But if you can't enter fastboot, you can't unlock bootloader?!
When you type *#*#7378423#*#* and then Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status and If Bootloader unlock allowed says yes, there shouldn't be any problems! If there's no you can't unlock bootloader...
How did you unlocked (or tried to unlock) bootloader? By sony official or testpoint method?

Okay bootloader unlock no means, that you can't unlock your bootloader. There are some threads about, so maybe you could take a look there.
Maybe it could work with wotan but this is a paid method... I don't know just search for something like "xperia lww bootloader unlock:no"
Is it branded by a special carrier? So you can only unlock by SE Tool 2!

only when its supported by ur device

My rom is stock ics

No, he CAN'T unlock the bootloader if it says bootloader unlock: no. So your link won't work! HE CAN'T.
Just with SE Tool 2. Google for it and look for tutorials if you really want to unlock your bootloader!
But with sony he can't if it says bootloader unlock allowed: no!

root without unlocking bootloader
@OP :
if tht is the problem then even u can root ur device by downgrading firmware, rooting and then upgrading ..
by this u will finally have rooted device with clockworkmode

So you have installed flashtool and go to installation folder > drivers and you installed all the drivers for all devices? Just install all.
After that turn phone off, wait 30 seconds (maybe just 2 secs but better wait). Afterwards hold volume up and while holding just plug in the computer, don't turn on, just hold volume up and connect to pc
But to flash a custom kernel you have to unlock bootloader. How to is in my signature

i have the same problem, i had already installed flashtool and android sdk, downloaded the Google USB Driver Packager, downloaded android_winusb.inf, but when i connect my turned-off wt19i with Fastboot button pressed to my computer - nothing does not matter. Only blue indicator lights on my phone. What s wrong? Please, help me

Just wanted to summarize some replies.
1. Bootloader unlocking is needed for custom kernel flashing. Even if it stays locked, u can STILL ROOT ur phone and flash a good custom rom. Just try the doomlord rooting to root.
2. For all guys unable to get into fastboot, please have flsshtool running on ur system when ur doing this. If the device doesn't connect, please post log from flashtool.
Also make sure u enable usb debugging and unknown sources from phone settings beforehand. And also go to connectivity and usb connection modd shud be MSC not MTP.
Also use flashtool latest version only. I think its 0.9.9.0 rt now.

It's better to do it via Flashtool i Think...The procedure is this:
1. Download Flashtool,then install,then go to C:/Flashtool/drivers and install flashtool_drivers,when you've done this if your pc has a 32bit cpu,start the normal one,otherwise start Flashtool64
2. Before connecting the phone to the pc,enable USB Debugging and Unknown Sources, then connect the phone and let it install the drivers.
3. Go to FlashTool and when it recognizes your phone, click on Plugins->Bootloader Unlock->Run and follow CAREFULLY the instructions.
4. When done, voilà,you phone will have unlocked BL! But don't forget to root it
Hope I helped ya

FOR XPERIA X10/ X8/ PRO/ X10 MINI ONLY
Before unlocking bootloader you should check whether it is safe to unlock or not.
For that:
1. download s1tool >>you can download it HERE<<
2. Run the downloaded program and click "identify" button on top right corner.(Don't connect your device)
3. Now switch off your device and connect to PC pressing and holding back button in your device.
4. If it says "SEMC SIMLOCK CERTIFICATE", then you can proceed further for unlocking bootloader.
#NOTE: Proceed only if your device passes the above requirement.
Steps to unlock bootloader in your device
1. Download flash-tool V0.6.8.0 >>you can get it HERE<< and run
turn on your USB debugging on device [setting>applications>development>usb debuging]
2. Connect you device and wait until it recognizes your device
3. Then click "plugin > bootloader unlock> run"
4. Then you will get a message in which says "to switch off your device and connect to PC pressing and holding back button in your device" and do it.
5. The unlocking process will begin. Wait until Flashtool ask you to disconnect the cable off
the phone, then turn on the device and connect the usb cable once again
6. Then flash tool says ”Successfully applied unlock Rebooting”
7. Then your bootloader is unlocked
Now to check whether bootloader is unlocked or not
2. Run s1tool and click "identify" button on top right corner.(Don't connect your device)
3. Now switch off your device and connect to PC pressing and holding back button in your device.
4. Then under "PLEASE ATTACH TURNED OFF PHONE NOW" this line

