[UPDATE] Version 0.36 is out.
Recent changes:
version bump with minor cosmetic changes
This is just a minor maintenance release, no need to upgrade if your 0.35-beta1 is working well.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[UPDATE] Version 0.35-beta1 is out.
Recent changes:
improved the monitoring service
added a new option - Only if <100% (will only run the auto-action (reboot or restart service) if the battery reports less than 100% when done charging)
improved the "battery full" detection code, should work better now
other fixes and improvements
Also had to delete some old versions since I hit the 20-attachments-per-post limit.
EDIT: Just realized I uploaded the wrong screenshot. Corrected.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[UPDATE] Version 0.31-beta1 is out.
Recent changes:
hopefully fixed the constant "superuser auth" issue on CM10
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[UPDATE] Version 0.30-beta1 is out.
NOTE: Due to the significant changes in the settings/preferences part, please uninstall any previous version before installing this one. Thank you.

Recent changes:
re-added deleting batterystats.bin as an option (off by default)
moved all preferences to the settings screen
added an option to turn charging on or off, and also an option to automatically turn charging off when USB power detected
added some heuristics to determine when the battery is done charging (if the voltage does not change within 30 minutes, the battery is considered to be done charging) - hopefully this works
bugfixes, general code cleanup
Since new features were added and a significant chunk of the code has been rewritten, this is now considered beta.
This version also makes sure to be as non-intrusive as possible - nothing will happen automatically by default, you need to initiate any actions.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[UPDATE] Version 0.21 is out.
Recent changes:
disabled removing the batterystats.bin file - it seems to have only caused problems with not a lot benefit. WARNING: if you're coming from an earlier version, you need to wipe app data for this to work!
changed defaults - now the app won't run the fix automatically when power detected by default, this should make the app completely non-intrusive by default.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[UPDATE] Version 0.20 is out.
Recent changes:
added an option to restart the battd service instead of a full reboot - seems to work but this should be considered a beta feature
moved some options to a separate settings screen
cleanup here and there
Also cleaned up the attachments to this post.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[UPDATE] Version 0.16 is out.
Recent changes:
better handling of missing or invalid datadir

busybox is no longer required, will try to use system shell if busybox is not found
fixed a progress dialog issue upon screen rotation
uploaded source code to github
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[UPDATE] Version 0.1 FINAL is out.
Recent changes:
mostly just cosmetic changes
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[UPDATE] Version 0.1-beta4 is out.
Recent changes:
instead of running hardcoded shell commands, now runs external shell scripts in the app's datadir (so you can modify the scripts to your own liking)
all shell commands/scripts are now executed through busybox instead of default system shell (so busybox is now required)
separated fixing the battd datafiles (which is normally needed every so often) from fixing battd permissions and ownership (which should be needed only once)
cleanup and other improvements
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[UPDATE] Version 0.1-beta3 is out.

Changes include:
(hopefully) fixed su and other issues
added option to reboot the phone when it's done charging (hopefully that actually works )
added real-time battery monitor
general cleanup
other things I forgot
Many issues should now be fixed, but this is still considered alpha-quality software, so be warned.

So...
Like many other people, I too am affected by the dreaded "won't charge beyond xx%" battery bug. I know in reality this is probably of little importance since (at least in my case) the battery is getting decent charge and lasts long enough anyway. But I would still like to see it fully charged, at least every so often.
So I did the procedure mentioned in this thread and it worked, but only once - the bug would appear again on the next charge cycle. Then I found this post and tried that too, and it also worked but also only once. So I decided to make this little app.
What the app does is, upon getting notified that the charger has been connected, it will automatically delete files in /data/battd (all except uid - namely cc_data, cc_data_old and powerup). Then all you have to do is wait for the battery to charge as far as it goes and then reboot (and then possibly charge a little more). That's it!
NOTE 1: Obviously for the app to work correctly your phone needs to be rooted.
NOTE 2: This app will not increase your battery life or change it in any way, shape or form. All it does is attempt to fix the percentage display.
Now admittedly, it can get annoying if you connect your phone to the computer just to transfer some files and the app gets triggered anyway because it detected charging. That's why the auto-triggering can also be disabled in the app. You can also leave it permanently disabled and just use the "force calibration" button to calibrate your battery only when you feel like it.
Anyway, I hope the app will be useful at least to some. The app should work on all rooted GB ROMs and possibly on ICS and JB too.
NOTE: this the initial release of the app, and is also my 3rd (if I'm counting them right) Android app as of yet. So be warned, this app is currently alpha-quality. Standard disclaimers apply, although I don't see how it could do any damage.

