ok i was just looking around and found this in the regular galaxy dev section and found that this works for our phones too wich makes me really happy and it also gives you plenty of extras along with it and i think i saw the droid x's keyboard on there somewhere too..

and for those that dont know how to install this here are your instructions!!
1) download files (of course...)
2) unzip files to where ever you want
3) place files on your phone or use adb install to install them.
4) once files are on the phone use a file manager of choice and just install them as you would anything else.
the clicker.apk is for the calibration of the keyboard, but i see no difference in doing it but you can do as you wish its your phone.
and there is no possible way to brick your phone from installing such a simple app but if you manage to do so its your fault, but i will help you out as best as i can to fix it!
i did not make this keyboard or the theme the theme was made by gimpsta and the keyboard itself was made by Jonasl i am looking to find a good samsung or vibrant image to use as a spacebar pic so any suggestions would be great

if you theme use 27 high NOT 27 HIGH FROYO it wont work.
Forget that KB! The best one is the ported Droid Multitouch keyboard with voice to text. It's better than Swype, Swiftkey, HTC IME, etc...

I love it, but sadly it doesn't work properly on this phone.Labels on the keys are tiny! Can't even see anything.

Its my first time posting here on XDA. I have been a Lurker for about 2 years and have become a mid level user. I have followed multiple forums (nexus, mytouch, hero, etc) my question is why is everyone becoming so negative and brash with each other. This used to be a place where people who were tech savvy and wanted to make their phones work better for themselves would come to ask questions and receive answers from people who may have known a bit more than them. Lets all just try and help each other out.
OK... all ranting aside I say this keyboard is great. BUT... we do need to figure out how to make the letters bigger but the overall performance of the keyboard is good.
Oh... and BTW I realize this is in the wrong section but it needed to be said and everyone harping on the beginners for posting in the wrong sections was starting to bug me. To all of those who are mature enough to politely answer them and let them know the correct sections for next time... thank you. So to reiterate my relavant question. Is there a way to make the letters on this keyboard bigger?
Yes, back on topic, sorta, I would love for someone to figure out a way to get the Droid X's keyboard working correctly. It's a great keyboard but its unusable right now on the Galaxy as the key labels are too small. Wonder if it's a font issue?

Trying to be as mature as possible- this would do much better as a new thread, requesting someone develop it... I wish I knew enough in the coding world to help...
Essentially, can we get some new keyboards for this phone??? That and CM5/6 seem to be the front runner requests

It has to do with the rom that's on our phone, on nexus one letters are bigger and look great.
Do I need to root my phone to install this? How do you install it? Copy to sd and run it from there? Once installed, can I uninstall it if I dont like it? Thanks!

Can anybody tell me the difference between this keyboard and SwYpe other than it's supposidly faster and better?
I just rode on the bus and train this morning using my thumb and swype. Had a great time using Swype. Does this keyboard have a feature-set similar to this?
If not, i'm not that interested.
And on a side note, I think the ****-swinging here also has to stop.
We're all here in it to crush Apple and their Steve Jobs ****-sucking audience.

i too love the htc touch keypad.....i downloaded the zip and installed (unrooted phone) the HTC_IME_hi.apk and it works great...but what is the Clicker_hi.apk? Should i install this other apk?

Swype does have a voice option...just enable the swype keyboard and hit menu.
Yeah im using the htc ime right now and its by far better then the droid multi touch keyboard

Hi everybody, im wondering if anyone would be able to pull and post their browser.apk here for me (from fission vanilla and the stock if at all possible)!? Im active in the evo 4g sections and unfortunately, all the sense based browsers are difficult because of one function, PINCH TO ZOOM! Stupid HTC has is set by default(and cannot be permanently changed) to rejustify text on pinch to zoom, which doesnt sound bad, but trust me, makes for an AWFUL experience trying to browse the web. Every time i try to zoom in on a button or on a picture or anything, it gets moved 2 or 3 screens over... I cant TAKE IT!!! so it would be lovely if any of you wonderful people might be able to help me out and ill see if i can get that baby installed one way or another, thank you!
Not sure if the Browser.apk from our phones will work on yours. Try downloading and extracting the apk from one of the roms posted in the D2 development forum. Stock is Blur-based and definitely won't work, but you can try Fission (Vanilla). Might work for ya. Good luck!

thank you very much for the link! and i honestly would've gotten it myself had i realized it was as simple as yoinking it from the zip lol. somehow i didnt think you'd be able to get very far into the rom without it being flashed, but i guess it just shows how much i am at the mercy of everybody here still, thank you again!

