Im on the retail.en.EU leak and i noticed the some of the apps disappeared from the app drawer, specifically play books and play movies.
When i checked titanium backup they were frozen, along with flash removal 4.0.4.
I don't really care that they're frozen since both apps are useless here in my country, I was just surprised that the apps were frozen w/out me knowing. Does Google have control over this?
Anybody else experienced this?

I have downloaded soundhound infinite and all I want to do is get rid of the pre-installed soundhound app. I am fully rooted with s-off and I know apps are stored within system/app/... but soundhound is not there? I went into the settings app and went to soundhound and there was data stored for it, so I deleted the installed updates, now the icon is there and when I tap it, it does nothing. please help me it is very annoying to have an icon that does nothing on my phone, that I cant get rid of. I know the soundhound app is called com.'something'.fremium but it is definitely not there.
I've never heard of SoundHound being built into a stock/custom ROM but I bet that you could either uninstall it if you find the app under: Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>All
OR
You could try freezing the app through Titanium Backup or another app that can be used to freeze system apps.
the problem sorta solved itself, LeeDroid released a new update today and when I flashed that update the problem was solved.
I noticed all of the Apps I had frozen and Removed from market entry are showing back up in the market for updating today. I use Titanium Backup to freeze and remove from the market list and I have even unfrozen and refrozen them but nothing I can do will remove them from the market update list suddenly. Anyone notice the same thing or is it just me.?
From my understanding, the new Play market leaves the app updating more server side than before, hence why you can't remove them from the update list.
I was wondering if anyone knew how to remove the apps listed in the "all" tab in "my apps" on the Google Play market? I have purchased apps that are listed there, but I've installed then uninstalled tons of apps. Searching through hundreds of apps that I no longer have installed is a pain.
Purchased apps use to be listed at the bottom of your installed apps, but that's no longer the case. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
We can report them in know issues
In this link Google Play support /googleplay/bin/static.py?hl=en&page=known_issues.cs&ki_topic=1319135
We can "Report this" on Deleting apps from My Apps/My Orders in Know issues
The more people who do, most will be taken into account
The more we push, the more they'll hear
Seems they've heard. Now I just have to remove a ton of apps.

Has anyone who has un-installed Google play movies and books run into any issues? For some reason TiBu will not permanently freeze these apps.
After each reboot I get the update notice from play store for them. They unfreeze after each reboot.
I'm stock but rooted
Any one? Googled but no results.
Edit: I searched again and used keyword disable instead of freeze.....
Holy crap it's on all devices running ics.
Effin bullcrap! Weird Google pluss disables no problems.
I swear Google and carriers should nit be allowed to force you to retain or use any apps. One of these days someone needs to make a bill of rights for phone users, and get it passed in congress.
Is it possible the Reason for this is so they can put Trojans and or spyware in these apps?
I don't get it.

Hi guys,
I was wondering if it is possible to uninstall the Google Play Store via Titanium Backup without having FCs and trouble after.
Honestly I use very few apps (this device doesn't allow to have many) and I would like to increase the RAM availability by stopping Google Play services. In addition, one can download the apps using the browser, so it really seems like a RAM and battery wastage.
I already tried to disable the Google Play store with Autostarts but it seems like the new version of the Google Play cannot be disabled completely. I also tried to uninstall the Google Play updates but it updates automatically again. So I was thinking to remove it completely.
Anyone has suggestions/has already tried?
Thanks in advance to everybody
Yes you can but wont increase ram much.
What rom are you on.
ALWAYS BACKUP STYSTEM APPS.