Nice app. Seems simple but useful to all of us. Thanks,ravilov..
It's fantastic, thanks man.
ne1 tried this? does it work or is it placebo, cos my atrix wont pass thru 98% even when i have 4200mh of charge. but i tried Die Hard Calibration from zeppelinrox (same builder of V6 Supercharger) and had several issues on CM7, like wont charge when turned off. I had to flash another rom, Im afraid of having this issues again.
I got error. Its says "error recallobrating battery (null)". I wonder if it is because the app doesn't have root privilege, coz I dont get the requesting root prompt from superuser.

This app will only get ur xx% values back to 100% or 99% without u having to delete any thing manually or pulling the battery. Correct me if i am wrong and thanks for the app ill sure try this.

If you don't get the prompt, the app is not getting required permissions and so it can't work.
Which ROM are you using? Can you go to terminal emulator on the phone and run
Code:
which su
and tell me what it says?

Correct. It just makes it easier to apply the fix mentioned in the OP.
Wow, someone finally made this process easier! I had to do this every time I woke up in the morning using Root Browser. It only saves me maybe 30 seconds, but those 30 seconds it saves add up! Thanks bud.!
OP, add an auto reboot selection box that is triggered when the phone fully charged.

Could have used this app this morning myself. I'll check it out and report back.
Edit: Or I would if I wasn't, too, getting an error recalibrating message. I'm running epinter's CM10, and terminal emulator tells me "/system/sbin/su"

Same error here, I'm in epinter jb rom.
Edit: the program don't ask for su permission. It's ok?
Edit 2: Unselect both options and press calibrate button. Here the program ask for su access, delete files and prompt for reboot. My battery was in 95% and 4200mA. After reboot, the battery is showing 100%. Excellent.

As an idea, use root explorer to see how is mounted your file system, mount as R/W if needed, try again with the fix program.

Good idea, I'll try to add that. Unfortunately unlike "charger connected", the "battery full" doesn't broadcast a system-wide event...
I'm working on a workaround for that.

I guess that could be it too. I'm running CM7, don't have access to ICS or JB right now.
I'm trying to figure out what's causing this, if everything else fails I'll just have to install CM9/CM10 myself.
The rest of you that are affected, can you check if the files in /data/battd are deleted anyway, despite getting an error?
It would help me in pinpointing the problem.

Hey buddy. I was getting the null error, but after I de selected both boxes, the prompt showed up.
I recommend you update the app to also delete the files found under /data, /system, /usage stats. See screenshot:
It should delete all the dated usage files except for the one that ends on. Xml. Maybe this will help the system start over fresh. :good:
Sent from my MB860 on CM10
Not sure how you're going to go about getting the battery stats. Briefly looking into it, there's not /proc/acpi, but `dumpsys battery` from a terminal gives battery information
you could do something like `dumpsys battery | grep level | cut -d : -f 2` which gives the value.

Thanks for the tip. This should be pretty easy to add to the app. However I'd rather not delete too much stuff for now. I think I'd rather wait until it's confirmed this has some actual influence on the battery percentage.

Oh no, Android has a nice API to fetch all that info, no need to twiddle around with random shell pipelines and such.
BTW, there's also cat /sys/class/power_supply/battery/capacity
I figured it had to be in there somewhere, just couldn't find it

Well I not kidding, it shows up like that. After that prompt asking root access and allowed it, I pressed the force button. But Its says like that, read only file system. Already tried setting read and write from root explorer but It wont help.

