This is new actually. But I am now Hboot unlocked, rooted and running 4.0 so I will not come back to this. Tks anyway for this notification...

Yes, please explain how this would work. I'm interested, but leery of the process.
I came across a guy about a month ago on craigslist that worked for customer service. He claimed that he could credit your account the full price of an amaze, gs2 or whatever phone you wanted. Then you would order the phone with the credit. THEN pay him 150 to 250 depending on what you wanted. Could be same here. Could be something else. Proceed with caution is my advice.
We should start a thread over at sensation forum for everyone to switch to the better amaze lol

I think it sucks and is stupid, but hopefully (fingers crossed) Tmobile still pushes the amaze for awhile.

Yeah I'll just close this one out.
I was looking at tmo website today and noticed that Amaze is cheaper than mytouch 4g slide. Look at the image attached. Wth? I have both the phones and as you know amaze is way better that mytouch 4g slide. Do you think this is just a mistake on tmo part or are they really trying to get rid of amaze?
Probably just trying to clear out their stock of the amaze before the one series drops

Thats what I thought but aren't they trying to clear out mt4gs as well? MT4GS might not even get ICS. Very weird IMO.
Anything the Sensation gets the MT4GS can get too by porting.
Chuck Norris can but Walker Texas Ranger can't.

Yep turns out the sales for the Amaze were pretty horrid compared to what they were expecting. Another reason why T-Mobile and HTC carry so few accessories. Not to mention all the returns from bleeding and other issues. They probably lost a crapton of money on this model =(
UPDATE: Amaze is now free with a new 2 yr contract. Mytouch 4g is at $100 and mytouch 4g slide at $200.
It will come after update of One X and One S in line with One V
I do not know where is the link but it is true. But I think it will be in the third wave because there is Sensation as well

Unfortunately, this is useless information without proof. I really don't see it happening. And I'll probably be on a different device if/when it comes to Sprint.

Who cares if Sprint release it?
HTC are the ones we would NEED to support it first.
Sprint will just bugger around with it after HTC would supply it, same as any network. If HTC refuse then Sprint can do nothing

I understand that, but we don't even have ICS source for cdma, and we are supposed to get JB? thats more along the lines of what I meant. Either way, I will probably be running a copy of it before sprint even thinks about supporting it. Love the dev's around here!

I don't think HTC will upgrade anything earlier than the one range because essentially they will have to develop two types of ROMs ...for the one series with imagesense and the rest of the range without image sense capabilities.

I truly think HTC isn't going to put the time and effort into doing the Jelly Bean update for it. And after this joke with the ICS update, do you really think Sprint is going to push it?
Now, can the EVO 3D run Jelly Bean, probably. Will we see it without rooting, no.

Hadn't seen it until you posted it. Its interesting, i don't support the service but it really shows that we can achieve S-OFF, which is awesome.

They probably achieved s-off via jtag.. so it will be a while before devs achieve s-off. Not saying they can't do it.

What exactly is jtag? I'm not a noob but I'm definitely not a dev... I also noticed the bootloader still said locked so I'm assuming they didn't have to use HTC dev first like my EVO LTE(just left sprint for T-Mobile). I'd like to keep from having to register my phone with HTC dev in case of warranty issues

Jtag is a service that can flash motherboards, they can unbrick them, root them, s-off, ect. Its only because they have the files from HTC them selves to do it. I have talked to them before in my HTC inspire 4g days.... Ide love to have an evo, 2nd best phone on the market

Ahh I see, makes sense... Too bad they won't release that to the public... I'll be selling my EVO LTE and nexus s 4g as soon as I clear my sprint account... I would have kept it if sprints data wasn't so horrible...
