HTC Puccini System Leak
This is a HTC Puccini/Jetstream RUU which contains the system of the HTC Puccini. This cannot be flashed yet, but porting is in progress by me and some others in this thread. If you would like to help, post here or PM me.
Details:
This is a /system leak. In /system on an Android device, the core files and the OS is stored. Data is stored in /data, etc. Basically, when porting, you port /system. It is not as easy as it looks, and will take some time. Like I said earlier, if you would like to help port post here or PM me.
Update: The HTC Jetstream has officially been announced. It is $700... on contract. Fail. You can get yourself top of the line laptops with that money. So our goal is to take this and put it on our Flyers. I will post a schedule below so you know when I am working or not.
I am not available at these times:
6:00 AM GMT -6 through 4:00 PM GMT -6. This is for weekdays only.
I am available all day weekends.
I am sorry to say but I cannot always be porting. I am only 11 years old and need to do homework, study for tests, etc. Please do not treat me like a real dev either. I am a computer geek, know Visual Basic, and a lot of other stuff so I'm not a newb, but at the same time not a a person like Cyanogen.
Downloads:
So far all we have is the leaked ROM itself, here are the links:
Mirror 1
Mirror 2
Mirror 3, 4, 5, 6.
Credits:
@Gazalan for discovering the leak.
@egzthunder1 for posting this on the main page, thanks a lot!
@the_plattypus for providing me a mirror to the file.
@Football for originally leaking it.
Everyone else I forgot.
Awesome! Something to play with

It does. I got it ported and to flash successfully last night but obviously didn't boot properly.
Yeah flashing a zip isn't the difficult part, it's the booting part
I capture the logcat on it all so I hope to go through it tonight. It would be easy if HTC would just release HC on it already.
any goodies that we see with this rom?
Awesome.. HC... WOW. Devs. all ya efforts shall not end up in vain. The dreams of flyer's owners shall come true. I guess is the beginning of a new Era making FLYER the Multi-tablet just like HTC HD2.

Wow! Can't wait... Puccini ROM ported over with ATT bloatware removed and rooted? Yes please!
To remove the bloatware isn't difficult.
But to port it is damn hard, because the puccini has another chipset than the flyer...
So far every time I download and open it it says its a corrupt zip.
I follow the flyer/express threads to check out whata foing on and see if there is anythong useful for my evo 4g express port. I can post a mirror of the puccini if ya'll want. Filefactory isnt the most stable to download from. I also have the system files deodexed, android kitchen 1.7 on my windows machine wont deodex it. Let me know. I wilk start it just in case

That is true, but it is close enough to not be a big deal. All apps will resized themselves except the HTC sense apps like messaging and dialer and mail...

Doedexing etc. is not important at the moment at all. We have to get it booting first. Otherwise you can't use a deodexed rom.

HOW DO YOU INSTALL?
1. Download ZIP on link below(Extract on your desktop). If you download to phone directly, you still need to extract to a normal folder.
2. Contained within is 2 files.(voicetalk.apk & libsvoxtts.so)
3. Place voicetalk.apk in system/app with "Root Explorer" or like(Use Mount R/W and set permissions by holding voicetalk.apk to see sub-menu). Make sure to make permissions as "rw-r--r--".
4. Now place libsvoxtts.so on /system/lib.
5. Reboot *****NO NEED TO CHANGE build.prop such as with others.
6. ENJOY, then ask funny questions to it.

I have it on my prime. Works decently but I can not do anything because I get a server error every time. The general consensus is that it will only listen to Samsung devices but I have heard that non-Samsung devices work. Don't know.

Works fine on my Evo3D. Nothing impressive, but it does work.
Well it did work till Samsung heard of everyone using their app before the GS3 even released and made some changes so that it now only works on the GS3. I believe you can edit build.prop and get it to work, but honestly not even worth the trouble until we get an updated version that is more capable...

its really no hassle at all, OP edited w/ details. change 2 things, back up is made automatically, reboot, done. if there are issues, delete the new build.prop, reboot.
and "more capable" of...? I would only trust S-Voice/Siri with so many things before they became too important to trust them to do
Someone with a pre-ordered LTEvo report if thus works on the phone

Works just fine on my pre-ordered rooted LTEvo. The reason why its giving you guys the "Network Error" is because the initial ripped version of this app was not signed. There is a Signed .Apk for this app somewhere in the forums which would work "flawlessly". If incase its still messing up then fixing the permissions should do it.

Until it gets refined I would say its just something to mess around and show off if an Apple fanboy comes along and still tries to showoff siri. I think the woodchuck test would be enough to prove them inferior, YouTube it if u aren't familiar

Are there any ICS skins available for Sense 4.0
Nothing but stock that I can find. I think it will take some time. Also, I don't know if there are tools out yet. I actually want to take a stab at it myself, so I tried to get set up with Eclipse and the OpenSense SDK, but had trouble getting the SDK to download. Not even sure if this would give me what I need either. If anyone with more knowledge on theming Sense 4 reads this, anything you can share would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Yup, I do have one, and from what I've read, SDK manager should prompt me for those credentials, but instead, it just gives me an error, "peer not authenticated". Their are others out there having the same problem, some able to solve it, and some not. I went so far as to completely wipe my dev env and set it up from scratch, but to no avail. I'm kind of out of ideas at this point, but I'm going to keep researching and trying to fix it. Do you happen to know if the OpenSense SDK gives you any tools for making skins? I'm guessing that if mayfield and knightwolf didn't mention it it probably doesn't, since these guys are seasoned themers, but who knows...

Just a thought - what about a precompiled binary kernel module?
I know that's how proprietary drivers are handled on desktop linux... EG, nVidia's original display drivers were distributed as a binary....
Is it possible to get a ti-wlan.o (or whatever it's called) from HTC (or from the official release) and use it in CM?

I dunno, haven't seen 'em around these parts, but if all a dev needs is a device, he/she promises to commit to the job and is the kind that actually produces the work, I don't see why we couldn't dedicate some of the bounty hasoon has been working on to get 'em one.

Phone is pretty awesome IMO, if the likes of the g2x that worked without driver source could make it as far as it did, I don't see why ours with some reverse engineering and wrappers can't, it'll just take the right motivation and effort to get the people capable of that to help us.
Yeah... u guys are pretty awesome with the development work we have so far.... The only think keeping me from selling my phone actually....

but in all honesty, by the time our phones get CM10 or any jellybean update, there will be two more lines of phones from htc out, and probably the next nexus phone, and probably another line of Samsung phone, IF WE ever get a true AOSP or AOKP, ICS or JB....good luck without drivers and lack of support from HTC.

I did some digging, and found page from today that stated that the Ubuntu Touch has been successfully ported to the Fassy.
According to the page, wifi and camera work, and that's all we know for know
I ported it awhile back, nothing too interesting, which is why I never posted it. Camera and WiFi work, etc, but the os is so limited you can't really do much with it.

Link to Ubuntu touch for fascinate:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2366601
I don't know why, but I seem to be having trouble installing Ubuntu on the fascinate.
I flash the first zip (cm10.1 unofficial) and it reboots me into clockworkmod recovery with an ubuntu logo replacing the cwm logo
when I flash the second zip (saucy blahblahblah) it shows an error for the zip file. I tried downloading both files multiple times and the same error happens.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
