Thanks for this - exactly what I was looking for - and thanks for including volume wake.
Quick question - will My Verizon still work (since you removed bloat)?
Edit: and not to be a bother but would it be possible to post md5's for all three files? (Scratch that - I see there are md5's for each file on the download site) :good:

I'm already on 4.03 and have amanra flashed. Can I just flash the OTA-Global-plus file or do I need to redo some of the initial steps?

I'm in the same boat and would think we need to just flash the rom file. I will be flashing this later for sure but need to step out for an hour.
If your already updated to global firmware just flash the Rom.

Runs very well and its nice to have this debloated. Couple things I noticed. The battery % bug is present. (30% will show but its actually off by 6%). Is there a mod to remove the battery percentage since from the battery since it's wrong on lower percentages? Also the contact pics seemed kinda fuzzy in htc people widget which were not the case on the OTA. Thanks for the rom.
I am s off, ran the recent global firmware update and Rom for a moment from another thread, then switched to the venom Rom.
Wanting to give this a shot...Is the kernel also in the Rom file or just in the firmware pkg in op ?
Just figured I'd ask and possibly save me a step. Thanks.

It's in the rom zip, I already had my firmware updated, I was able to just install the rom zip and I was good to go.

I've noticed I get a blank space on the notification bar where the GPS cross hairs would normally be.
Overall this rom has been running good for me.

More options to consider?
A couple of more options that people seem to like in non-ICS ROMS.
1. APM
2. Recent Apps
Really enjoy the ROM as is but, as any developer will tell you, users are never satisfied.
I think the point of this rom is to keep it close to stock, give the other devs time, they'll start updating to the latest base.
What about using boot manager so I can switch roms? I don't care for stock that much but when I travel it would be useful

So I did exactly as the steps said but my phone freezes on boot. Great....

Hi Here is a Odin flashable system.img.ext4, it is based on the AT&T Galaxy Note Stock rom. There is not a kernel included with the rom, I would suggest flashing either the rooted stock kernel from Da_G or even better flash his super awesome overclocked kernel. For now, there is only an AT&T version....I need some system dumps from the Rogers and Telus versions in order to make roms for them. If you have one of these phones and are willing to help out send me a pm. If you would like to test my beta versions, come on over to IRC and hang out with Da_G and I there will be plenty of stuff to test.

How To Install With Odin:
First...use winrar to unzip the .7zip rom file, inside you will find a pda-xxx.tar file
Da_G said:
You may need the USB Drivers available here. (Support & Downloads for SGH-I717)
Once the USB Drivers are installed, power off the phone, then hold volume down and power it on, you'll get a screen asking you to hit vol up to continue, do so. This puts the phone in download mode.
Stick the provided pda-xxx.tar in the PDA box of Odin3 1.85, flash away!
Note that this will increase your flash counter, which is presumably used by Samsung as a reason to decline warranty service (not aware of any reports of this occuring yet...?)

Yes, it does mean you don't have to push the libraries OC at 1.83 should be stable for most everyone and have pretty decent battery life. Let me know if the tar flashes ok with Odin, I am on linux and can't test it myself.

In post one I suggest you do a factory reset after flashing, that will wipe all of your internal data. You do not have to do a factory reset after flash, but if you don't do one I you may have bugs and no support from me

Extract "TPC_Note_Att_v1.7z" using a program like winrar.
Out comes a file that should be named "pda-odin-system.tar" that is 790 megabytes.
Put it in the PDA section then flash away.
Reboot should take a little longer than normal, be patient. Then do a factory reset in Settings -> Privacy
does it increase the flash counter though ?
Anyone want to post some results?

I would need:

2. /system/app/systemUI.apk
Once i theme them i could upload to OP and ppl could try them out.
Notification Background
Just curious....
Would you guys rather have a cool Animated Image in the background of the notification pull down? or would you rather have just a nice pic.
For sake of argument, lets say it didn't eat up battery any more/less, didn't create any lag, and the animation was smooth.
Give me some feedback.

