rooted thunderbolt on bamf cubed. Take pictures with camera and then try to develop, pictures come out very pixelated. I checked all my settings and I cant find a reason why this would be happeneing. Shooting at 8mp, resolution standard4:3 (should I have it set on Widescreen5:3?). Pictures appear crisp and clear when on the phone though.
Please, any ideas will be great. tired of having a "smartphone" and can't even develop the photo's that are taken on it.
Use 5.3 widescreen.
I've never run into this problem unless I used a different camera app.

I don't get it, is this a limitation/feature in Froyo or something to do with the Atrix itself? To clarify, i'm on WIFI, yet on Google+, Facebook and Min.us (dropbox alternative), all my videos and/or pictures are limited to 1MP or QVGA which is terrible seeing as i see high quality pictures from my friends' iPhone 4's on Facebook regularly. Can i turn this off somewhere? The native camera app lets me capture 5MP and 720p video though, and i've checked the settings so why is it limiting me even though i'm uploading via WIFI? I'd understand if it was to do with 3g, but wifi? Any way to fix this?

That's what i ended up doing but i was just wondering, with all the android customisation, if it was possible to disable this? Is this a limitation of Android or applications such as Facebook and Google+?

Thanks! I would've thought an extra line or two of code could differentiate between 3g and Wifi! Oh well, a little nuisance but still is nothing compared to the magnificence of the phone. Can't believe how Motorola are neglecting us Non-US customers on such an awesome phone! Compared it with a Sensation today, installed quadrant on it and it got 2100. Atrix got 2600, everything stock on both phones, BUT Atrix was on 2.2 and Sensation was on 2.3.4
i've not even CM7'ed it yet!
Sometimes when i take pictures and check them out later they are fine until i tap on them from the gallery then they get all messed up and seem to get saved that way. Here is my hurried explanation of what that looks like...On the phone they are half cut out and a rainbow of color goes where the picture crops out so the top half is fine the bottom is filled in with the cascade of color. From inside the gallery the picture loooooks fine until i tap on it then its all messed up again, if i put these messed up pictures online or save them to my computer they are still ruined. This is becoming a problem because i usually have no time to write down my schedule at work and i like to snap a picture of it which takes seconds also it happens occasionally i can take several pictures at a time and they all come out fine. I'am rooted using photon torpedo i have edited my build prop in the past for higher quality still shots but i restored the default build along time ago. Iam not able to update at the moment unless i go back to stock if that would help i would return to stock, update and root later. Anyone have this happen?
Nope.I've has my pictures cut in half tough with the rainbow bit before.greet changing the store location and see if that helps. G.l.

if storage location does not fix it, try a hard reset. I was having some issues and had to hard reset, open camera, take pic, check it gallery otherwise i would get a force close in the gallery when trying to "album" the photos. Hope this helps
I'm pretty much a lurker on here, but I've been searching and can't find any thing that helps. Here is what I got, it started with eternity 8.4 when I would take a pic from any camera app in the dark the flash would come on them the pic would take after the flash was out, and only on instagram my ffc camera would take the pic but when it would be displayed it would be blurred. I recently replaced my LCD because I forgot it was on my lap when I jumped out of my truck, anyway, I am currently running the ics leak and still have the same problem, any suggestions.. I've tried clearing cashe fixing permissions, even uninstalling the system app and reinstalling. Even went all the way back to a back up from 1-2-12.. still no go.is my camera dead?

Android 4.3 Camera Security Bug - Samsung Galaxy Nexus upgraded from 4.2.2 to 4.3 via OTA.
Anyone who recently upgraded can try and replicate this issue.
After upgrade launch the camera, try to set as default settings as you can (not sure if this matters, but try turning off the camera flash).
Use the rear facing camera, press the shutter button as fast as you can, look in the gallery. You might find that photos you previously took and deleted have resurfaced.
Try the same thing with the front facing camera.
I was able to "recover" photos taken and deleted a couple weeks ago using this method. I'm guessing that something in the software can't keep up so it finds old photos and uses them for some reason. After a few rounds of doing this, the problem went away, so maybe it cleared out some kind of cache or used up whatever leftover deleted photos there were.
Anyone else able to replicate?
Whole photos or just the thumbnail? I've had a similar thing on an archos tablet where the thumbnail is an old, deleted photo, but when you select it to display full size, it's the one that was just taken.

It was the whole photo viewed in the gallery. Swipe left from the camera app and the previously deleted photos were viewable. Tap once, they fill the screen, pinch to zoom they enlarge. I didn't try downloading them to my computer through USB. The problem went away after a few rounds of doing this and deleting all available photos, it was quite disconcerting in terms of privacy. The front camera and rear camera seemed to have their own separate caches of deleted photos as the issue happened with each independently. I ended up doing a factory reset which hopefully will be good enough. Nothing special about my device, Galaxy Nexus GSM, purchased from the play store, always upgraded through OTA, never unlocked, never custom ROMs, never rooted, etc...

viewing photo from Samsung stock camera is extremely slow, often took more then 2 sec to actually load the image (only allowed to use galaxy gallery app)
When I download Google camera, viewing image by swiping left display the image instantly and smoothly (using google+ photo app)
I want to keep using the Samsung stock camera because it's so much better then google camera, but viewing photo through camera app is insane painful
any solution?
I got the same problem. They literally take some time to load each picture. Would have though that they would open faster with the new internal flash memory as the read and write speeds were supposed to be quite fast. They said they were the fastest on the market today but obviously this is not the case when load times of each picture is 1-2 seconds.
You've said by your own.
The stock camera is much better than google camera and it has a very good quality and that means it's need more time in processing because it's better.

I don't think that is the true reason for slow load
because once u load the first image, the following 100 image will scroll smoothly
if you saying the first image need more time to load because the picture was just recently taken,
then it should instantly load if I patiently wait for few seconds after photo taken allowing time for image to save, which is not the case, the gallery still require seconds to load the first image despite waiting
this proves that it is the gallery/camera app problem instead of image quality or anything

anyone know how to reduce delay when opening samsung gallery app through camera?
or even better, change the default gallery app load through camera to quickpic ?
I tried almost all famous third party camera app, all of them are pretty bad in terms of speed and function
I don't have this problem. Mine loads quickly even if I completely quit the camera app take a picture then look at it. Believe me I know how bad it was with their previous flagship I had the Note 3 but I commend them for this.
Bump... Anyone found a solution to this? Aggravating when you want to see a picture you've taken, and it takes 10 seconds to load.... The old solution of removing 'other sources' from the Gallery app isn't possible anymore, as Samsung have removed any concept of settings from the Gallery app. Annoying!!