Tachi91 is this working without the reboots for you?
Here's what I posted on the thread at Scott's Roms:
I've had a lot of issues with this causing constant reboots after 10-20 seconds of use.
I ran this right after installing the CleanICS ROM. Initially it hung at the 4g boot animation. I did a battery pull and wiped, and it allowed me to boot.
After that, I have enough time to unlock and page through apps, for example, before it reboots. It continues to reboot after a certain amount of time, consistently.
The only time I didn't have constant reboots was when my data network wasn't being picked up for some reason. As soon as I toggled on 3g or 4g, the reboots began again.
I've wiped and reinstalled CleanICS and this .bat numerous times over the last few hours, all with the same result.

I tried
full wipe
flash rom
at bootscreen run bat
wipe cache/dalvik/data
sysui crashed once, shows bootscreen again when trying to call, do other stuff
I have found the problem. Don't replace the settings.apk and settings provider. That is what is causing the crashing.
Can we just remove a chunk out of the .bat file that is causing this. Is it the systemui part?

read the post right above yours lol. Ninja'd
I took out settings.apk and settingsprovider.apk, and haven't had a reboot yet, but the browser constantly FCs.
Edit: Force stop + clearing data for the browser fixed that.
I'm sorry I unwillingly got involved in something unrelated to xda smh..
ANYWAYS
Why can try restoring SettingsProvider.apk and see how that changes things
adb command
adb remount
adb shell mv /system/app/SettingsProvider.bak /system/app/SettingsProvider.apk
Can we take out the browser part then too?
Settings.apk is what gives the Settings Pane the ICS look
SettingsProviders.apk is the corresponding apk BUT its not necessary to have the ICS look in settings ... I just added it as a precaution
SystemUI.apk is the statusbar/Pull Down ... That Crashed but isn't need to keep the system up since it crashed but comes back up without raping Android
Ok Tachi Im testing what you said. Ill let you know if it works
Seems to be working
Question......What does settings provider do?
---------- Post added at 09:31 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:23 PM ----------
Only thing im noticing is trying to get a data connection. Wifi works but not data
Going to try to wipe data and cache and see if it works
..I'm going to remove some more HTC apps and see if any dependencies get removed and prevents boot loop
... So far the one sure way that i've tested is running the .bat before actually using the ROM.... and to remove the annoying Setup wizard
adb shell rm /system/app/HTCSetupWizard.apk
Would settings provide have any effect on data?
cincyelite22 said:

Yes and No ... Any and all changes are saved in /data ... now i imagine something that was present in the sense Provider is present in the ICS Provider and would cause and issue
..
But the logcat i see is relating something to com.htc.launcher ... so maybe any apps that rely on Rosie ... like Personalize apk and so on would cause an issue
I just restored the old settings provider. I'll let you know what it does.
Where do you turn on data in the ics settings that might be my problem.

Try restoring the Sense Browser .. They can coincide...
adb shell mv /system/apps/Browser.bak /system/apps/HTCBrowser.apk
that just restores the sense Browsers and renames it to HTCBrowser like that it doesn't overwrite the ICS one and you can have both and see if it stables out.... Remediable to clear cache/data and restart afterwards

Try these in order after you have set your settings
- Force Close snapchat and try again
- Restart
And lastly if it still doesn't work it means there is something wrong with your phone and the best solution is below.
- Convert snapchat into a system app. Currently the best solution in my opinion.

BUG REPORTS
Ok there are two things I need if you want me to read it.
1. LOG (see below on how to get it)
2. A description of the problem and how to reproduce it.
Getting log
By default keepchat does not print to the log.
Enable Log
- Open Keepchat settings
- Tick Debug Mode (i.e. turn it on)
Turn off other Mods.
Restart
Open Snapchat
Reproduce the error
Get the log
Upload only the revelant part of the log
- Only upload the part after the ----KEEPCHAT STARTED---- Block
- All of Keepchats logs come in blocks. So remove other entries that are not keepchat related.

