Every word is marked as misspelled? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

Sorry in advance for all my grammar errors. I rely heavily on spell check usually
Anyway, I installed a new rom. Everything works except it is marking almost every word as misspelled.

Look at that. Its driving me crazy. How can I fix this?
It would probably help if you knew what rom, its seraslim I believe (something like that!) Its burn The Collective. I'm normally better at remembering names of roms, but its getting late and I'm a bit out of it!
Thank you got all your help, I really appreciate it!

Have you tried installing a different kb? Or did you restore any system apps?

wipe data and cache for the keyboard in your system app drawer....then reboot.
If no changes, use a different keyboard, as you may have a language conflict with the rom...
Have you read through the OP thread from the developer ? they often have the bug reports and fixes there..
thats all I've got....good luck to you,.....g

Excellent choice !!
keyboard fixed....LOL

Droid Razr Maxx HD - Jelly Bean (Verizon)
I had the same problem and this is what worked for me.
Go to Settings -> Language & input -> Spell checker (Settings)
It should say Android spell checker (AOSP)
Click on the settings icon and uncheck "Look up contact names"

I have the same problem here, using stock keyboard on the Grand X Pro, always auto-corrects me

err.. I've just ported the danish keyboard from the ROM you gave me-- it's the same look as above but the "ae" and "o" is switched that's the only difference
well if it is the same letter and so forth, that would work for me..

Here you go-- but you will need to select it everytime you will be resetting. Select 'Tastatur' on 'other input method' selection of your SIP. I can do it permanently but only to my ROM as the permanent fix varies from one ROM to the other

Veiwing Sinhala webpages on Neo V

Apart from me I know there are not much Sri Lankans online here in XDA forum, but hope this will be useful to someone who is searching how to do this
Today I'm explaining a simple trick to add Sinhala,my native language to phone & with this now we can view websites with Sinhala language on our phones.

}
Phone must be rooted.Copy this .ttf file in rar to system\fonts, replace with Root Explorer & reboot. Now pages with Sinhala is readable
Credits go to Kalinga for creating this font
While the method you've described will work, it will wipe out support for other glyphs in Droid Sans Fallback.
Either adding the glyphs to the default font (using a font editor to add the missing glyphs) or using a FULL copy of Arial Unicode MS (over 22 MB) would be better, which should be relatively simple to obtain.
You never know what languages other Sri Lankans might need to view!

Here main languages spoken are Sinhala,English & tamil. All works fine so I don't think it will be a big problem.

Xperia Japanese Keyboard

With the new firmware Sony rolled out in the past week they took away the Japanese keyboard.
I actually used that and would love to get it back as IMO it is the best on android. Does anyone know where to get it from?
are you sure? I still have it, when the keyboard shows up, pull the status bar down and press "Xperia keyboard", it will show you the different keyboard options Voice/chinese/japanese.
Same with me, Xperia Japanese keyboard is gone.
yeah I am 100% sure unfortunately. Sony pushed out another release this week with the same build number

You probably want this. It's not a flashable zip so extract, copy all to /system/app, set permissions rw--r--r-- and both owner/group to 0-root. Reboot. I don't know if it's required to do so, but I'd rather reboot to recovery, clear dalvik and cache, then boot to normal.
Good luck. If it works and you want the sakura and woody skins, I'll upload them as well.
PS. Not all updates are the same. It's regional.

Thanks..But I have seen a diffrent spell checker before on cm 10 or slim bean on my old arc S (I dont remember which one of this roms was) It draws a red line under incorrect words and it was useful for me..But here suggestions are in keyboard and I don find which word is not correct.
I have found a part in settings..what it does?"Language and input>spell checker"
It shows a empty screen

This is what i get when i open the settings of the Spell Checker:

Ok so i confirm after installing Google Keyboard and Uninstalling the original Xperia keyboard, then restarting, the option to use google as a spellchecking service, appeared in the Spell Checker settings and now it works great.
