-Well yes,The CostumROM has better performance and battery management.
-Off Course it working fine so i Use it,Still waiting for JB.
-There was some script around this forum (Slaidyboost or Supercharge) Try to use it if you don't wanna unlock your bootloader

You don't need to unlock bootloader. Some ROMs can be flashed with locked bootloader
There's a ROM listing in my guide, in my sig. Take a look.
Real ICS is a good ROM which you can flash on locked BL
Sent from my ST15i

just do a basic backup and do a full wipe. stock ICS on my device is buttery smooth

Did you factory reset? mine is working fine on ICS so far.
Smooth like GB. Almost stable
Mine is unrooted and locked bootlaoder

Follow me on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1799786

Which ROM would that be? Could you provide a link plz?

You can install real ics 5.1 rom with kamarush kernel overclockable up to 1.9GHz or cyan or miui.... or you can flash back to stock gb since gb is less resource demanding...

I'm pretty sure that locked bl kernels work on both locked and unlocked bl's, but unlocked bl kernels don't work on locked bl's.

lol.. request in munjeni's thread.... and also do request him to make a oc kernel that works with stock based (.54 ics) also... he is a great dev...... but i sort of miss the oc in .54..........
V14 works perfectly on Stock FTF look my signatures but not working on any of the custom rom like yours.
Munjeni has indicated there may be some ZRAM issue but as he has lot of development in hos hand being a great developer and off course personal like so he is unable to spend time to support other custom rom.
Highest regards for him
Try V14 on stock. 54 and see the difference.
I would also request you for a workaround with guidance from munjeni bro
Let's wait for AOSP Rom from our beloved developer
Thanks

You should ask the developer of Ultimate Sola V2 Rom . His nickname is pulak861. Just ask in the same thread that you quoted in your post.

[Q] Xperia U - Best ROM for locked bootloader

What is, in your opinion the best ROM for a Xperia U with locked bootloader.
Now i use CyanoSpaceMod 9.1 RC2. It is very fast but not quite stable. Is there a better ROM?
Do you think JB will ever get to run on locked bootloaders?
Check out SlimCM, GBRocks, Zperience, ShockGensmod
No mate, you can't have JB on locked bootloader !

Not after rooting, debloating and tweaked a little. The "best" is what suits you, which you'll only find out from reading the ROM threads and picking one

So you suggest installing CyanogenMod 11.0, is that better than
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2270027 ?
Ok so I have checked the mobile and it says bootloader can be unlocked: yes ... I now have an email with my unlock bootloader key.
Is this the suggested rom to use then?

Tbh, i'm new at xperia u. I've had it for the longest time without rooting/unlocking. 4.4 works for me. Sure, i experience bluetooth and video recording issues, but it works for my purposes (stable and fast rom. ART shows noticeable improvements, performance-wise). I'm not saying it's the best choice, just something to get you started.
I think its better to install this. Its better than ICS and bugless.
Or You can install Cyanogenmod 10, if you dont need xperia stuff=) This one is bugless too.
Install any of the Stock JB Rom... Stock JB is surely twice better than Stock ICS and its totally bugless
Note: Unlocked bootloader is required
