We already have official CM10 support. That's what the early builds have been based off of, since the code has always been available. This just means the CM team will be cranking out their automatic nightly builds, including one for our devices. I do hope that the more device specific changes (dual battery meter, keyboard function keys, unique recovery, etc) get implemented soon.
I hope ASUS does not think they are off the hook...
YOU ARE NOT!
Hear that ASUS.
In news completely unrelated to TF201 CM10 builds coming soon... Asus has announced that they're working on a JB build and have begun testing it.

Here's the link for the official nightlies:
http://get.cm/?device=tf201&type=nightly
I flashed the CM10 build, but it won't boot.
I wiped data, cache, and dalvik.
The ASUS screen loads, but just a black screen after that.
Anyone else try it yet?
Nightly CM10 is discussed in the preview thread in android development forum.
seems to be fixed in next build according to rayman.
I am having alot of fun flashing these new roms. XDA rocks.
flashed latest nightly 0820
overall performance very smooth and stable,
but does not have keyboard dock status
i hope fix soon

Flashed the 20th Aug ROM, the BT audio streaming not working. Have to use TeamEOS ROM as that's the one I can use with my Sennheiser travel headphones...
Bluetooth Streaming
I just flashed the 8/21 version and still not able to stream via BT. I saw the post before me has the same problem. Has anyone found a workaround? I love the ROM and really need this to stream to my new big Jambox.
Banding and Google account
Loving the nightlies, one issue I have is horizontal banding. It comes up when scrolling a web page or switching desktops. Not all the time but often enough. It's fixed by setting the cpu to a constant freq.
One other thing if anyone knows how to resolve... after applying a nightly (i wipe dalvik cache) my google account disappears from 'settings' and none of my google related apps work. Play store pops up and closes auto... youtube wont log me in. etc.
Any ideas out there? So far i've had to wipe /system to get back into my google stuff.
Bing.
You need to flash the JB gapps from 7/26 for your Google apps to work. You probably still have ics apps.

I just updated my Chrome Beta from the Market... and now it's refusing to start!
I get an error message "Chrome is not supported for your version of Android. Version 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwitch) is the minimal supported version"
HAHAHA!!! What the heck! I am on ICS!!!
So be aware... do not update Chrome!
I am on CM9 A2... was working fine until I went to market... noticed an update... installed update... BOOM!!! not compatible!
I cleared data... uninstall and reinstall... no dice.
If you do a search for Chrome it shows up... installs fine... which would mean that it's supported but it's not.
So do not update to the latest Beta. Wait until Google figures out what's wrong with it first.
Damn... now I have to see if I had made a back up of the old one... Does any one have an apk of the previous builds?
Got it back!!! I didn't have a backup but my Captivate ICSSGS V4.2 had Chrome Beta... without the latest update... I got Chrome working on TP working again. Phew!!! I was starting to like Chrome a lot on my TP...

That stinks!!! I have not read that article... but I just saw a blurp on Engadget about the enhancements the new updated version brings! Why would Google want to shut down custom ICS roms!!! Open Source... wasn't that the name of their game????!!!
YEAH What the heck, I did the same thing as you, I downloaded the update and bammmm "Chrome is not supported for your version of Android"
Ohh come on...
I am so glad I saw this thread before I updated Chrome on my TP. I installed ICS on my GS2 today and saw the update. It ran fine on there (it's a "custom" ROM based on the stock rom), but when I got home that would have been the first update I ran on the TP. It's a good thing the WiFi here at the office doesn't work in CM9, else I'd be in the same boat!

Also, the fix worked beautifully on my phone as well:

It's rather laggy browser, yes. Loading time is not nice on TPm and on SGS it's nearly unusable because of the ram consumption.
By the way, it's not the Google who is breaking Chrome, it's CM9

I would think this means there is a good chance this can be resolved in the next version of CM9 then.
Not sure if any of you have run into this yet, but I am using Pocket Casts to listen to netcasts, when I shut off the screen everything keeps playing fine, however when I turn back on the screen the phone soft reboots. Does it at the same spot every time. I tried moving the netcasts to the sdcard instead of external sd as a test. Still does it...
This happens to me on both the Aug 8th and 9th build from DAGr8, But does not happen on any of the other JB previews builds. And Yes, I wiped everything
I use my phone in the car for netcast listening a ton, so this is something that keeps me from using this daily unfortunately.
Other than that, everything else seems to run great. just seems like an odd thing to reboot the phone, maybe it has something to do with the audio players and how they interact with the lock screen as they like to put up a player wallpaper thing on the lock screen...
Thanks for the Q&A!!
I can not get google now working. It hangs on initializing then cant connect. I know on jamies cm10hybrid/ jb we needed the internal kernel....DAGr8 Do you think that kernel would solve the prob? Im not sure if you use Gnow....or if you recommend using a diff kernel...( going to re read op now too)

The hotwire-internal kernel should work fine with DAG's JB rom, not sure if it'll fix your issue or not, but should be easy to test. But I don't see a kernel package from DAG if you wanted to flash back...
I prefer the hotwire-internal kernel myself as it has BLN support where as the R5S1 included with this rom i think does not? if that's important to you...

Loving the Aug 9th build except for a few issues (incl the Google Now referred to above) - the changelog states that "wake on volume" is built in but it neither works nor do I see a setting to turn it on like in other CM9/CM10. Do any of you have that?
On the kernel thing would we just flash the AOKP JB and then flash hotwire's internal.zip, then followed by JB Gapps?

