no port is needed, they just need activating. But no point till a final product is made as it means going through the prosess every time.

so if we activate it . iit actually works¿
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda premium
yeah it works on activating
but we already have hardware buttons for simulation..
so activating those would take up space on our screen and for keyboard things i really don't think its worth including

I dont see any reason why we need those nav keys on a very small 3.0 inch screen.
Many users have complained about their damaged hardware buttons, so this is certainly a solution.

Ok, a reason? could be. But what if your buttons like the physical menu button is now useless or brocken.. how would you even flash a .zip on a recovery then? will this on screen nav buttons help you?

Same! I could think of so many what ifs... What if your screen was cracked, what if your fingers are too big for the on screen buttons

On the AT&T One we didn't need a kernel for a this mod, it was a simple prop build edit.
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
All I did was post the resource to get the mod. I didn't create it .Evidently one option if. It the only I know of is this kernel which is purely aroma installer stuff for the mod.
If there's another way clue me in please.

Go to Settings > Accessibility >Assistant Menu and turn it on.
You will get a box on the screen, click it and there are few options including one to capture screen.