Its basically the same, except for these two main differences.
- Lets you save sent snaps
- Lets you choose the folder where everything is saved
Other than that there are just some small bugs that have been fixed.
(and a settings page )

Getting an error on 4.0.21 with the latest (3.0) of Keepchat. In the logs it says the module has loaded and I've uninstalled rc5 (which worked perfectly). Problem is, when I open a snap it says "image cannot be saved. Error 1." or something very close to that in a toast. Looking at the logs nothing is happening after the module loads on boot. No recognizing that Snapchat has launched, no loading my settings, nothing. There is nothing in the log from Keepchat besides the module being loaded like any other.

Edit: made a new empty directory and changed the save location to this folder and it works now. Any insight on why it wouldn't work OK the folder I had been using before?

I have personally never had problems with stories. But there are a few new hooks that should completely stop that. Of course only time will tell.
Getting errors with v3 saying cannot be saved:error1
Edit: about to flash my phone (not due to this btw) and will retry, will report results

Hey guys!
I have been using Omni ROM for a while. And yes, its a pretty stable KitKat ROM! Almost everything works fine without any issue. But the thing that bugged me was root. There wasn't root permission in the the ROM. So no link2sd and no other script works for expanding storage.
So basically, the only major problem in the ROM was ROOT.
So I worked it out and present before you an easy method.
Prerequisites:
Omni ROM
Root flashable zip
Method:
Download the required packages
Install Omni ROM (Refer installation from this)
Reboot
Now go back to recovery and flash root.zip
Reboot
Enjoy
NOTE:
You need to have atleast 3mb in /system
This zip is only for ARM based devices and won't work with x86 based devices
P.S. Personally this is the best ROM to use as daily driver

Looks very much like a normal superuser or superSU install.
Very good that will work on other devices as well. I mean, ours would not have all the google apps on system. No room for one of them
The su binary is much smaller than cm-11's.
Comment, should probably go on xbin, be symlinked to bin.
Normally, superuser.apk is installed as a user app and would be updated as such from play. But may try it this way!
Great work.

They should NOT be on system/app, especially on our phones. Install from Play as user apps, let link2sd symlink them.
Anyway, flash worked like a charm! Neatly got rid of CWM's superuser, installed superSU which I will leave as a system app for now.
Note that it behaves like what I tried, spawns multiple instances of su and daemonsu (should daemonsu be symlinked to su--why have two copies?).
Link2sd played immediately. Tasker took some time. Xposed almost did not make it. Finally, after a blank screen freeze, reboot, a few attempts, got the dialog! Talking a good ten minutes or aggrivation. What is unique about how this asks for root?

Yes, it takes a bit of time sometimes. It's slow and can't help it .
So here's my suggestion, in settings, set default access to 'grant'. It's a bit faster this way

The problem is unique to Xposed. Everything else comes either immediately to quickly enough. I will post to that dev thread about this.

Shouldn't happen if the OTA survival mode is present. But ya, the only problem may be the space in /system

MUST trim the ROM. Omni is no different here, maybe even bigger.
The superSU installation wil temporarily move some stuff to make room for the root install, then move it back. However, none of that stuff belongs on system. There is not enough room for even one of those gapps. GAPPSLight is trivial and should not fill you up. In other words, trim the ROM first.

First thing I tried (with my simple daemon start method). Never came up. But up and running now, all's well that ends well.
Question: SuperSU offers to make a backup script first time the UI is exercised. Promises to survive further flashes. Does this indeed work (and ... how)?
I will copy files and edit a version of the setup script from this zip and have them available on my sdcard just in case
Modded Omni Rom
@rhar****,
I have a request 4 u. Please make a modded OMNI rom 4 us. Yesterday I flashed the Jenkins 10th march version. I can't use for more than a while, 'cause i can't install any file manager or any .apk, moreover things went wrong after i flash gapps.. But I loved it and want to hav it as a daily driver. So, if u don't hv any project / busy schedule then pls.try. Anyway 2day i will flash this build.

