I installed angry birds Rio today just fine. Later I had to do a factory reset. I tried to install angry birds rio and after the download is finished, it said package file is invalid. I tried to download a few other apps and they installed fine.
I've tried clearing cache and play store data still no luck?
Anyone want to dl the app to test it out?

It means, there is an issue the package/apk available for angry birds in Google playstore at the moment. This kind of problem usually gets fixed after free hrs to few days.
You can restore the game If you have a backup, or side load it (download it off market via app brain or getjar)
Swyped from my Samsung Galaxy SII

So I have AOKP on my galaxy nexus 4.0.4. I made a back up and installed there JB AOKP to try it out. Lasted about 1.5 hrs. Then I restored with my CWR Backup. I made this back up on June 30. After I restored there was 3 apps thats didnt saw I purchased them when I did on friday. I have google checkout to prove it. I used titanium to restore the 3 missing apps but now in the play store it dont show them under MY APPS. Only when I search for them it shows them. What could cause this and how do I fix it? Theres no way I should have to buy them all over again. The werid thing is titanium worked fine and showed purchased in the play store but the other 3 apps didnt. Maybe its because I purchased titanium yesterday right before the i flashed JB AOKP. The other 3 were on friday.

go to titanium, and fix the market link of the three apps
I couldnt find that as a option. titianm is not as simple as my back up pro.

just "buy" them again from market, you won't be charged a second time
Maybe.....

I know this is kinda old but every time I try to download an app that I've purchased it doesn't show up as being purchased, and prompts me to buy it again. I tried just buying one of them again just to see what would happen and it gave me an error message saying I already owned the app, but it would not install. I've tried clearing cache/data, I've tried clearing the cache/dalvik cache via TWRP, I've tried installing an older version of Google play, I've tried clearing the cache/data for Google play services, I've tried factory resetting my phone twice, I've tried remotely installing the apps through Google play on a computer (it just says an unexpected error has occurred) I've tried deleting my Google account from the device and signing back in, and absolutely nothing seems to work. I'm on a OnePlus 5 running OxygenOS 5.1.1 (Android version 8.1) and I'm rooted using Magisk. I'm gonna try wiping the phone and reflashing the OS later today so I'll let you know how that goes but any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

What worked for me with a similar issue was removing Google play store completely (with a root file manager or in twrp), reboot and then flash gapps again. After that the play store was working fine again.
P.s. the path to play store is /system/priv-app/phonesky
At least on my Android 8.1 device.

I just tried that, and when it didn't work I went through with re-flashing the operating system all together and I'm now running stock and it's STILL not working so I'm officially at a loss... Thank you for your suggestion though I actually hadn't thought of that.
Is it just me or has google lost most of its apps?
Or is there some restrictions on my note n7000 after the latest update??
Tried to search for temple run on Play Store but it didnt show the game app itself although its it already installed on my phone it should stillcbe there on the list.
And most of the apps even if its searchable it says application not compatible on my device. How come?
Is there anybody who can enlighten me regarding this situation? Thanks in advance.
GT N7000
STOCK ICS 4.0.4
SPEEDMOD KERNEL 3-15 ROOTED
Everything is fine until last play store update.
Up.
Help please.
I am not sure of this but when you upgraded to ICS, it consumed many resources from your devices like RAM. So I think now those apps cant run on your device. Dig some more u'll know actual problem.
Thanks though, but as what i've said Temple Run as for an example is already installed on my phone but when you view it on play store it says its not compatible on my device. Heck, i can even play chaos rings and all those high end games on my phone. The thing is, being on ICS is not the issue here since ive been on that firmware for months now and everything is ok until play store updated itself a few days ago.
I even tried removing playstore and installing it back, still the same.
by reinstalling play store i think you means gapps reinstalling right??
if no than reinstall gapps of your device.
Yes i flashed gapps again after removing it. But its still the same. Apps from play store are lesser than they were supposed to.
I can search most of the games using browser and can see the link at play store but it always says that its not compatible on my device even if most those apps are already installed on my phone.
Did the rom you flash or have you changed your lcd density? This will cause apps to be not compatable
I am on stock rom ICS 4.0.4. The only thing i flashed on my phone is kernel and gapps. Never tried to flash a rom.
And currently im on speedmod kernel 3-15.
Try market enabler
This solved my problem bro

As I don't use Market Enabler myself, I can only guess...
Oh, I found something in another thread:
1. Go to Google play service, uninstall updates and clear data.
2. Clear data from playstore.
3. Delete the Google account from your phone and reboot, then re-add the Google account.

I haven't tried it, but it could probaly solve your issue with the wrong carrier name in Play store.
Make a backup (of Play store in Titanium Backup, and if you have CWM recovery a nandroid backup of your system) before.
Good luck !

The Play Store displays no connection even with wifi. Already tried wiping dalvik cache, cache partition. Also tried force closing and clearing data from Google Play Services, Play Store, Google Service Framework. Help!!
Not enough information, your Play app could be corrupt, app settings, ROM or Google account.
Try logging into Google play on the website first to check the account works, then un-install Play app, re-install without settings, last try factory reset/reflash ROM.
It could be really simple or very terminal, like you've disabled a service or corrupted your ROM.
extra info
Google play account works on website. Tried signing out and can't sign back in - "Couldn't establish a reliable connection". Google play v3.10.14. How do you uninstall google play app?
Have you tried clearing the cache of google play services and google play in the application mananger ?

Thanks Muchly! Didnt think about the ad block.

found a better solution that worked for me without doing a factory reset or device wipe. just delete the hosts file in root/etc/, by using (total commander) app.then reboot ur device and run play store and enjoy. Make a copy of the "hosts" file just incase .
I hope it works for u guys , cuz it's really frustrating error.
Try clearing data from google play app and reboot ?

Deleting the hosts file and rebooting worked for me too. Thank you! :good:
AdFree
When using a rooted phone and you used Freedom for free in-game purchases, and as a result your play store won't connect, it's due the host file as stated in previous comments by others. To get rid of this problem, simply revert your host file and download the new host (both in the adfree app). This should fix the problem, hope it helps
Wrong Gapps version
After trying all solutions posted in this thread, I realized that the whole problem was that I had flash the wrong version of the Google Apps for the android version.
You can find which is the right one for your CM in the CyanogenMod Wiki. Sorry, I can't add the link now, it is my first link.
Fixed mine by realizing that somehow my system date and time were wrong.

Woohoo! That was it for me. This is on my old phone that I let sit for 6 months. Charged it up but couldn't access the Play Store to update apps. Turns out the Date was 1/1/2005. Gave it today's date and it connected right up.

So, I have the AOKP ROM on my phone and I decided to update my ROM through the updater that came with the ROM.
After updating it, I started having pop ups with 'android.process.acore'. It keeps telling me that it was crashing.
So, after researching, I uninstalled my Facebook and cleared my Contact Data etc.
Then I realized that after updating my ROM, my Gmail, G-Talk, and Google Play Store stopped working/uninstalled.
Every time I try to open the play store, it would crash and force close....
After multiple times, I decided to restore factory settings and wipe data/clear cache through recovery mode and reinstalled the ROM the old school way (downloading it online and storing it onto my SD card).
After properly installing the new ROM (AOKP), I still don't have my Google Play Store. I've tried to get my phone to download and install the APK file online, but my phone doesn't recognize the apk file.....
Now, I don't know what to do. I think I f'ed up..... Help? I tried searching it already......
Please and thank you for reading.
