wait if your trying to create an adw theme, you need to use the ADW themer's thing for eclipse.

just replace the icons and dont edit any xml file or vender name and then try. it will work...

If you have only icons then you willneed to extract all the icons in map and if it is in png you will need quickpic to apply

There is a step by step guide on the first page of the link I posted above. Explains all what you need to do. Plus if you look through the list of icon packs you will find a HTC pack for you to use.

copy all your apks from data/system. extract all of them with apktool. download the htc icons pngs.
do this for each app.
lets start with messages. go into drawableMdpi and replace ic_launcher.png with the htc messages icon and rename it the same as it used to be.
do this for every other app and you have htc icons
