Hello All,
Can the same build.prop file be used on different ROMS? The reason I ask is that I do not get the bluetooth music stutter at all when using Cyanogenmod 9 - however this ROM still has things that don't work and bugs that make it unusable as a daily driver - namely the txt messaging bug and screen redraw issue.
Could I take the build.prop file from CM9 and use it with KA SSpeed ROM to see if it fixes the bluetooth music stuttering issue?
No, you can't.
Can't you have to port it.

Actually the same device got similar build.prop in difference rom. You can just copy and paste some which u think that they are useful or working, if u know what u're doing!

Hi! I don't know if this is the right place to post my problem or if it has been already discussed. I have created a custom rom which suits best my needs. The base is the italian lg stock rom. Everything went good except for the fact that now I have problems with GPS ... what happens is that I turn on GPS, I activate Google navigator and I must wait more than 15 minutes to get the signal. When I get it, my position is completely wrong! I didn't do anything bad when creating the rom. I used disxda's kitchen and just removed some apps to add others. I didn't touch anything else! Does anybody know what I could do to solve this really bothering problem?

i did the same as you and have the same problem. and i think it happens with all custom roms. would like to know how to fix this too
LG-P500 is in most of cases odexed, if you remove a stock app you can get problems like with gps, WiFi, contacts or others.
Odexed means, there are still dependencies in APK's - have a look in your logcat and search for errors or null pointer exceptions.

Uhmmm... well, does it mean that when you deodex the rom something goes wrong? What if I leave my rom odexed? Should this solve my problem? I've just started now to understand certain things but in some cases I am a noob! Thanks for your reply

can the kernel use on i9100g?
Try turning on bluetooth before plugging in the earphones, and leave it on during playback. Seems to work for me so far.
Lucifer_1.60uv-200Mhz Kernel, SuperROM#v3.1
Used RomToolbox to set cpu sliders to 400Mhz min., 1200Mhz max.
I know it sounds odd, but it seems to work. Hopefully this will get fixed once ICS arrives.
Since u r rooted.....
copy(merge) the audio folder provided by me to /sytem/etc
audio.rar=mediafire/?94dtkysdcht0zbf
sorry i'm a new user so can't put a url......
I'll recommend Root Explorer app to copy the folder.....
Firstly, Dont use idiotic topic titles like "help", Use proper titles the describe your topic.
Second, this is a development forum you have absolutley no business creating topics in here. If you want to ask a question do it in the QUESTIONS forum.
Third, If you need support about a specific rom do it in the specific roms thread.
Its all pretty much common sense really.
Tried the Codeworkx Kernel. This one.
[KERNEL][GB+ICS] ClockworkMod Recovery 5
Only tested for an hour or so, but thus far no crashing and not even a single hiccup. Seems very promising but need to test for a couple of days before saying it´s the full cure.
Lost the screen lock, but I think this will be fixed in an update.
Far as I´m concerned if the earphone bug is fixed, and lock screen is okay I might not even need ICS at all.
CM7 NIGHTLY VERSION CWM FLASHABLE ROM.
I have flashed this CM7 NIGHTLY rom from CLOCKWORK MOD on my cm7 rom i was using.Everything seems to be okay with this rom.
Like the cm7 rom, it doesnt require additional google apps and ussd codes package.
Both packges seems to be included in this version.
Using these roms for 7days with not much of a problem. It gave force close error 2-3 times during application. but it seems stable still.Just like the cm7 rom.
i also tested miui rom which is v 2.4. it seems be much better than the 2.3(or may be lower) version earlier posted here in xda.Same as cm7 nightly, miui rom also doesnt require flashing googleapps and ussc codes packages.I reaaly dnt like miui at all.neither earlier one nor this one!!

Exactly it was hard to find.
Btw did it solve the mute in call issue?
and the earlier issues in CM7?
Any camera improvements? boot time speed up? Radio app working? kindly give us some details mate
2g/3g changing issue in miui rom
I don't have any problems with any of the roms...except that the fm radio in both keeps force closing...otherwise everything is working...including 2g/3g
Sent from my Dell Venue using xda app-developers app
in MIUI rom by hdjack try to go to settings>mobile networy type selection and try to open it it will always force closes.
Mute is working in this cm7 rom.I never used that feature when i had earlier version of cm7.
But in this version when i needed to mute, it did work.
I found phone to be slightly less sensitive to touch and may be just a bit slower.or it may be my imagination?? who knows!
It works well n im enjoying it.

