S3 T model Question - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

If I get a Galaxy S3 T-model (i900t), will I be able to root it and install the cyanogenmod custom ROM fine?
I want to also know if Optus would on the T-model (unlocked), and if there are any issues associated with doing this.
All I am basically asking is whether or not Optus would work fine with a rooted, custom ROM Galaxy S3?
Sorry if I missed anything, but I'm new to android and these forums

Custom ROM for specific devices?

Hi all,
I just received my Rogers galaxy tab '4G' (3G) and I am wanting to root, unlock bootloader and put CWM onto it. I have already done so with my Atrix 4G, and this process seems fairly easier. My question is, Are there certain ROMs specific to the 3G version? or could I load any ROM on as long as I use the right Kernel? Also are there any 3G users that can tell me what ROM they are currently using?
Thanks,
Tayshun
I'm also new to the galaxy 10.1 section. I found this thread in the development section which proved quite handy and answered my questions.

The rom they show for the 3G model seems outdated. Thats why I was wondering if I could flash a WIFI ROM as I will not be using 3G anyways.

[Q] SCH-i9500 compatibility

Hello,
I'm have a 4G LTE Galaxy Tab 10.1 (VZW), model number SCH-i905, and I want to get rooted and install a custom ROM. I just can't figure out which root methods and which ROMs are compatible with my model. Can I use anything that works for the Wifi-only model with my model?
If someone could help me out, I'd REALLY appreciate it. I want to get up and running but I'm worried to try things out of fear that I might brick my device.
Thanks a lot.
EDIT: NOT SCH-i9500, SCH-i905 is what I meant. It won't let me change the title though.
Roms are limited. With any of the ICS roms I am pretty sure you will lose cell, so no 4G anymore. There was an older HC rom, I think it was LiquidSpeed. I am not aware of any other roms that work with the sch-i905.

Help with Virgin Mobile SII SPH-D710

Hey, a friend of mine wants me to flash a custom ROM onto her Virgin Mobile Galaxy S2 SPH-D710. I'd like to get CyanogenMod onto it, but I'm open to others as well. Unfortunately, I'm not very experienced with rooting/fighting. I successfully downgraded, rooted, and flashed my Verizon Stellar to jellybean, but I can't find a good custom rom for it, so I kind of know my way around.
If you guys could point me to the right rom and a simply put guide for this phone (I don't know if I should use i900 or sgh-i777), it'd be greatly appreciated.
And unrelated, is there any hope for a Verizon S III downgrade soon?

Samsung Galaxy S II GT-i9100T Rooting

Hi.
My apologies if a similar thread exists, I am new to the XDA Community.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S II GT-i9100T from the Telstra network in Australia that my dad gave me because he didn't need it anymore.
I'm having an issue because the memory card slot is broken. I need to root the phone so I can load all of my personal things like music etc on to the phone.
I'm just not sure how to root it. I am running the latest version of Android on it, Android 4.1.2 with TouchWiz UI installed. It is a vanilla install of Samsung's Android.
Thanks guys, Alpha.

Just download this kernel and flash it in stock recovery. Then reboot

samsung s5 smg900f andiod 6.0 -first time noob-

Hello XDA!
Thanks for making this forum, this is my first post.
I am definately a noob.
Problem: I want to install a non-bloatware custom rom.
Hardware: Samsung Galaxy S5 sm-g900f Android 6.0
I am in the U.K. and the phone is "unlocked on all networks", meaning it will take any sim card.
I have not moded the phone myself in anyway.
I have not unlocked the bootloader,
nor installed a custom recovery.
I dont know if I need a new kernal?
Is there anything else?
So I havent installed a custom rom yet.
Q1: what steps need to be done in what order?
Q2: Exactly what info do I need from my phone?
