen on as if it was a led notification, which will drain my battery as ****... thanks anyway
any other good idea out there ?

You could use bln. Backlight notification... it uses the capacitive buttons to notify you of sms.

You need to turn on notifications, when your looking at the news feed press your menu haptic button , the button on the bottom left of your 4 button layout go into settings and turn on vibrate or select an alert tone and the notifications will work. I also recommend setting the refresh interval in the settings to never to save battery. Hope this helps.

Any free apps like that or anyway to get that for free? I don't have a way to pay for that yet.

This is the free app
[EDIT] And this app doesn't even require root access unless you want to disable the stock status bar completely

But to get the brightness widget you have to have premium.

You can adjust the brightness by sliding your finger on the statusbar in CM9, CM10 and other ROM's. Enable it in the statusbar settings (CM9/10), and disable automatic brightness.
