i cant use the (app) that fix the pink spot camrea prob. durrin the installin it says this app not suitable for ur rom im using stick rom 1.66.415.9
sorry for my bad english guys
You are already using an up-to-date ROM. This patch/fix has already been applied and you should not face any pink TINT issues. If you're talking abt a pink/red SPOT on your photos, it may be a stuck/hot pixel or something.
thanx for reply guess u r right
I have just updated to the same ROM and the pink spot returned again. The fix also says that ROM is not compatible. It seems that they have forget to fix the problem in the new rom.
I searched the forum and since I can't post in the dev section I am posting here. I've been using ICS passion since v7 but didn't really notice until v9, whenever I go into the camera I can't zoom in. I looked online and have seen pictures of the sliding bar to zoom but I don't see it anywhere. I also tried using the volume rocker but that only turns up my ring volume. Is this a problem on ICS passion or just me? I am uploading a couple of screen shots to show the issue, (sorry they're kinda dark but I have all the lights on in the room).

As far as I know, there is no zoom feature in ICS Passion as of v10.6. That's something I hadn't really noticed until you brought it up. The only thing I did realize is if you try and change the size of the picture, the APP FC's. Also the effects don't work.

I get the same FC if I try to change the picture size. I did notice that if you go back to the camera app it changed the size however.
Thanks guys I thought it was only me having the issue
hi all,
when using the browser in "heavy sites" it just isn't smooth(desktop view in facebook for EXM) .
there is a big lag between you swipe on the screen to the moment it acutually moves.
if you first touch the screen for a moment and than moves, the movment is instantly. i'm pretty sure it's a matter of some definition not something big.
it is pitty, cause this rom is great at everything but this point.
it's the same on every CM9 build i've been on.
allways full wiped before flashing
please help

help please..
does anybody has the same issue?

The browsers don't have much RAM space on mobile phones. So they have to move some stuff (final rendering, Javascript engine ...) away to have the capability to move around on a website with very many HTML elements (such as Facebook)
Jellybean makes it a lot better, if you're a friend of living-on-the-edge then I recommend trying it out.

I've noticed the grey screen on Siyah 5.0.1, I've tried CM10, and Dorimanx 7.26 but I still get a grey screen.

Hey. It seems like the "new" 4.0.4 (4.1.B.1.13) is available through Vodafone. I've just updated my phone and here are my thoughts.
1. The notification led problem hasn't been fixed.
2. There's no new kernel.
3. It's a bit smoother than .587. (Actually it's not. Just placebo.)
4. The touchpad responds better. (Placebo)
5. The dialer is much faster.
EDIT:
6. I'm disappointed in Sony. I've waited so long for this update and it's a pile of t****, slow and buggy. If you're still on GB, stick with it, don't "update"!
EDIT:
7. Sony, are you playing us? Video recording still laggy, audio output is still mono.
EDIT: According to CTCaer the only real change is related to WiFi libraries. There's also a new baseband which might also solve some signal issues. That's all folks! Don't expect better overall performance.
Download: http://d-h.st/WcP
Note. Vodafone branded. Contains carrier bloatware.
Some screens and Benchmarks.
still same pathetic mixed ui
What other changes? more screenshots please)) there is a problem with the network mode?
i'm still curious about what did they update actually. kernel is still the same exact kernel as .587, bit by bit.
if notification led and buggy video record with stabilizer on haven't been fixed, what is the change then?
btw i can see the baseband is .85 now.

seriously? then what's the change? why this firmware?
Total waste of time. Going back to my sweet ginger because this update is a total fail. Also, this is totally my last Sony phone.
Whether switching of a mode of a network (2G/3G) after reboot is corrected?

Did they fix network mode resetting?
Did they changed, added, removed any widgets?
Is there still double "Fun & Downloads" widget?
Does "media shortcuts" widget still takes 4x2 grid instead 4x1 which is proper?
Is WiFi coverage still as weak as before?
Is app drawer still laggy as before?
Is overall experience still cluttered and choppy as before?
Is gaming still "mission impossible" as before?
I guess it will take some time to answer all this, but we're not rushing anywhere. Take your time.
this is like they mock us -.-
they releasing new firmware with no noticable changes

5,6,7) It's still full of lag. Homescreen switching is slow and choppy, the app drawer is the same. Video recording laggy and mono sounded. Gaming is laggy, for example, Temple Run lags, same as on .587
As for the rest, I can't tell for sure. Once I saw how bad it runs, I switched back to GB.
What's the change except numbers then?
thank god this is xda, custom rom and kernel beat the hell out of oem stock rom.
but at least they tried.
well try again next time, sony. try harder
sony just change number >>>
Why they release new firmware when there is no change?

Oh yes. There are some changes. Updated system apps like: Gmail, Maps, Play Store. And that's pretty much it.

I was sarcastic. They might have made changes, but who knows? There's no noticeable change! It still has the major problems .587 had.

Like I said before on several occations, Gingerbread is light year ahead of this half-finished ICS wannabe.
In everything - period.
Beside fanciness and somewhat wider choice of apps, which will appeal to "up to date" type of users.
But everything (important) else is on side of GB really. Usability, performance, rock solidness, stability, gaming, etc etc...
As for me, I'm sick of waiting for something to happen, and then being slapped in face harder than before, over and over again.
I was using (torturing myself) ICS in last few weeks just for trying to make myself to like it, and hoping that new update will make it usable finally, but now...
I'm going back to GB for good, at least with this phone. This ICS experience made me appreciate GB even more than before. So, dear fast and usable GB, here I come. I'm sorry I ever left you.
