I can're seem to fine a launcher that doesn't lag when switching pages on the note. Anyone know of a good launcher that's ics themed?
Sent from the best phone in the world Galaxy Note!!!
I think they will al have a degree of lag. You really should consider overclocking and then pretty much any launcher should be good for you. I use adw ex and my phone is ocd to over 1700. Its very very fast. Lag is nonexistent in every way on this note now.

I'm running GO Launcher EX. I don't notice any lag, none to complain about at least.

SBH Shell looks amazing on the Note. I am still test it out.

or the Market.
I try most all of them; and then come back to GoLauncher
I LOVE Go Launcher, but Launcher pro is 100% lag free... I mean everywhere, including the app drawer runs smooth as silk and reminds me how much I love this phone!
I use lightning launcher. Its actually pretty good after you set it up and tweak it here and there. Looks much better than touch wiz IMO.
Launcherpro plus is great for me, no lag, and I can stretch my widgets to fit the note's screen

+1 ive been using LPP for a long time now across many different phones with great success
Adw is good but a little heavy. I've tried them all and always end up going back to go launcher

I use Zeam launcher. very light weight.
I know its alittle exspensive but TSF Shell is by far the best launcher on the market and couple together with our note's mega screen its priceless. I would pay the developer again lol best $16 you can spend on an android device IMHO. Plus the devs send out timely updates too. Hope this helps.

I've really thought about buying this, but I haven't really found a problem with the stock launcher that would make me want to pay that. I've tried ADWEx, Go, and LauncherPro Plus but I always come back to TouchWiz.
What are the main advantages for you with TSF Shell over stock TouchWiz?

I agree zeam is great, lightweight and fast. But I am using ashell right now because it has scrolling wallpaper. It is also pretty lightweight

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
Launcher pro runs fantastic on the phone, as well as TSF, however you will have to get used to a new way of doing things with TSF...
TSF is definitely the fastest and smoothest launcher I've ever used. It does take getting used to...I'm still not entirely lol
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
I always end up back on ADWex just because I've been using it for so long with great results and am so familiar with it. Most launchers seem to work ok with appropriate transitions etc selected.
I did get TSF launcher and am pretty happy with it. It seems incredibly smooth in the app drawer, no matter the transition. If they implement regular swiping through homescreens it may become my default. It's a bit silly with lasso select popping up every time I try to switch screens.

Hey guys..
I was just wondering whats the BEST android launcher in your opinion?
My personal favorite is Zeam Launcher. I like its minimalistic look and its blazing fast too. It does not have any fancy features and it works great.
I also like Holo Launcher. I am still on Gingerbread so the Holo Launcher is a very appealing choice for me to try out because it is an ICS launcher. Holo Launcher works great and is one of my favorite. It has a lot of cool features but for some reason.. I keep finding myself going back to Zeam.
So guys... Whats your favorite android launcher?

Yeah.. A lot of people have told me to get Apex because its the "best" launcher for android if you have ICS. Unfortunately, I don't have ICS like most people. I hope to get a new phone though then I will be able to review ICS apps as well
If you like minimal and fast, try lightning launcher. I've been using it for months on all my devices now. It's great and let's you do loads of things that are just impossible on other launchers, like freely placing and rotating widgets and icons

Hey mate... I have actually tried this and I would agree with you that it is probaly the fastest launcher I have ever seen. However, it is not for everyone because their is only ONE home screen.
It may be fast but with only one home screen... its severely limited and putting apps on the home screen can sometimes screw up the grid. You just have to a little bit careful when you are placing or moving apps. Otherwise, its a great launcher.
Thanks for reminding me about this app mate...
Why does it look like your just promoting your review whenever you can? Besides, the best launcher question has been done a thousand times.

This would make a lot of sense because Go Launcher slows down your phone and if you have a higher end phone... it should be able to handle it fine. But still... Go Launcher is a battery whore.

