I was curious about the new release so I installed it. The phone boots fine but after that the OS hangs. The Xperia bar lits up and the screen turns black, its stays that way. Reboot with VolumeUp+powerbutton was needed and after that the same problem again. So there is a bug somewhere in the system.
I think this post should belong in the dev section but since am a noob...user... am not allowed to post comments, yet. So i'm putting it here.

I'm using my Xperia Neo V now more then a year. It is running on official SONY release firmware. So didn't rooted. When the battery was empty like always i did, plugged to charger. After a few hours turned on. At the begin everything seems normal, after pincode i saw that main homescreen then it went off and booted again. And now this process is going on and on and on.. Rebooting all the time. Even before entering the pincode if i wait for while.. If i enter the pin tha i have just a few seconds... Then it boots again..
Is there anyway to rcover it? Recovery mode (turning on the device while hold/pushing on the audio buttons) don't work either. After pin step see the home screen and can see on the buttom "securemod" (i'm using it on Dutch no idea what it is in English so i guessed securemod - if i translate it in English this is the most likely word) but then it reboots again... So i tried without sim card / without SD card but still same.. Keeps booting all the time..
Can anybody help me?
I am repeating again: it is a device which is running on original/official SONY firmware!
Can i hack it to custom fw? Because the system and device nor working properly i have to find out a way to hack it when the device is turned off or hacking with the tricks when it is still in booting process....
Thanks folk..

hello everybody,
i used to be active on the x10 forum.
but recently i switched to xperia P.
i unlocked the bootloader,
used fastboot to flash custom boot.img,
fastbooted custom kernel (FreeXperia),
installed cm10.zip with the CWM included in kernel,
everything works except wifi and bluetooth (which i guess is the rom's fault, so i dont really mind)
and then i installed apps from the cm10 file manager.
it detects my 16gb internal memory.
but my titanium backup and some other apps says it cannot access my internal memory, so it doesnt show any apps. (usb is disconnected)
so i thought mayybe some apps dont have access, so i thought i should mount my internal memory (although it already works for my cm10 file manager).
that was a very stupid decision because i used this code from this website which i got after i googled and used it on my terminal emulator.
guess what happened? my device got stuck/hang/frozen.
then when i pressed the power button, it was totally blank, no response and the screen went off.
i tried force shutdown by pressing and holding the volume-up & power button at the same time for a long time, that didnt work either, it had no effect, there was not even a vibration.
and when i charge it, there is no charging light.
it doesnt boot, it doesnt show me the kernel screen, or the CWM screen.
this is worse than a bootloop.
anyone who has previous experience with this?? or has a suggestion on how to repair?
any advice will be much appreciated :crying:
Hold Volume + and Power key at the same time and wait it vibrate 3 time after 1 time and connect your phone to PC for flashing the Stock ROM.
If the device is turned off, you need to press Vol- , connect to PC and flash stock ftf.

My phone is bricked!
I unlocked using this guide
m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=S6a0BWquqAc&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DS6a0BWquqAc
Which is same as
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1182871
Using this auto unlocker
http://j.mp/Ate8E5
and I also installed cwa from there
I then installed this rom on my phone and my Phone is now bricked! I can get into recovery and fast boot and all that but the problem now is that the battery is low and Apparently the phone doesn't charge while in recovery mode !?!?!??'. I know for a fact my battery is fine so that is not the issue. When plugged into wall I can turn the phone on but it won't go past the Motorola logo, I can make it go into recovery but as soon as I unplug it, it turns off. When I plug it into laptop it does not turn on so apparently the battery is not charging in this state? If anyone can help me I would really appreciate and would reward some how
Thanks

That's a softbrick. You could try flashing another ROM while plugged in to a charger, or you could charge your battery first with an external charger...

I can't flash another rom because the battery is so dead that it doesn't turn on when plugged into laptop
I can't charge my battery because apparently the battery doesn't charge while in android recovery or on boot logo, and I can't leave the phone off because when ever I plug it in it turns on automatically and gets stuck at he boot logo or goes to recovery if I hold the buttons down. I know for a fact my battery and charger and charging port are perfectly fine because they were working this morning before I started this whole mess that I have been trying to fix for the last 11 hours.... Please help
quetzalcoatl2435 said:
You have to charge your battery first. Either with an external charger, another Atrix phone, or a jumper USB cable. The most important thing is that you said it still boots to recovery/fastboot. That means that it's not a hardbrick. Now you have to get the battery charged and flash another ROM (don't use RSD, just try CM9/MROM/Nottach or something else).
Click to collapse
- I don't have another atrix or external charger does android really not allow it to be charged at the boot logo or in recovery? Is there any bypass to allow a charge?
- is there really no other fix for this? You might as well consider this a hard brick
quetzalcoatl2435 said:
- When you plug it in when off, does a battery icon show up? It flickers for a while and then goes blank but it does charge. The kernel does allow charging in recovery/off mode, but from what you've said, you got a bad flash. (Maybe the zip file was corrupt?)
- I haven't seen anyone getting a brick from this ROM per se. There might be some softbricks caused by bad flashes from corrupted zips (or compatibility problems), but as I said those are easily fixed by flashing the proper zip/another ROM, so there are no reasons to pull this release. Besides, this ROM came with a clear warning/disclaimer.
Assuming your phone still goes to recovery/fastboot, the boot.img flashed properly, so try point one above. There's no visual feedback for the charging process (still in the works), so you'll have to leave it plugged in for a while and try again later.
Above all, don't panic. Panicking cause reckless behaviour, reckless behaviour will make things worse.