Yes u r right...it doesn't work...it FCs...but it is automatically set to 3g preferred network anyways...
Sent from my Dell Venue using xda app-developers app
yes 3g is by default which is good but in my country 3g is little overpriced thats why i use 2g and in this rom i cant set it back to 2g
dude i am from india also...i know the prices of 3g...but i dont get that problem...it always stays in 2g...it changes only if u activate 3g...anyways...cm7 doesnt have that problem and the old miui rom also didnt have that problem...
yah other roms doesnt have this problem but it will be cool if someone figure it out how to correct it
Can some one provide in depth review or changes / advancements with this new nightly ROM
i am using the miui rom of hdjack for nearly 1 month.
basically it has no problem at all. rom is smooth better and u can also get overclock kernel upto 1190. one thing i noticed that sound quality is little better than the previous miui rom.
the only problem in this rom as i mentioned earlier is u cant select the network type as 2g/3g. it will always give force closes when u try to change it.
and if u use overclock kernel may be sometime ur dell venue will reboot itself but not everytime sometime.
but all the other things are working flawlessly
regards
I have found a workaround for 2g/3g changing.
type *#*#4636#*#* then go to phone information then scroll down to set preferred network type and there u can change to gsm only or wcdma only or other option as u like.
Hope this help.

Will try it right away...let's see...and I don't like the lockscreen in the miui rom...liked the previous lockscreen though...and my 2g net sucks as I can't download new lockscreens for my phone...it always says cannot connect to network

It works thaks a lots kakagi

Using MIUI v2.4.27
Camera quality is not as good as froyo stock rom
Camera shutter is also slower than froyo
50% of the calls, the other party can't hear me (some say sound is garbled). I have to hang up and call again for it to work. Its particularly frustrating when some one new is calling you... since they don't hear you.. they disconnect the call and sometime don't call back
Battery life is bad.. have to use battery saver apps like 2x battery to make the battery last 12 hours.
gaming is bad.. just about all games lag.
3g/2g cannot be selected using ui.

Thanks a lot for the REV.
Is it GB 2.3.7?
I have been using this ROM for some time now, and since the update allowing super user its has worked rather well,
I was wondering if anyone can post some fixes for the following problems (I'm a new user so I cannot post on the development page),
the audio does not work with headphones, I have tried many different types but it will simply play music out loud with or without headphones,
the inbuilt themes, I can download them and apply them but the theme will not change,
poor 3g connection, very tempremental but usable, (I did not have this issue with cm9 mini, cm7 or prime)
wifi - it can detect wifi but when I attempt to connect it is a failure, could this possible be due to my router ??
rotation - auto rotate does not work making it slightly harder to use on-screen keyboard
I can confirm a good battery life, specially in comparison to cm9,
runes smoothly, good battery life and smooth interface with 748MHz-19MHz [smartassV2] overclocking
If any one can make and update.zip or send me specific .apk's ect to fix any of these issues please do so, further more I would like for someone to post the issue of the headphones not being recognized on the actual thread,
Make sure to have NAA kernel 11 installed.

I have the latest ICS kernel installed and it worked fine with nAn's CM9 port but it very temperamental on miui, my on screen keyboard will not appear at times whilst other times it works relatively well or my screen will not wake after it is unlocked (i will be able to unlock the screen and click on apps but the screen is completely off) the only way I can fix it is locking and unlocking the screen multiple times so it catches up :S
but by far the headphone jack not recognizing any of my headphones including the standard set you get with the phone is my biggest issue, I love my music, the issues hasn't been mentioned on the ROM page so I'm unaware if its just effecting me, which would mean I've done something wrong or it is an actual bug that has been overlooked
thank you for the quick response by the way :good:
There is another MIUI rom, by stelios97, where the headphones don't work either, but he suggests a workaround Take a look here and see if that fixes your problem.

hey guys, ive had this issue for a while but its only been buging me since i use bluetooth, nfc and hotspot allot so i decided to go to touchwiz roms which offer all those cappabilites, only issue is that i realize the roms tend to be REALLY laggy and it is riddiculous, i am currently useing OMEGA ROM the latest one, wiped out cache and etc and still laggy, hope you guys have the same issue as well. if anyone else has the same issue please let me know! Cheers.
Same here. Often while typing keyboard.. i think it needs more developments

i notice it heavily when going to the homescreen and exiting out of apps, maybe an issue?

Hotspot issues are sadly a major issue while the NFC can be fixed using a file called NFC Fix.zip in the paranoid android forum. And to make the rom seem faster try editing the dev options and make windows transition 0.5x
thanks, ill give it a try, been trying all these but havnt really made a difference. thanks for the advice!
Bump?
