What is the easiest way to root Xperia sola - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

What is the easiest way to root Xperia sola without unlocking the bootloader because I dont want to lose my warranty
Thanks...

There is no way to root Xperia Sola Gingerbread based ROM without unlocking the bootloader. Don't worry, you can relock the bootloader if you want by flashing again. Another way is first upgrade to ICS firmware via PC companion and then root it. I heard, ICS firmware support rooting without unlocking the bootloader

what android version are you on?

First of all, if u want to root ur phone easily, u should update to ics.
Once updated to ics, u can root ur phone easily using binary's root
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460
If ur new to this u can also follow the video he uploaded to know how it should be done:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=7EpkrCq1gfM
Enjoy

This rooting method seems quite easy to do, but considering that after it with SU rights it is possible to modify and delete the system files, what about the warranty even with the bootloader locked?

As far as i know, it should not remove the warranty.. and even if it does, u can always unroot the phone as easily as u root it so it shudnt be a problem

But with root I could also delete some important system files that could cause the complete lock of the phone: so, how could it be possible to unroot in this case?

I want to root my phone simply and correctly, I dont want to take a risk to root my phone with Doomlord solution.

with with Doomlord solution...is more interesting because you do a bit of culture..
Ive rooted my mini pro with superoneclick that used the gingerbreak exploit after I unlocked bootloader, and until someone finds a different exploit , we cant root without unlocking the bootloader

If you stay on stock Rom you can get rid of the bloatware (the stuff SE puts pre-installed on the phone like Game/Program download, the 2 apks with market links..) also you can use some root-only apps like backup and automatic clocksync that works.

Also you can load custom versions of android, overclock your device (make faster) and underclock it (to save battery), also you can customize the ui to anything you want if you know what your doing.

I really want to root my phone easily with SuperOneClick or Gingerbreak.
Tell me when it can be root with it

you can root your phone now. All you have to do is:
unlock bootloader (read about it before you do!)
(if you aren't on the right FW -> Flash Firmware!)
flash unsecure kernel
simple root via superoneclick
done
Oh and remember you loose trackid amongst other stuff (search xda)

Is there (currently) a way to root an mini pro (SK17i) WITHOUT unlocking the bootloader first? I don't want to flash a Custom ROM just to be able to install Titanium Backup - for me the only reason to root a device.
as far as i know:
no sorry, no way to root android 2.3.3. (at least the one from sony ericsson with .368 or .335) on the new sony ericsson phones without bootloader unlock right now !
sad to say but true. Since, sk17i is new, there is no method like superone to root it. I wish they made it rooted already
well, since the normal user should not be able to have root access on his device I think not deliver it rooted is a good idea. However, I think it would be a good idea for the companies to make it easier to root... the only reason i made a bootloader unlock is for rooting... and thats kind of a hard instrument for just root!

Help with rooting

Hello and sorry if this has been already asked. I just got my new Xperia Ray and I want to root it, but I can't. I have locked bootloader, android version 2.3.4 and firmware 4.0.2.A.0.62. Tell me exactly what to do cause I am really newbie. Send me links with tutorials to follow if needed.
P.S.: Moderators move it to right.section if it isn't right now. As I said I new here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1567125
here for .62
as for unlocking bootloader , use the testpoint method , dont use the official SE method because if you use that method, your phone will brick when you apply the update from them.
With test point, you can get the official sony's ICS update.

I would just google "how to root xperia ray." Seriously thats how I rooted my droid x. Thats actually how most network problems get fixed at work.
Cheers

I did googled, but it seems locked bootloader is the problem. And I can't unlock with testpoints. Any way to root with locked bootloader? Also I managed to get to 4.0.2.A.0.42.

i suggest you refer hansip's thread

if you got any problems with the testpoint, i think you have to try harder as i also had failed so many time doing that...maybe you have to manually install the driver..
I downgrade to .42 with flashtool and rooted with zerg tool. Then installed busybody and cwm with se tweak. All with locked bootloader!

[Required]Root xperia s without unlocking the bootloader:-)

I bought my xperia s on march and I was planning to customize it with awesome roms and applications that are available only when rooted
Unfortunately it is sad that root is available only if I unlock its bootloader, I don't want my phone to be unlocked and make it unrecognized by pc companion are SEUS
I have used xperia x8 earlier it had root without unlocking but I hated its hardware which doesn't support most applications
And I don't wish to try new kernels as they will promote jellybean in future if so I will unlock my phone when it releases with no flaws
Will there be any way that I can root my xperia without unlocking?
Sent from my LT26i using xda premium
Not at the moment. You can re-lock the bootloader if you need to use SEUS etc
Impossible, search, thread reported.

Sola Root Problem

Hello.
I have been trying to make root but I could not do it.
My computer sees Sola as S1Boot Fastboot, but I cannot download Kernel and the LED is not blue. It's like violent.
How can I use Flashtool and flash the Kernel ? When I flash the kernel, will I able to format the system and install CM9 ?
Is there anyone out there?
There are many tutorials about this. You should look for it little harder..
Are you still on stock rom? Which firmware? If it's 10, you can root using restore method by b1nary. Hope I write correct name.. If you are on fw 54, flash kernel 10, root it using above method, then flash kernel 54 back

I am still on 6.1.1.B.1.54 Stock Rom bro. I am trying to unlock bootloader. I have been trying since yesterday. I have read too much things but I could not do it. Should I watch Binary's video again?
When trying to flash kernel, flashtool says " It must be rooted first " What should I do? I don't understand Binary's Method well. What should I download ?
In Binary's method there is something wrong. I am doing everything in that video, my phone resets itself and I don't still have Superuser app in my phone.
Rooting and unlocking are different thing.. i haven't unlocked as well.. have u seen this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=35024193&postcount=1
Can someone help me with this??

Since you will be rooting your phone and you will be able to install CWM recovery,it wouldnt hurt you to back up everything!
You will be fully covered if something goes wrong or if you decide that you prefer your stock Sony rom, with the whole phone configuration as it is right now!
Better root your phone and take a back up first!
Then, you can try ANYTHING you want!