No the battery logo never shows up,if I plug it in to pc a bright green light comes and the screen never turns on but it is not charging because I left like this for hours and the battery is still dead. If I plug it into a wall outlet the boot logo comes up and I can go into recovery. But still not charging
On a side note I have been looking for pc apps that will increase the USB power to trick my phone into thinking its plugged into a wall outlet "if that's what the issue is. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find any
On another side note I'm wondering if I can use a memory card reader to put a stock rom on a micro sd card and flash my phone while it's plugged into a wall outlet through the micro sd card, unless you think the issue is the bootloader and then I ask you two questions. What makes you think it's the bootloade?r and is there any way to fix the bootloader from a Micro sd card or any other fix u can think of?
There is absolutely no charging being done, in pc always off but green light on, in outlet always on won't stay off but doesn't go past boot logo.
Also would like to add that I don't get that "failed to boot" message that is talked about in the other threads so this is a different type of brick
quetzalcoatl2435 said:
I was just about to suggest that. If you can get into recovery, copy the new ROM on your sd card and flash while plugged in.
That should work.
But no stock ROMs, you need RSD to flash those sbf files, and you risk bricking your phone for real. Just download nottachtrix if you want a stock experience.

But if the issue is the bootloader then can I do anything?
Can you link me some known working roms that you would suggest?

Yes it displays unlocked on the top left corner and the recovery came with the auto unlocker script.
It's called Atrix 4g recovery v4.0.0.2 GOAPK.COM

This release bricked me who deleted all of my posts!?!?!?
Your posts were HEAVILY off-topic for that thread, and for the development section in general. I suggested that your posts be moved to a separate thread in the appropriate section, but i guess the mods decided to delete them instead. You should have just opened a separate thread in the Q&A section yourself, would have saved some trouble.
This thread will likely be deleted very soon too as it doesn't belong here.

I tried flashing the Zeus kernel using CWM, but I failed to realize the kernel was for the Verizon S3. When I restarted after flashing, it displayed the Samsung logo for a split second and then went to a black screen. The screen was on, but it only showed black. At this point I passed out, and when I woke up it was still on the black screen. I pulled the battery and tried to restart, and got the same black screen. Then I tried every way I know of (except using a jig) to get into download mode to no avail. Now when I turn it on, it vibrates once, flashes the logo, and then the screen shuts off and is useless. I think there's a solid chance I've ruined it this time, but if anybody has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Its that hardware is very different advice on here may not apply to you
So, I already had some issues with this device and they've been pretty similar, in a way that the problem always starts with random reboots when the power button is pressed. About two weeks ago I took it to a technician, because all sorts of connectivity (3G/Wi-fi/Bluetooth) simply stopped working, after yet another reboot. About 3 days ago I got it back and it was working fine except for the fact that the initial boot Motorola logo (The green one before the other logo animations) wasn't showing up. He told me it was fine because it was only an aesthetic problem because he couldn't find that image for my device's resolution.
This morning when i was going to work i picked up my XT1025 Moto E to check for messages and it suddenly restarted. So when I turn it back on, not only the animations did not pop up, but after some time all i get is a black screen, no UI whatsover, all I can do is turn off/restart the phone. At random times when I turn on the screen, it's content shows up but I can't click anything, and then an error message pops up saying that ''system has stopped responding''. I've tried many things to fix it, but nothing has worked so far.
What i've tried:
-Wiping cache partition did not work
-Factory resetting did not work either
-Unlocking bootloader (but apparently it was unlocked already)
-Flashing a custom recovery did not work for some reason...
These last two were on the ''All-In-One Guide'' by neo.ank and honestly I have no idea what i should do to fix this problem - I was thinking about reinstalling the stock ROM but i'd rather ask here first for you guys suggestions... (like i said, complete newb here).
Sorry for the long post and bad english, hopefully someone can help me out on this.

I think it's currently using lollipop 5.1.
If u want to get back to stock 5.1 then flash stock rom. Then download the firmware from below link .
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347783250
and download the batch file

1. Boot ur phone in fastboot mode then.
2. Extract the firmware and batch file on same folder and click on the batch file.
3. Click on the Fashtool batch file.