Smell a rat! Trim that ROM first.
Omni has it own file manager called "Documents." The CMFileManage can be installed as a user app.
BUGs on Omni -- I still am using a daily driver, though:
1. Clock FC's. Widgets appear fine (I use Chronus) but no alarms, stopwatch, wordclocks, etc.
2. GPS apparently not functioning, though location services seem to work. Some apps dependent on GPS FC.
3. Long widget, background process startup times but much better than cm-11
4. About 10 meg worth of apps symlinked by link2sd will be un-symlinked (more probably dereferenced) on start up. Easily cleaned up every few starts. Make sure to recreate link2sd build scripts freshly, reboot after new flash or internal storage mishaps worse than this.
5. Will usually get a wait message on system on startup. Everything works anyway, just open home screen and dismiss.
Those dl builds are genuine "nightlies," scheduled, regardless of whether or not any changes made that will be noticed.

For time being, to install any apk, get a file manager. If you cant, then from Documents, navigate to the apk and hold on it. It will be highlighted. Now copy it and from documents' side panel (swipe from left) go to Downloads and paste it there. Now go to Downloads from app drawer and install from there.
The root is working pretty fine. I tried a lot of times. Sorry to say it now when maybe a week passed, but I forgot to comment. Omni seems to be a good project. And this is the first taste of omni and kit kat, so doble pleasure.

Xposed Xhalo will work in cm-11 but not in omni! Omni takes the window's flag for ... its own multiwindow. So ... where is that?
Xposed multiwindow (its own UI) might work in omni or alongside halo or xhalo ... uses a different flag to avoid the conflict.
In any event, Xposed might be the best way to get these things.

Hi rhar****,
I sucessfully flashed the root.zip into my device(Samsung Galaxy Tab2 10.1 GT-P5110, OMNI6.0.1 based on Android 6), but the SuperUser couldn’t work without a binary file.
The screenshot is in Chinese, it said that ‘The SU Binary file is not installed, and it can’t be downloaded and installed via SuperUser. If you just upgraded to Android 4.3, go to the forum and download the binary file, then install it manually. ’
Can you please offer me the binary file? Or give me an URL?

I am waiting on the latest update. Then going to make a prerooted system.img with SuperSU and file manager. So you guys can delete whatever you want. Battery life is good. Going to tweak the kernel and get little more out of are devices.
Imagine that: Synapse or Kernel Adiutor on our Watch
Kingroot seems not working for me

It seems, it installs an app, but I do not think I have root.
Anyway, Kingroot is only chinese, I cannot read anything.

???do you have USB debugging on also
it seems there is a new app in system.
Just found out using adb.
But I cannot see a new app on the watch.
I cannot get adb in root working, should be adb shell adb root or su.
And I cannot uninstall system apps using adb uninstall or pm uninstall.
I wanted to get rid of Jawbone on the watch as a test.
For me it seems this app isnt working.

Don't get rid of jawbone.. People are known to have problems.
Plus I will make a video later for you.
Same problem, KingRoot installs "KRhelper4PC" or (something like that) to my watch but there's nothing to open. ADB is definitely allowed on the watch, it asked for permission to connect to my computer and I set it to "always connect to this device". ADB shell lets me do some basic file exploring on the watch, but su doesn't work.
Are you guys on the latest update. I haven't updated my device yet to see if it works still.

