Hi and sorry if there is allready the same question over and over again but beleve me i did a lot of search and many bootloop or stuck at boot to make a thread here...so i have a huawei device that has none development..and with none i mean none..only one chinese dude but we can't communicate with him...so we have official ics 4.0.3 but we would like to have cm9 or 10...i hurting noone to have the latest rom...so im not a dev...i dont have any knowlage over compiling and device tree etc...im asking if there is any way...to take me ics rom and port cm from desire hd that has the same cpu...is there any way to do that...i try some guides telling to delete app,framework,font and replace them by cm, i try porting with cydwin kitchen that changes the kernel..both of the stuck at boot logo..and anyway if some of you know someone that has huawei ideos x5 pro and have time and will wanna try to help us here..cos i beleve we are the only device without dev!!thanks and sorry for my english and the time you took!!

Hi.. developers! I am just hoping if you could develop cm7 based rom for alcatel ot 918? It is because there is a growing number of users of this unit here in the Philippines. I'm just hoping if you could make an experiment for this device's rom. Thanks!

u have a point. i bought it some weeks ago and as a lover of cynogenmod i plead u make one.
It would be great for this to happen, but as an older phone and one that is extremely hard (and risky) to root, from a dev's POV it wouldn't seem worth all the effort :/

In India it is sold with local carrier IDEA. They have even changed its name from Alcatel 918 N to !dea 3g Smartphone

That´s right! here in Peru and Argentina we are suffering with a stock rom made for torture us. PLEASE XDA GUYS could you help us? we know you can :crying:

sir, i'm an owner of an alcatel ot-918N unit running on stock 2.3.6 rom..can you help me with modifying my power menu, I want to add reboot, recovery and download option in it..and I'm having a hard time following some guides co'z the code differs from mine..don't know why..maybe because alcatel uses different gingerbread?can you give us a guide on adding reboot, recovery and download option in power menu for our phone?thanks sir..if there's some files you need i can try giving you the file so at least i can help on my request..thanks..

Hi! I finded one, I dont know if it is really a cyanogen mod but it is a true 4.1.1 Jelly Bean. Sometimes it lags but i think for Alcatel OT-918 it is good enought. I will post links when i will have 10 posts because i can not post links if i dont have 10 posts

Hmm I looked for a true JB rom for this phone, and all I got was a 2.3.6 custom rom that got the looks of JB. Was the rom you're talking about the ICS v5 by Mark? Unless you can point me to the real JB 4.1.1 rom, this is what I've worked with. It actually works nice, but it's still in GB.

I bought recently huawei ascend g700 and I would like to know is there any way to upgrade to 4.4 or higher? Does it have CyanogenMod 11 or some other version for this device? I have 4.4.2 on my Nexus 7 II and I'am very satisfied!

Develop a Custom ROM is not that easy, you have to find the well-known developers of the forum and ask them if they're planning to do that, otherwise you'll only have the chance to wait for an upgrade directly from the manufacturer.

I have ported cm11/12 from another phone. Touchscreen not works and that rom is useless. if anyone can fix it will be great.
