Had some free time today and for the sake of esthetics decided to switch the kickstands on a black and a white LTEVO. Mine is the black one on the right. Trying to decide if I want to go white with a red kickstand.

You can also switch out the surrounding piece for the camera to incorporate the red ring onto the white phone.
I work at Sprint as a technician too however I used the black screen and the Black kickstand as well as the camera cover.

Also, it looks like you've already switched the camera bezels, how much of a pain in the ass was it? It looks like you could just cut the plastic tabs off the back and then put a dab of super glue on the back to hold the new one on.
Not gonna lie, an all-black Evo LTE with a silver, or better yet, brushed aluminum kickstand... Yeah, that's sexy.

That sucks. I know we've got one or two white ones, but i'm off today. I hope they're still there when I get back tomorrow. I get the feeling we will be doing a lot of exchanges because these phones are smarter than some of the people that try and operate them...

man I hope we can get the all black, that was my only complaint about the evo 3d on sprint, the ugly ass red ring. If I can at least order a all black back cover. I'll be good to go.
you may just be able to use some RIT dye to make the ring color black depending on the material.

I just noticed that on the all black dev phone there shutter/ camera button isn't there or is different from the other 3d's, so is the 2d/3d toggle switch
The camera lenses are different as well. One is yellow/gold and the other is gray/black. Those two details combined might mean they did a redesign into this new look. I like it, personally.

I don't think it was ever in the design...unfortunately. Mine EVO 4G though hasn't ever had any problems with it's kickstand. I rather enjoy being able to prop it up and watch a movie on the airplane or wherever. It even jams nicely into the trim seam in my car...so I don't need a mount.
The black and red looks better, imo. Too bad it's not red with black trim. That would be beast.

I think thy want to keep the red though. The red seems to be the Evo color. Except the Shift is blue? I think black cover will be an optional accessory.

well by doing some more research this is a leak of the device before it came to tmobile, i dont know why other websites says that it will be chipped with sense 3.5??
it is weird, well i wanna refresh your memory,
there was an event at first of this year and htc showed an amaze 4g running ICS, do you remember that, so i believe there is really something there,
plus what happend to supposedly turkey updating it to ics in JAN...

Pretty sure they just slap on blank android when they show off phones at events. They did it earlier this year when showing off the One series I believe.

No, It's a AOSP (like) launcher, I'm pretty sure they have the Sense framework baked in, notice the styling of the Notification bar, etc. This was obviously in a pre-release state, and the Sense launcher may be the only thing not dropped on it.

have you guys noticed how good the viewing angles are on this screen? look at the angle the person is holding it in that photo, I think it flys past the sensations

its actually a blue housing...it looks dark so it appears black....look closely....the only real black part is the metal stripe that covers the battery (where ours is silver)

i love the black. i went with black because i had white S3 and white/silver HTC One. but now that i have a black one, i want a white one too. hahaha
the design on the black looks awesome. plus when the screen is off, it sorta blends with the rest of the phone. real clean looking.

The way I look at it, black is a bit more utilitarian because it blends in better when watching a movie, etc. but white looks better aesthetically (in my opinion).

I'd go black....I'm getting the S4 later today but currently have the White S3....and with the white the capacitive touch buttons the light bleeds through the plastic....unless Samsung did somerhing to keep thay from happening.

i receive the white version of the phone, i'm annoyed of this black borders around the screen. I feel cheated by LG since they promoted the screen without this black borders.

I hope we never have true edge to edge as I would be worried I would catch something just by holding the fone lol. There comes a point where looks/design can get in the way of practicality.

I agree. If these bezels were any smaller then you would be making all kinds of screen touches that you didn't mean to and it would be super cumbersome to handle.
And if the on screen buttons are your concern about eating up screen real estate, just root and use that app that hides them (directed towards the OP).

I see what the OP is saying. The marketing photo doesn't have the black edge. If I liked the white phone, I would probably be initially annoyed too. You could switch to a solid black background and then you wouldn't notice it at all!