2. no mobile data: try toggeling flightmode
3. app xxx is closing: manage apps --> clear app data, force stop, also try fix_permissions from recovery

(i had deleted the previous comment - i re read it and thought it may have come off a little snarky and didn't want you to have that impression)

Hmm that's interesting. I'll download from my server and flash it. I've installed this Rom,more than a dozen times just today alone. It's possible upload got corrupt. Has anyone gotten it to install?
I know if your not super cid it won't install. S-on needs to fastboot flash boot.img

It must have. CWM just gives the (bad) indication and aborts the installation. As I've already formatted /data and /system, I might as well wait for the fixed upload as I really want Sense 5.5. How did you get it by the way?
Ok cwm is going to give you all kinds of s#&t twrp is recommended. I got the base system and boot from LlabToofer the Op of maxiusHD.

Welcome! If you found yourself looking for something like CleanROM based on the new 4.4.2 OTA, then you have come to the right place. Scott has moved on to other devices, so I decided to follow along with what he started. This has been thoroughly tested by myself and others with no issues. Want stability you can trust? I have not had a reboot with this ROM, nor have any testers. For best results, please follow the installation instructions below!
About:
Stock Look & Feel
Stable
Fast & Smooth
Based on the new FND7 OTA from VZW
Features:
Rooted (SuperSU)
Init.d enabled
Busybox
DeOdexed
Bloat Removed
Wifi Tether Fix
3 Way Reboot Menu
Updated Samsung and Google apps in /System
Build.prop tweaks for performance
What works:
Everything
What doesn't:
Nothing!
Credits:
Chainfire for SuperSU
killa408shark for testing
@icedventimocha for 3 way reboot
Phil3759 for the wonderful recovery
scrosler for CleanROM
jbeitel for the 1% battery mod xml's and images
Team N3BULA - @lacoursiere18 ; @Deckoz2302 ; @fkfmfz - Because they are awesome!
Installation:
Must have recovery installed (I recommend either Philz or CWM)
Copy ROM to external SDcard
Flash the new 4.3 firmware with Odin 3.07 from the OTA found HERE!
Reboot to current ROM
Reboot to Recovery
Wipe Data/Factory reset (I always do 3x for good measure)
Wipe Cache (Again, I always do 3x for good measure)
Wipe Dalvik Cache
I recommend formatting System, Cache, Data, and /sdcard (internal memory) on first install but this may not be completely necessary as it will wipe absolutely everything. If you decide to wipe the internal memory, make sure your backups and this ROM is stored on the external sdcard.
Flash ROM
Profit!
A couple things to note:
This is built from the OTA tar. Not another ROM or the leak!
If you use a different kernel, do not report issues until you verify issue with stock (included kernel).
If you do not flash firmware with Odin and use Mobile Odin instead, do not report issues until you flash FW with Odin on the computer.
I am not responsible if you brick your phone, but of course you would know that if you are flashing this.
Of course your warranty is already voided from rooting your phone.
If you would like to use this as a base, please include me in your credits and link to this thread.
I am in general a very busy person, so I like to rely on you and other XDA members to help eachother. That is what this is all about right? I will continue to update this as I feel necessary. With my flashing habit, that may be alot
I built this ROM for my personal use and decided to share because of how well it works.
I am not a themer, so don't expect any fancy themes! If you would like to create a theme and share, please let me know and I will add it to the OP. This goes for any other MOD. I am happy to add things to the builds if they work well and you want to contribute.

Also Note: If you do not clean flash this and use an email exchange account, please remove your exchange account before flashing and re-add it after install. Otherwise you will experience FC issues.

I have not added this yet, but I will in the next build. I just checked and FoxFi on the market works great so you can still tether.

I'm up and running! Almost got to impatient during the Verizon boot but I just set it aside... didn't take long.
I can't get the WiFi to turn on.... I've seen this before and I thought flipping the Mobile Data off and on would fix the issue but it didn't work. I wiped my internal sdcard because I had too many backups. I will keep playing around with it, like I said I've seen this before I just can't recall what I did to fix it....

Duh!!!! As many times as I have done this I didn't want to be that person......... NOW I"M THAT PERSON!
I got so excited I skipped that step. What makes me feel so stupid, is I just downloaded the firmware patch with another ROM that I was getting ready to load before the ROM popped up!
Sorry, my BAD

Did you flash firmware before or after flashing the rom? Does the switch immediately go back to off or does it try to turn on and eventually go back to off?
Also make sure you verify MD5 hash on both the firmware and rom download.

Ha, now I'm up and running! WiFi, Camera, GPS Lock, blah, blah, blah I've never used NFC so I don't test that.
I like it! I will live with for a few days after rebooting a couple of times. THANKS for the ROM!