I can't find that setting either.
As far as the flashing sequence, that should work although I did AOKP, JB GAPPS and just a few minutes ago flashed hotwire's internal. No issues to report.
I used to change kernels all the time on my Nexus, I would just flash the kernel whenever, no wiping. Can't hurt to wipe cache/dalvik, but no need to reflash the ROM.

Features and changelog?
I'm sure I will feel dumb when someone answers this but I could not find the feature list or changelog for JB. The AOKP site only references ICS milestone 6 as the latest. I tried following the links from the DEV thread and I tried a google search which led to rootzwiki but I didn't find anything for the Galaxy Note. I'd like to try this out but I'd first like to know what is/isn't working.
CPU Settings Do Not Stick
I have gone into the performance settings and I usually change my min frequency to 192 (max at 1566) and checked on "set on boot"- I have noticed that the frequencies do not stick at all but keep reverting to 384/1566 - does anyone else see this?

I'm assuming your building from the latest source at the time of the build or are you making any other tweaks and changes?
So this is the same as the CM10 nighties with the addition of the FJ's kernel as standard.
SO glad our Notes are getting the support they deserved.
I still it's the most amazing device ever and you just keep making it better and better.

It basically is just latest source with FJ's kernel. I may be adding in some fixes before they hit nightly though. I do realize we could all use nightlys, but I like the small community we built up, as well as the think tank of sorts. I think it's better than all going our separate ways.
just curious, will i be able to flash this over CWM touch recovery?? I tried doing quincyatt nightlies before, flashing them over CWM touch, but they fail!

Well, if you couldn't before, you probably won't be able to now either. You have two options though. You can update to the latest CWM and it should work, or you could install TWRP which I recommend. I have a link above to TWRP and the instructions are easy to follow.

Hello Kuzma,
What are the differences between your ROM and chrmhoffmann?
The WIFI stuff looks interesting.
Are you using a newer kernel?
Does CM10.1 have a lot of new goodies?
I always like to build from scratch when I notice that you and others have updated your repos, or if sufficient time has passed to see what's new upstream. Can you share your local_manifest.xml?
BTW, I've built chrmhoffmann's ROM again on Dec 13 and it is awesome again!
Thanks.
what'S not owrking on this rom ?
Tested WiFi P2P abit, pairing with SGS3.
Sometimes it doesn't want to pair, after few seconds of "invitation sent" the whole record disappears, after that the devices couldn't see eachother until I rebooted both.
I can't tell if it's GS3 or NT derping here.
Logcat from succesfull pairing: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/32145655/wifi_p2p_nt_gs3.log
I tried to send something using "Wifi Direct" app, though I failed, perhaps I'm doing it wrong. :s

Thanks.

It's a straight compile from source. No development options added yet. He is working on getting things working properly before adding things

While checking the android news, i noticed that cyanogenmod released RC1 for some devices, and when reading the article on the official page i noticed our p760 there http://www.cyanogenmod.org/blog/road-to-cyanogenmod-10-1-0
and when hitting the download page... i found actually nightly builds for the p760  here > http://get.cm/?device=p760
i don't know if this is already old news but i didn't see this on our forums :highfive:
ps: after flashing the RC1, i found a bug: no sound coming out of the speakers (ringtones, music, alarms....) this is normal for a non-stable build, but today 9/05/2013 they released a nightly build, i guess it fixes this problem
Very old every knows this ..check the orginal developement thread it is there ..

We're getting updates almost everyday. The minor bugs will all be squashed soon and we can leave stock. I'm on today's nightly and heck, I'm not switching back.

Do a backup for your current Rom, and try the latest nightly build for p760. If it works then it's great. If not... then just wait.
Try it, you have nothing to lose.
And please let us know what happens.

Have you pals noticed the RELEASE CANDIDATE 1 for P760.
http://get.cm/?device=p760&type=RC
This is RC1 build and it is more better than Nightlies and SnapShot builds. But not as good as Stable release.
THIS CAN BE USED ON P765 ALSO. Have flashed several nightlies on my P765 until last week and they work without any issue. Only sometimes BASEBAND and RIL mismatch issue. Flash on Indian BASEBAND. Only NFC feature is missing in P765 and does not give any trouble.
WARNING: DON'T USE ON P769/P768 AND P778.
Am using RC1 but when i flashed it there was no sound. then i flashed hot fix. now sound is working fine but still speaker phone dont work when on call. I dont get echo on my side but people on the other side gets echo of their voice.

Ya i have tried it . Speaker sound is fine. But still during call volume is very low.
there's a nightly everyday, which means they are working on it, and hopefully we will get a stable release by the end of Google I/O that fixes all sound issues and the 1080p recording. Google will release a new version of android this week (MAY 15/17) that's why cyanogenmod team will first fix CM 10.1 before starting to work on the next CM 10.1.X

FYI, If the changes/updates are NOT model-specific, then many CM nightlies are automatically built by bots/servers and not actually by devs. That means they dont work on it everyday on particular model. But if model/people request some special attention, devs work hard on it and test. Of course, snapshot, RC1 and Stable builds are tested by devs.
RC3 is out check first post for the download link.
I hope some of our problems are fixed in this latest release candidate.