I would try Picspeed, they have a bunch of wallpapers like that under their 'abstract' section.
From the looks of it, it seems to be a fairly easy image to recreate in Photoshop or something like that. I would make one for you if i had photoshop, but my MacBook is broken and i do not have it installed anywhere else.
But you should find some similar wallpapers if not the one you're looking for if you search for Android wallpapers on Google.

I was fooled...by 'sexy' wallpaper...I was expecting something a little....'different'
There are some apps out there on the market that have some really nice wallpapers. I'd check those out, I've found some really nice wallpapers through those. Unfortunately I didn't keep the apps so I don't remember what they were but they're plenty out there on the market.

That wallpaper belongs to Samsung Galaxy S II HD LTE rom. You can search may get it!
I just made a really simple widget that just makes a "shadow" for you to use as an overlay. Right now its just 1 color and 1 opacity, no settings. This is the very first thing I have EVER made for android so that's why it's so simple. I will try and add customization soon, if someone can help me with it that would be great otherwise I'll just figure it out myself(might take a little while). Hopefully this helps someone out there to make the creation of a "Hubs" style layout a bit easier.

There are 2 or 3 posts about HUBS and how to create the widgets and such already in this forum, including a post from the original author. The link below is to his post and it has tutorials and videos that will show you all you need to know to create the HUBS layout that works best for you. It will give you all the help you need to make whatever widgets you like. You might have already seen this post but here it is just incase... If so just keep at it as it is very easy, just takes a bit of time.

I did read your silly OP and it said nothing about an "app" and I quote "I just made a really simple WIDGET that just makes a "shadow" for you to use as an overlay." You made it sound like you were experimenting with HUBS. Also when I replied there was no [APP] in the title of your thread just [HUBS] so don't come back calling me out when I was just trying to help according to what was in the original OP. Take your 43 posts to some other forum Jackass. If you would have read my post I stated that YOU MIGHT have seen that post I linked to, so show a little respect when someone is only trying to help instead of popping off, and maybe "Please actually read YOUR OWN OP next time.

You are right, I was wrong to flame. I just lost my temper to the sarcastic post he replied back to someone just trying to help. I don't claim to know it all and I help where I can... Where do you see that i'm bragging?
Again to the OP, I'm sorry for losing my temper. But without downloading and actually seeing this was an .apk it does sound like it is just a saved widget. So that being said thank you for making the app as will save some time for people doing HUBS.

You were just trying to help, I just thought the OP stated that I made this widget for other people to make it easier for them to make Hubs layouts. I see that it wasn't that obvious and I'm sorry for the harsh response. We are both in the wrong so lets just forgive and forget.

You bet thank you! I have downloaded the .apk and will give it a try soon as my prime is charged. I am no Dev by any means but will help out with it any way I can.
Finally got time to give it a try and it does what it says quick and easy. Works with no problems and i'll keep an eye out to see how far you can go with it. If it gets to different colors/transparencies and pre-made with text it will really be a great time saver. Not sure all of that could be done though.
I tried it, but when I stretch it across my screen in landscape it doesn't go all the way across. I use ADW with 10x10 grid and it only fills about 6 or so grids across but its centered...

Thanks for that, I'm not entirely sure why that is since i made the normal size of the widget 1300x900, but I'll look into it. Just wondering, were you just testing it or do you actually need it full screen. I kinda figured nobody would ever need it fullscreen so I never really checked it. Right now I'm working on that configuration menu(still trying to figure out how to use a color picker in my widget...so if anyone could help that would be great), but I'll try to address this issue as well when I release the new update.

Actually I just fixed that full screen problem, I just had height and width mixed up

But applying the theme "flair", I found something little,that irritates me a bit: is there any option of changing the homescreens´ order? Because in my opinion,the 2nd screen would look better when it´s on the first position... I hope you guys understand my question

For now there is no way to rearrange pages, but you can move the widgets around, which may help. Good luck!

There are various tools available, however they aren't recommended.