I am, hopefully they didn't do anything to block root!
Going to try and keep this short, sweet, and to the point.
I modified and created a zip for personal use all the way back to my Nexus 5 days and through my N5X use. I like my ROMs extremely minimal. Removal of media files and applications that I didn't deem necessary to have. Even went as far and told the script to remove the stock launcher and replace it with Nova. This little guy worked wonders for me and saved me loads of time. My app drawer (on initial start up) only consisted of the essentials; phone, contacts, messaging, a file manager, and Google Play. Only leaving the rest to be downloaded as needed.
----------------
Since ROMs aren't abundant yet, I'm deciding to share my zip to those who actually want to remove system apps and not settle on them just being disabled. Also, to keep from going into a file manager after every OTA/update removing each app individually.
-----------------
Had to modify this little guy to work on our phones.. It took me a bit to figure out (of course, right? Nothing is 'straight forward' with these phones )
-----------------
1.) I use this for personal use but did take some consideration in other users so majority of what I don't use is still there, this list would be a lot longer (and yes, some apps are for my older phones and didn't feel like removing them from the script).
2.) I will not remove an app from the removal script - if you don't like whats being removed, don't flash the zip.
3.) If I have forgot something that comes on the phone that CAN be downloaded from the Play Store (and can not be uninstalled), let me know. I'll add it to the script.
4.) If apps you are currently using are in the removal script, don't worry. The script makes them a user app instead of a system app (in my case it did anyway).
What's removed: :highfive:
*Clock (Google)
*Maps
*YouTube
*DownloadProviderUi
*HTMLViewer
*Calendar (Google)
*Drive (Google)
*OmaDmclient
*Photos (Google)
*Gallery2
*BasicDreams
*Calendar (Google)
*GoogleJapaneseInput
*Chrome
*CMFileManager
*Email
*Exchange2
*Galaxy4
*GooglePinyinIME
*Music2 (Google Music)
*NoiseField
*OpenWnn
*PhaseBeam
*Gmail
*Videos (Google Movies)
*KoreanIME
*OpenDelta
*Launcher3
What's added: :victory:
*Google stock bootanimation (black background with no text!)
*1 additional ringtone
*2 additional notifications
*4 additional alarm ringtones
Installation: :silly:
1. backup your ROM (there is no 'undo' button, so if you want whatever you want back, do a restore)
2. flash through TWRP (do not wipe cache/dalvik unless you want to get stuck on the Google logo - a hard power reset solves that problem anyways)
3. reboot
Download: :good:

Again, you all are on XDA for a reason and know the risks of modifying your device in any sense. Since everyone else does this, I'll do it too:
I'm not responsible for your device.
For those that are having force closing issues on certain apps, enabling immersive mode within apps seems to fix the problem..
Things you need:
You need Android Terminal Emulator in the Play Store or cmd on Windows
i would prefer to do this from a PC so you can copy and paste the commands, but it can be done with any terminal emulator also.
Step 1: Connect your phone to your PC enable USB debugging mode
Step2: Open up cmd in Windows or the emulator on your phone and copy/paste or type:
- adb shell
itll give you a '$'
then copy and paste or type:
- settings put global policy_control immersive.full=apps,-com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox
should enable automatically.

Version/update doesn't matter..
Corrupted as in how?
I still use twrp 3.1.1. Beta 2
Corrupted as in it won't let me boot up into the OS. It's with other mods too
So far I've received an issue from a user on here (youll be able to read their issue on the last page) and i assume its user error due to me not having any issues at all..
My question is - has anyone else tried this script with complete success?? Given the 'thanks' i received, im assuming (again lol) that its working fine. In my experience on XDA, people only comment on whats wrong, and keep quiet when things are running as they should.. I'm now asking to voice your success just for reassurance for me
let me know guys, thanks! :good::fingers-crossed:
Just wanted to confirm that the debloat script works on the Feb update.. Just did it myself :highfive:
However, I did have a couple force closes on the Google app and Twitter (weird) -- after some testing, i got it working by enabling 'settings put global policy_control immersive.full=apps,-com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox' again
After I enabled that again, everything functions fine. :good:
Maybe this is needed for some apps that force close after flashing this debloat script (if you like immersive mode in apps)..
I'll post instructions in the 2nd post on the first page
Hey, thanks for this! Any chance of an update to April release?
