[Q]Lock Screen Wallpaper

hahaha
So my co-worker as a prank, took a picture of himself with the front facing camera and set the picture as the lockscreen. Now I can't seem to switch it back to the default since it only allows pictures to be selected out of the gallery. Any suggestions?

Not properly it seems... opps
No need to come across as rude
Take a picture of yourself on his phone and put it as his lockscreen. Then people will start thinking you two are lovers. xD
Jokes aside, when you long press a home screen, and you click wallpaper, you don't get like gallery, live wallpaper, wallpaper gallery? Doesn't picking a picture from say, wallpaper gallery, change the lockscreen wallpaper also? Excuse me if i'm wrong or you don't have a wallpaper gallery/live wallpapers.
Home screen > menu > wallpaper > gallary.
Choose the default red wallpaper, but press the portrait symbol. It will ask you if you want to use the wallpaper for the lock screen as well.

Rooted Helps.
If you want to remove Lock screen File Then,
You can use root explorer to delete the lock screen file in the system by :-
(i) search for (lock) or (lockscreen) in root explorer home.
(ii) then select the lockscreen image file present in the system search and delete it.
Don't forget toggle {mount as r/o}.
And when you remove the lockscreen file it will automatically turned to default or original lock screen.

Different lock screen

Are there any ways to install another lockscreen but not by using apps (making them native, I don't like the way it works in widgetlocker app). I have root, CWM and so on
To be honest I want puzzle lockscreen like it was in Vibrant.

But unfortunately this is still an app superimposed to the original home screen or lock screen (which sometimes appears...)
Also the notification bar remains visible!
Original lock screen can't be actually replaced, but only hidden.

That's why I dont like those apps.
And why are there tons of lock screen in Vibrant Roms/i9000/Captivate and difficulties with i9100? What is the principal difference?

Besides home button unlocks the screen. Even with enabled and disabled notification bar.

+1 on that!! I hate the lockscreen so much, I'm using AntiLock to disable it. Apps like WidgetLocker or RippleLock are no proper alternatives because they either unlock with the home key, or have 5 seconds limitation, show the Samsung lockscreen underneath and such.
Just like you, I wonder what's taking devs so long to come up with alternatives. Why is it more challenging on this phone than others?
Guys,
I'm using WidgetLocker and enabled the Root Helper option, and also disabled the default Lock Screen. (In Advanced menu) and also checked Disallow WL suspend.
With these setting the defualt screenlock is only displayed for 1-2 sec when I restart the phone. but that's all.
Previously I also encountered the problem that I had to unlock the WL and then the stock one but now only WL is running.
I don't like lock screen in widgetlocker and in gingerbread itself. I like puzzle one or the one from ripple lock, but it doesnt work properly

[Q] Can't change lock screen in the first place?

I've scoured the internet for hours, still no answer.
I have Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0, and I want to change my lock screen so that it isn't just what the home wallpaper is. This is what I do:
Gallery->picture I want->menu->more->set as->lock screen wallpaper
I'll then size the picture, and select, "save". Then the player says that it is setting the wallpaper and then the window goes away. I assume that means it's set it. However, when I go to the lock screen, nothing has changed.

Have you tried using different lock screens? When I tried that it didn't change my pattern lock background, but it did change when I switched to the default 'swipe glass to unlock' lockscreen.

That worked! Thanks so much!
I really wish I could use my pattern lock with it, but hey, I've got nothing to hide.
Dude, you probably should of left it alone! Some of us have done it, but there is a bug where there is no option to change back to homescreen wallpaper! This means you can't have a live wallpaper on your lockscreen, but I don't like live wallpapers anyway so Im okay.

sounds like a widget. longpress it and it should allow you to remove it. Or check the settings in any system information/management app you may have installed

In fact Mi A3 by default do have the option to have different wallpapers for home screen and lock screen, you don't really need a 3rd party launcher for that.
Just long press on your home screen and select wallpaper, after choosing your desired wallpaper, press the check mark (Set wallpaper) on upper left hand corner, then you'll be prompted to choose an option of "Home Screen", "Lock Screen" or "Both".

Good evening.
Earlier on the option window did not appear.
The wallpaper just set immediately after I press the check mark above.
Thank you.