5. This says you have unlocked bootloader
i installed custom rom xperia S. unlocked bootloader and works fine for me..no other issues...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1516960

Guide [for beginners] - How To Unlock Bootloader via Flashtool

I am assuming your phone can be bootloader unlocked and you have unlocking key from sony.
If you don't know then refer to this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1527159
WARNING: IT WILL WIPE YOUR PHONE DATA SO MAKE BACKUP
1. Install Flashboot and Fastboot drivers of Flashtool (setup file will be on C:\Flashtool\drivers or similar place).
2. Turn on your phone, and connect with usb debugging on.
3. Go to Plugins-> Bootloader Unlock option, start it.
4. Now it will ask to disconnect your phone and reboot in FLASHMODE.
5. Again reboot your phone in FASTBOOT mode.
6. It will show a window with your IMEI number, insert your unlock key and click "unlock".
7. The device will reboot and you are done!
FLASHMODE
You can get into flashmode by pressing specific hardware key and connecting phone to pc via USB.
It will glow GREEN LIGHT on led if done correctly.
Hardware key-

Volume Down Button (Xperia U,P,S,Sola)

Yes I checked, it can be unlocked
If you have installed Flashtools and its drivers correct you shouldn't get any driver prompts when plugging the phone in
Assuming you did a default install browse to C:\Flashtool\drivers and execute the drivers file. Make sure you select the drivers for you phone ie "Xperia U" and scroll to the bottom of the list and select Flashboot and Fastboot drivers. From what I have seen so far most people are not installing these 3 drivers.
karimkahale: I would go back to the Sony website and get your unlock code again. Maybe you entered some wrong details...
Please help me out,

Thanks a million, but would my warranty be void immediately after I unlock the bootloader, what's the regulation about this matter, I'd like to keep my warranty.
---------- Post added at 10:00 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:45 AM ----------
If i relocked the boot loader the warranty wouldn't be void, right?
Not quite;
It all depends on your repairman...
The standard, though, is, that the warranty is valid if the guys at the repair center can flash a stock ROM (.ftf) onto the phone. Some phones can do this without their bootloader being locked, but some can't do this after their bootloaders are unlocked, even if they are locked back afterwards...
Now, I have a question:
I'm having the same error as karimkahale...
Whatever I do, I get that stupid error, and not even Sony can help me (their support team (that needs a week to reply to a simple e-mail) said that thy don't know how to help)...!
Thanks a lot for the guide, it was really helpful!
Cheers!

Some phones are not allowed to unlock, you can check by dialing *#*#7378423#*#* and go to Service info ------> Configuration, and check if the unlock for bootloader is allowed or not, if it says no, then you can't, if it says yes then we can go to next step.
I already checked and it is allowed

1.Download the Flashtool and then install it on your computer.
– get it from official Flashtool Download page.
2.Launch the Flashtool program on your computer after the installation is complete.
3.Click the ‘BLU’ icon in Flashtool.
4.You will now be asked to connect the Xperia Z2 in Flashmode.
5.Power off the phone.
6.Connect the USB cable to your PC first, then press and hold Volume Down on your smartphone and connect it to your PC.
– Flashmode should be loaded and Flashtool will show the Device Selector screen.
7.Select your Sony Xperia Z2 model from the list.
8.Now Flashtool will display the ‘Bootloader Unlock Wizard’ screen.
9.Click on the Unlock Button for the Bootloader Unlock process to begin.
10.After the process is complete you will see the Flashtool log window. Check the log info and verify that the Bootloader Unlock process has been applied successfully.
I think you should open flashtool software with a working internet connection so that it can synch device list from GitHub.