Hmm... it seems like an impressive app but it seems more like a homescreen customizer. It is a also a whopping $16.80 in the Google Play store... hopefully its a typo but if its not... it seems awfully high for an app.
I have been recently wondering...
What's the fastest launcher?
Lightening Launcher is blazing fast but is there anything faster??
I have purchased tsf ui .. awesomely fast but take huge amount of ram. Nearly 45mb while others take 10-15mbs.

Its a quality app. We need to be willing to pay for quality apps if we want android to evolve more. That's just a couple of coffee drinks.
And 45mb is low for an eye candy app.

45 MB is the size of the app once installed?
Thats HUGE!!! ... I am on a Nexus One and thats like a 1/3 of all the space available on my phone.
Zeam is light, minimal and yet lots of customization, very good.
Apex is also great. Go Launcher is falling behind from my point of view in comparison.

I installed and I liked it - for a day. On day 2 it started an update that was not a normal Play Store update. There were download notifications in chinese. Seems really suspucious epsecially considering where it was developed. Also the support web site is all chinese rendering it useless to a lot of people. Beware.
Guess u tried updating from the in-app update option.
I update only via google play hence did not come across this issue.

Windoss 8 style is more boring, but not bad WP8 launcher... nice:good:
Used it for about hour and restored to Trebuchet... This is good for bigger phones (screen size OFC).
Have any of you experienced a lot of lag with this launcher? I'm used to launchers like nova and trebuchet that are nice and smooth while this one seems to be choppy. I like it a lot though

Nova launcher
I initially installed CleanRom 3.5 with the Nova launcher option, but felt that visually it seemed slower to open the app drawer and switch screens, probably because of the animation? So I stuck to TouchWiz, and am pretty happy with it. I could be completely off base; I feel like TouchWiz is one of the better android skins, definitely better than sense.

I'll give it a shot. I love trying out launchers . I do wish somebody would try something radically different when it comes to launchers (not just an iOS-esque type layout).
I switch between Nova and SPB Shell 3D. This beast can definitely handle the graphics, even with live wallpapers.

I find Nova to be BY FAR the smoothest/fastest launcher there is.
I have the paid versions of both Nova and Apex. I don't even bother installing Apex anymore.
TW is OK if you don't want any of the custom options that a launcher like Nova gives you, but Nova is every bit as smooth as TW after you play with the options a little (on any ROM)
I think the new ADX launcher is amazing, a lot of cool features like widget previews, fast and all the customization. It's won me over.
This is also the first device I've used that TSF Shell is great on. Perfect size for it.
I'm curious to see what added features people are enjoying from their favorite launchers.

I've tried almost all of them. I've stayed with apex pro because it just fits for me. I recommend trying all of them and see what's good for you. If you want a million options try go launcher. Seriously, you could spend a month setting things up with all the go products

Recently bought Next Launcher 3D and holy moly is this thing fast, fluid, and smooth on our device. I was on Nova Launcher before that. I recommend either of these two.
I personally love Nova Launcher.
I got the Prime version for 25 cents once upon a time and it was a great deal. While a lot of other launchers do offer more "power" now, I find that Nova offers a great balance between features and simplicity.

You can't go wrong with Nova or Apex (they're basically the same, but some people's phones like one better than the other), but my current favorite is Action Launcher.
It can be kind of stuttery sometimes, but Shutters more than make up for that.
I've been trying a lot of different ones including Nova and Go launcher but they seem to get laggy after a few days. Been pretty happy with Atom launcher. Action launcher looks pretty neat too. Thanks for all the feedback so far, I may give Nova another go since so many people have had a good experience with it on the LGOG.

I really like Nova Launcher. I've been using it since I got the phone in November and it's been nothing but snappy. It has a good amount of options, but it's not overwhelming. I'm sure others are great too, but I've felt no need to switch.

So I've been using Nova that last few days and it's working great! Thanks for encouraging me to give it another chance.
FYI, another slick and very simple one is Smart Launcher Pro. I go back and forth with that one quite a bit. Its definitely worth checking out if you're looking for something totally different from your typical launcher experience.
